Ok guys at the end the doctor normaly says "to make you believe" But when you put subtitles it says "to make you Billy" And billy is the wraith and *SPOILER* At the end the wraith of billy goes inside you to stay alive. I think this is an easster egg from the subtitles makers

For all the people who say that "Sony Stole from PC" or "Xbox stole from PC AND Sony." Let me clear up what happened. See, Outlast originally was going to be a PC exclusive game. When the Pre-Alpha version of the game was tested by critics, the critics fell in love with the game. In response to this, both Sony AND Microsoft paid to have a version of the game made on the PS4 and Xbox One. However, the game was already late in development for PC when the payment was made, so the console versions would have been released on a later date than the PC version. The reason that the version for the PS4 came at the same time as PC is because when Sony heard about the late release for their version, they paid Red Barrels to speed up the development for the PS4 version. Microsoft however, did not follow this same strategy. In result, the PC and PS4 versions were released on the same day, while the Xbox One version waited a while longer. I am not biased to either side, the fact is that Sony wanted the game out as soon as possible so they paid to have it released quicker. That is not a problem, it is a marketing strategy. I hope this clears up this whole PS4 and Xbox One war.

This version of Trager's monologue should've been the one used in-game. The first half really foreshadows a lot of the story and narrative of both games. It's incredibly fitting...
I loved the hell out of this game on PC and it ran like shit for me. I had to play it on low and in 720p. Now I can finally enjoy it on the Xbox One HELL YEAH!
Horror is subjective, and with Outlast even though I played it through like 4-5 times I still it find it scary. It's the scariest kind of horror for me I like the sensation of being chased, and being able to hear the attacker breathing right on my neck. I legit get stomach butterflies. I panic whenever I'm in a small room with them and have to evade them on short notice. Or when I have to sneakily hide and avoid their attention and being able to hear their footsteps and them checking the lockers looking for you. Outlast is masterful in what it sets out to do, and it's the perfect length too, you can finish it in 2 hours. Sadly outlast's success meant the influx of uninspired, similarly gimmicky copy-cat games this past decade or so which certainly sucks, but the game itself I'd would consider one of the best horror titles ever but Outlast is freaky until you realize nothing will kill you if you just keep running in a circle around the map. That's what undermines its horror. Great atmosphere, grotesque character design and decent pacing, but it all falls flat after the player realizes nothing will kill them if they have room to run and hide over and over again... 🤷🏻♂️☯️✌️

In Outlast i think DR Rick Trager should have been played by Gary Oldman the same actor who played Lord Shen the nasty peacock villain in Kung Fu Panda 2 (2011) because he kinda sounds like him

I’ve played pretty much every horror game and this is one of the limited few that gave me serious anxiety and panic attacks 😂 was terrifying on its hardest mode
the words he speaks is from the game, they just made him voice them over again in a slightly different tone, the environment is in order, every room is in its place etc so I see nothing wrong with it. I've played through this game like 40 times when it came out on PC, and I still remember everything. I liked this trailer a lot!
