Greetings Wizards! Hope you enjoyed the video 🧙♂️ *FAQs* Q: Aren’t the Predator’s Grace boots the best in the game? 🧙♂️ You’re absolutely right! I must have overlooked them. The Predator’s Grace boots give you 100% Muffle, whereas, all other unique boots in the game offer just 50% Muffle or less. So, by wearing those boots with their 50% Muffle enchantment, you are not completely quiet, and enemies can still hear you! However, by wearing Predator’s Grace, all sound is completely eliminated, making them even better. Predator’s Grace also comes with 1% Stamina regeneration - do with that, what you will 🤷🏼♂️ The only downside of Predator’s Grace is its armor rating. But that’s nothing some materials and a workbench can’t handle, especially with a certain Restoration Loop 👀
I used to be a nurse for my grandmother and when that Dragonborn DLC came out she watched me play it, she even helped me solve the puzzles in some of the quests (she had played and beat every legend of Zelda game, so her brain was ready to think outside the box) and I remember when I got the deathbrand armor she suddenly wanted to play 😂 I miss my grandma and I love this game, thanks for the memory hahah
I'm sure your grandmother is looking down from heaven and probably frustrated as the rest of us are waiting on Elder Scrolls 6 to come out. You might be a grandparent by then?
I once used the boots of Azhidal to cross the lava in the aetherium forge... and it worked! You still get fire damage but with a high magic resistance, it's a piece of cake. And you can get to the hidden chest.
I did the same thing. Just used Histskin because I always play as an argonian. I have a hard time playing the quest now because I get sad when Katria disappears. It's always nice having Lydia and Katria in the dungeons with the falmer.
Frankly you don't need the boots, all you need is a high combined magic and fire resistance. One game when I had both I was able to jump in and take no more than about 2 or three points of fire damage per second.
It's good until you start fighting mid-high lvl spell magic users that will break your spellbreaker, which will stun and leave you wide open for free attack 2-3sec taking more dmg than if you simply dodged or used blocking magic resist perk
Oblivion: I made a set of rings, necklace, and bracelets that make me 110% invisible allowing me to slap someone, talk to them, them slap them again without them ever knowing I am there.
For the gauntlets, I do think the Ancient Shrouded Gloves are underrated. Sure backstabs can be hard to execute, but if you have 100 in sneak and take the Assassin's Blade perk, you can have a sneak attack with a dagger do *x30* damage. And if you pop use Berserker rage, it can take the backstab damage up to *x60.* The Blade of Woe and Dragonbone Dagger both have a base damage of 12, so you can see where funny numbers can come from. The true comedy comes from the 100 sneak perk, shadow warrior, where if you crouch, enemies will lose aggro for a moment, and if you execute an attack in that brief moment, it counts as sneak, so you can go up to any enemy (though enemies with high perception might not work as well), aggressively T-bag until you get the basically one-shot. And getting 100 sneak is pretty easy too.
the evil laugher when you stole the guars sweetroll was priceless! perfect way to get revenge on all the time the guards gives you this line: "Let me guess, somebody stole your sweetroll" now the guard will know our pain of stolen sweetrolls!
Here's my personal picks for each category. Clothes: Archmage's Robes. Hard to argue with this pick (though the Taven Clothes on female characters are a VERY close second, despite being unenchanted) Hands: Fists of Randagulf (CC). 20% more Melee Damage (a flat 20 to Unarmed) and 20% better block, these bad boys are Crazy Strong early on, and as a Khajiit (Unarmed Damage of 22) with Fists of Steel it brings your Unarmed Damage to an astonishing 57 (20+15 Base Armor)! The only weapon that comes anywhere close to that per hit damage is the Hammer of Stendarr which has a functional base damage of 50 (28 Base Damage, 22 from the Enchantment), but that has the downside of taking 20 points of your stamina every swing... and being a big slow warhammer. Feet: I'm gonna give it to Ahzidal's boots of Waterwalking. Even if I don't use them for anything other than Enchanting, the ability to walk on Water is still fun. Circlets: Aetherial Crown. It's not even close. Hoods: The Grey Cowl of Nocturnal (CC). You don't need to join the Guild to get this bad boy. Passive Detect live (with different colors to differentiate if NPCs are Neutral or Hostile!) and a boost to Carry weight and Sneaking! Granted it has the downside of turning all guards hostile, but there's a very simple solution for this; Just take the damn thing off before Fast Travelling to a City or Town. Helm: Say what you will, but the Masque of Clavicus Vile is the fit for me. Better Prices on a Headpiece without joining the guild, and as someone who almost always plays a Spell Sword, the 5% Magicka regen is a nice bonus. Masks: It's a Tie between Ahzidal, Zahkriisos, and Konahrik. Konahrik needs no introduction, but the other 2 act as a third rank of their respective Augment Element Perk, Fire Especially benefits from this (75% from both ranks of the perk and Helmet, and then an extra 15 Damage from Aspect of Terror after both ranks of Augment Flames and Intense Flames, though only spells get the 15 extra damage enchantments don't). Chest: I'm going to go with the Lord's Mail. Rather than a Poison aura (poison can be resisted), the Mail has a unique Drain HP effect that it casts on Enemies in Melee range (5HP a Second). It also gives 75% Poison resistance (almost the Resistance Cap, 85%) and a 17% Resistance to All Magic! And frankly, it looks better than the Ebony Mail IMO, It's certainly easier to find a good looking pair of Gauntlets and Boots to Match it. Neck: The Warlock's Mark is very useful for Conjurers (30% reduction), Virya's Charm makes you tankier (22 point bonus to both armor skills and the convenience of Waterbreathing), but I'll agree with the Galdur Amulet. Ring: By the Eight there's a lot of Rings, Especially after Fishing. The Ring of the Wind makes you move 15% faster. The Warlock's ring turns any shield (or blocking in General) into Spellbreaker by casting a ward AND makes your health regen faster. The Denstagmer's Ring pairs well with Otar for a combined 50% resistance to all 3 magic types. BUT I'm going to say that the Ring of Khajiit is OP because of how early you can get it. You move 10% faster which is Nice, but it lets you cast Hide at any level; an adept level spell that turns you invisible for 15 seconds (30 when dual cast). And here's the best part; it's base spell cost is 33 Magicka. Any Race can cast this spell 3 times with the base Magicka pool! And the quest isn't all that difficult either (Spirits away), all you do is fish up some Alcohol for Ri'Saad, granted it is a fair bit into Virya's fishing Quests.
i dont think it sucks since enchanting is more endgame stuff, sure you can cheese it and powerlevel it quickly but that makes the whole game obselete instantly, you dont need to look for new eq, ect. so base items and uniques are still great
Hiya TWW, newcomer to the channel. Love the vids, the humor, the detail, they all just scream high quality and it is astounding how much effort you put into each ad every video. I just wanted to say I love using Spellbreaker when paired with the Warlock's Ring as the Ward effect stacks, layering Spellbreaker's 50 point Ward with the rings 25 pointer.
I rarely see anyone talking about the Deathbrand armor(probably because it is busted). that it can surpass even Daedric Armor (un-smithed) with its full armor bonus as a light armor and it gives dual wielding a whopping %160 increase to damage when paired with all the damage perks in the one handed perk tree for dual wielding. AND its extremely easy to acquire also helps too. I do get that because it already comes pre-enchanted the Daedric armor can surpass it in customization but for being an armor that you get for just picking a couple locks is insane
Duel wielding in general is grossly underrated. Theres a weapon called bloodthirst in AE that makes anything you duel wield it with attack absurdly fast. Combine this with the duel wielding perks and the deathbrand armor and a stalhrim sword with chaos damage and frost damage and there is nothing you cannot beat in a dps race. even on legendary
Fun fact about the Ethereal Crown for you all, you can use it to get the maximum amount of XP boost possible in the game. Put the Lover's Stone effect on the crown, pick up any of the three guardian stones you want, then go to sleep while being married and with the crown unequipped, and put it back on again after. This gives you a 30% boost to all skills, and an additional 20% to the guardian stone skill you chose, reaching a whopping 50% extra XP.
Ahzidal's Boots of Waterwalking are good if you're traveling from Mortal to Solitude and you have to go across the water. Especially if you are doing a Survival mode playthrough.
That's probably because the main quest in skyrim is genuinely horrible, it's okay the first time you do it but then its just trash, not at all close to morrowind or daggerfall.
Two really dumb things. First, my current character is lvl 68, completed the Dawnguard quest line, and got his first dragon soul on an island north of Skyrim. Second, buckets are overpowered.
Only 1 of mine has. By accident. I cheesed the fight because I forgot about the enchantment on Mehrunzes Razor. 6 hits into my grand boss fight and he starts dying and I'm like "wtf?? No, wait, what did I do? Am I really that strong?" Then looked at my inventory and realized. I felt so robbed.
My favorite mask is Ahzidal personally. It with the Ignite spell is just insane. Also great for enchantment melee builds as it also affects the damage of enchantments. Also great for Vamps of course as it negates the fire weakness.
Also for circlets, even thoughyou can only get it via the Unofficial Patch or console commands, the Falmer Crown. It's an armored circlet (technically a helmet but it looks like a circlet so I count it as a circlet).
Archmage robes + become ethereal + atherial crown w/atronach stone in the character and the ritual stone in the crown + vampire necromage + atronach perk from alteration.. definitely the strongest. I tend to wear heavy and light armor to max out those trees then use the alchemy enchanting loop to craft an op potion of alteration, consume said potion then cast dragonhide for a permanent 80% damage reduction. Atronach perk and stone on a necromage vampire gives 100% magic absorb
The Ring of Erudite is almost worth enduring the glitched beyond measure vampire quest line of Dawnguard. The extra 100 magicka is nice, but the way it boost your base magicka regen rate by 66% is the real kicker. This means that every magicka regen enchantment you wear afterward will refill your magicka bar 66% quicker which, when combined with the aforementioned Arch-Mage robes and Morokei mask, means your base regen rate will go from 9 per second without to 15 with. Combine that with the Altmer highborn ability and you'll refuel in about three seconds, even in combat.
Thats my always hood...except when in cities. I often forget to unequip it before fast travelling to towns....then get surrounded by angry guards trying to kill me
@ryankerins361 yeah I really want to make a gray fox build now that I've experimented with it, was really fun until I got to the point where I'm permanently wearing the bonemold helm
I agree on the Aetherium Crown, but due to a bug that allows you to have it's effect without having the crown on, I believe after using that bug, the Diadem of the Savant is the best circlet. Light armor rating that doesn't conflict with the Mage Armor perk. -5% cost to all spells, which stacks with the Arch Mage robes and the Mentor's Ring. (-30% in total)
@2:32, A Breton in that outfit would be unstoppable in a straight magefight. @4:29, By the time I found those boots, my alchemy skill was 80+, so my water walking potions were OP.
My brother-in-law he’s a young teen never heard of Skyrim until I introduced the game. Now it’s his favorite game lol 😂 and he’s already figured out the mods so he has a blast with the game.
I once found INSANE dragon bone enhancted armor, all insulated too + health. I'm now at like 500 carry weight cap with 540 HP to pair lol. (Also, MAN I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!!!!!)
3 items that you kind of missed: the circlet the dendum of the savant (can't remember off the top of my head if it has an armor rating but I don't think so) and the sarthaul amulet both have similar enchantments as the archmage's robes just not as strong combine all 3 and you get a 23% reduction to all schools of magic and the shield turge of the blooded (I think that's its name) it has spikes on it that cause bleed damage when you bash with it and if I remember right it stacks (sorry can't remember their exact spellings and don't feel like putting Skyrim in to see them lol)
I gave my copy of skyrim to someone who has never played it, cause everyone should love this game as much as any who watch this channel. I miss my copy already and watching your videos gives a small piece of it back to me. Thanks wizard I truly appreciate it.
You're wrong on the boots. The best boots are "predator's grace", because the muffle enchantment on them is special. All of the other muffle enchants give 50% to the muffle effect, which makes you quiet... not silent. For total silence, you need to either get a second effect (muffle spell or ebony mail), or you get predator's grace with its 100% muffle effect. The extra stamina regen is just icing.
You’re right! Where armor isn’t concerned, the Predator’s Grace boots are indeed the best. You can always upgrade Predator’s Grace to outperform any boots with the Restoration loop too. Well spotted! I’ll add an update to my pinned comment
I kinda wish they would add in set bonuses for every armor so that way Iron and Leather early game can be used instead of getting early steel armor from Jarl Balgruuf, like how Zelda Totk did for it's weapons How about a video for best builds for the classic warrior, rogue, and mage?
My favorite part of this series, is how unapologetically subjective they are, with game strength in mind, but no where near top priority, after all a 1 damage "steam" breathing affect, isn't great, but damn sure is it neat
I hope when ES6 comes out that it has spell crafting like from oblivion, or something like it. Also reworking the enchantment system to allow for more than 2 effects to be on a single item. Maybe costing extra souls or specific souls to do (black souls maybe?).
The thing with muffle boots is you can actually get the best ones from merchants, or possibly loots, cause merchants can have muffle boots for sale on the light and heavy armor side
Did they ever patch the thing of pre-existing muffle enchantments being 50%, but player done ones are 100% always, so you'd always want to make your own?
@doctorcis3510 I've never seen any muffle enchantments I find being 50% or 100%, and there was no real difference when I used the boots from merchants or ones I made myself, so if that was an actual bug that existed then it should've been fixed now Edit: apparently it's still a thing according to the uesp wiki, so yeah player enchanted muffle is better
For a daedric prince nobody really thinks about such as peryite, it is funny how he has one of the greatest daedric artifacts than most of the other daedric princes.
Shrouded gauntlets/gloves are king imo. As they are the only items in the game that improve sneak attack damage (double), allowing you to essentially 1 shot most creatures in the game.
You're telling me the Welsh Wizard, who undoubtedly has the Muffle spell and Illusion perk of Silent Spellcasting, both of which are very easily obtained even by non wizards, placed Muffle boots above all others?
Excellent Underutilized Choice! Found those for my level 1 Character. But the Nightingale Boots had Muffle too, with a second enchantment that I forgot but was better than 1% stamina recovery. I hope you found Bloodthorn at that same location.
I wish more legendary items had unique enchants, cuz most of my games i wear OP items i can make via BS+ALCH+ENCH and those are usually so much better . few exceptions that are actually unique are luckily listed here ,like Ebony mail !
I watched most of this list before I realized that, with a half hour of cheese, I can make better equipment in pretty much every category. Maxed enchant for 2 per item, with a bit of enchantment/alchemy looping and you can easily make better versions of everything on the list outside of the very few with more than 2 enchantments or unique enchantments. Even without the loop, you can make equipment that is equal to most of what's on the list without to much difficulty.
You would think the first person on the list of who "doesn't love a good daedric deal" would be Sebastian Lort. You know, the guy you have to kill to get the rueful axe in the first place?
I found once dwarven boots with muffle enchantment. It happened only one time in 800h. Sad story i found it in one of few playthroughs where i wasn´t stealthy boy
How do you get all the standing stones at once? I'm not familiar with that exploit. I thought i knew all the exploits between mitten squad, spiffing brit, ymfah, and all the other greats

I tend to wear heavy and light armor to max out those trees then use the alchemy enchanting loop to craft an op potion of alteration, consume said potion then cast dragonhide for a permanent 80% damage reduction.
Atronach perk and stone on a necromage vampire gives 100% magic absorb
It’s like you knew I’ve been looking for more of these videos-
The Ring of Erudite is almost worth enduring the glitched beyond measure vampire quest line of Dawnguard.
Thumbnail is badass
Thumbnail goes hard 🫡
I feel like cowl of the gray fox wouldve been a good mention in the hoods
Thats my always hood...except when in cities. I often forget to unequip it before fast travelling to towns....then get surrounded by angry guards trying to kill me
@ryankerins361 yeah I really want to make a gray fox build now that I've experimented with it, was really fun until I got to the point where I'm permanently wearing the bonemold helm
thanks 🥰 good info for a new save
I can’t wait to use the prison glitch to wear all the armor you mentioned at once
Prison glitch?
The blooded targe should be a notable honourable mention given it's immense combat potential with a single Veggie stew and levels in blocking
Even at armor cap I am getting one shotted by my own Reikling Warrior who hits me about 10% of the time with friendly fire...
This guy is a good RUclipsr
He straight up called me out for all of these on my current playthrough @ 2:14
An added note to spellbreaker it also blocks any shout including dragon breath attacks
My man really forgot the Talos Amulet Lowering your Shout Cooldowns.
I once found INSANE dragon bone enhancted armor, all insulated too + health. I'm now at like 500 carry weight cap with 540 HP to pair lol. (Also, MAN I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!!!!!)
Great video
Yngol’s Helm is a def favorite for Heavy Armor warriors. The 50% frost resist is good but slap it on any Nord and complete frost immunity.
3 items that you kind of missed:
the circlet the dendum of the savant (can't remember off the top of my head if it has an armor rating but I don't think so) and the sarthaul amulet both have similar enchantments as the archmage's robes just not as strong combine all 3 and you get a 23% reduction to all schools of magic
and the shield turge of the blooded (I think that's its name) it has spikes on it that cause bleed damage when you bash with it and if I remember right it stacks
(sorry can't remember their exact spellings and don't feel like putting Skyrim in to see them lol)
I gave my copy of skyrim to someone who has never played it, cause everyone should love this game as much as any who watch this channel.
I miss my copy already and watching your videos gives a small piece of it back to me.
Thanks wizard I truly appreciate it.
That’s very kind of you. Though, I fear you may not get that copy back for some time 😅 really appreciate the kind words, fellow Wizard 🧙♂️
@@theWelshWizardthat's why I have 4 copies!
Yo! Can you make a video about the mods you use?
I agree 100%
I’m not a massive modder tbh but I could start getting into it. Thumbs up the comment if you’d like to see some modding vids 👍
Konahrik mask + Auriel's shield + dragonbone mace w/ chaos enchantment. Classic combo
Konahrik is also good when combined with Dragon Aspect Shout to Summon even more undead backup!
ive never gotten the final dragon mask. ever. in 13 years bro. damn. thats so cool. I always just pick up Krosis and wear that.
12:27 to be fair, Miraak never graduated on College of Winterhold 😅
I know. That’s part of the joke 💀
Forgot about Talos amulet
I kinda wish they would add in set bonuses for every armor so that way Iron and Leather early game can be used instead of getting early steel armor from Jarl Balgruuf, like how Zelda Totk did for it's weapons
How about a video for best builds for the classic warrior, rogue, and mage?
My favorite part of this series, is how unapologetically subjective they are, with game strength in mind, but no where near top priority, after all a 1 damage "steam" breathing affect, isn't great, but damn sure is it neat
Hold onto your horses got me
“Helmets to boots, amulets to rings…” I thought this mf was bout to rhyme on us
Lv81 me: I will just run around without my trousers
After seeing wilburgur bug out and start shooting steam like a centurion, i really want a dwarven power armor that shoots steam out when you stam out
I hope when ES6 comes out that it has spell crafting like from oblivion, or something like it.
@doctorcis3510 I've never seen any muffle enchantments I find being 50% or 100%, and there was no real difference when I used the boots from merchants or ones I made myself, so if that was an actual bug that existed then it should've been fixed now
Edit: apparently it's still a thing according to the uesp wiki, so yeah player enchanted muffle is better
I love Ahzidal’s full set
For a daedric prince nobody really thinks about such as peryite, it is funny how he has one of the greatest daedric artifacts than most of the other daedric princes.
Shrouded gauntlets/gloves are king imo. As they are the only items in the game that improve sneak attack damage (double), allowing you to essentially 1 shot most creatures in the game.
Video idea: ranking all skill trees
ES6 armors hopefully are insane. On top of that, I hope we get followers with the same level of depth we see in BG3
The arch mage robes would actually look pretty cool i think without the fur
I want another one of these, but for the creation club content.
Me:
You're telling me the Welsh Wizard, who undoubtedly has the Muffle spell and Illusion perk of Silent Spellcasting, both of which are very easily obtained even by non wizards, placed Muffle boots above all others?
I always say it… I am unbiased, sir/madam🧙♂️
Predator's Grace for the boots.
1:20 I like cheese . (someone had to say it)
The quest for that necromancers amulet bugged for me so now it’s stuck in my inventory permanently as a quest item and it’s just “strange amulet”
According to spiffing brit, the best armour is the one you enchanted after looping between enchanting rings and making potions for two hours
Boots with a muffle enchantment. muffle? fuzzy things. fuzzy? fur. Boots with the fur.
The answer to all of these is always "something you crafted yourself using maxed enchantment and smithing boosted with Alchemy"
The gauntlets of eminent wielding boost one handed attacks 30%, more than the nightingale gloves
I’d say speaking welsh would give an advantage to being able to pronounce dwarven names, never heard breath of nchuak said so effortlessly
Worn shrouded cowl has a bug where its invisible and you and you can wear it with other helmets for double protection
You would think the first person on the list of who "doesn't love a good daedric deal" would be Sebastian Lort. You know, the guy you have to kill to get the rueful axe in the first place?
Idk the spiked shield that deals bleed damage is kinda broken. Fun fact bleeding stacks infinitely
I don’t even usually use things that enhance sneak, I can enhance that myself in game lol
I found once dwarven boots with muffle enchantment. It happened only one time in 800h. Sad story i found it in one of few playthroughs where i wasn´t stealthy boy
I would say the spiked shield deserves runner up
We need Anniversay Edition Versions of your videos
How do you get all the standing stones at once? I'm not familiar with that exploit. I thought i knew all the exploits between mitten squad, spiffing brit, ymfah, and all the other greats
Fellow Winterhold College 🎓 here & avid user of The Archmage's Robes, WORTH IT😉.
