@@MKhan-oz7fc That could only be because you are not installing the right theme. I clearly show how to get this right now, it is not in the WordPress directory and when you search the name Kadence in the WordPress directory nothing shows up. So I am not sure what you installed.

If you are going to use this theme, I would take a look at their block plugin, Kadence Blocks. It brings much needed page builder featured to Gutenberg and will have deep integration with the theme. You can try it by going to plugins > add new > search for Kadence Blocks.
@@rondasawyerliveplaytexas252 I would do my best to pick one and stick with it. The more you add these to your site, it could cause future problems because if you were to remove one, you have to remember everywhere you used it and remove what you created there.
I'm so confused. Im new to using WP. I just created a new website using the Hello Elementor theme. But, I just heard of Gutenberg and want to use that for just for creating my blogs. Last year I built my ecommerce site with Astra free, elementor free, and Woo free...I don't use cacheing plugins because the shopping cart updating might get interfered with. Do you think Kadence would make much of a speed difference? It's a fairly basic site with three pages. I'm guessing not much faster, and the speed really depends on youur web hosting the most.

So if we make ALL our modifications to the appearance of our website directly in this theme, that means there would be no need to create a “child theme” for when the theme is updated to a new version, is that correct? All of our settings and choices will be maintained when the theme is updated?

You didn't really talk about how this these two themes compare to each other or how this theme compares to the Astra Pro theme. Does the Astra Pro theme do all of the same things that this theme does? There are just so many questions that haven't been answered.

Adam am I to presume that if using with Elementor Pro that if you create a custom layout using the theme builder that will override anything you've done in Kadance? I can see some huge possibilities with this theme, providing it meshes well with EP!

Hi, I'm doing an e-commerce website but my client doesn't want only a shop they want some pages to introduce the company, to explain their future projects, etc.. But I can't find a good theme for both shop and simple "blog". For example, I'm using the storefront theme but the pages that aren't for the shop aren't beautiful. Could you help me? 😁
This is fantastic and has really helped me. I have been studying WP for a few months and built my first site using Astra. I've tried many themes all with loads of promise (Phlox, Ocean etc) but every time there was a gotcha and ugly child theme workarounds needed to do basic stuff properly or a requirement to spend money I don't have on expensive pro subscriptions. Yes if you consider 3 years ago as not long ago. I haven't made a video on Astra in at least 7 months. Technology changes, it's just the way it is. New models come out. Everything I show in this video Astra doesn't have.
Great info, but what would be really good to know, as other people have already asked in these comments, is how likely the developers of Kadence are to keep support going on from here onwards. It’s a free theme, so what’s in it for them going forwards? I wouldn’t want to be reliant on this theme, and 6 months/ 2years down the line, the support stops, and there are few or even NO updates. Any info regarding these concerns would be great, thanks.
Ok I see now, it’s not completely free. They have Pro versions, which makes me think the free version is limited. How could Kadence (free) have more features than Astra Pro, and then still have even MORE features that would be added to the Pro version?

How did you get the Editor to load like this? I installed Gutenberg and everything I could find on GB, but I have no options on the left, no widget controls, and no left side browse tree. My stuff is over on the right and I absolutely HATE how it's working on my site!

I just paid for a Fiverr gig to do some site design, but I am having to go back and fix, so am not exactly happy. I asked him to use the hello theme, but he used Astra instead. I will be installing this theme instead (as soon as you reveal it in the video). Hope I don't screw it up!
@WPCrafter.com do you recommend this over Neve Pro{ThemeIsle}? I want to love it but it seems to keep conflicting with Elementor. I am looking for something lightweight like Hello Theme but a little more hand holding. Thank you for answering.
Never been a fan of it. They do some things that I am not that fond of. Too much marketing inside your website when you use their stuff.

Adam am I to presume that if using with Elementor Pro that if you create a custom layout using the theme builder that will override anything you've done in Kadance? I can see some huge possibilities with this theme, providing it meshes well with EP!

Hi, I'm doing an e-commerce website but my client doesn't want only a shop they want some pages to introduce the company, to explain their future projects, etc.. But I can't find a good theme for both shop and simple "blog". For example, I'm using the storefront theme but the pages that aren't for the shop aren't beautiful. Could you help me? 😁

This is fantastic and has really helped me. I have been studying WP for a few months and built my first site using Astra. I've tried many themes all with loads of promise (Phlox, Ocean etc) but every time there was a gotcha and ugly child theme workarounds needed to do basic stuff properly or a requirement to spend money I don't have on expensive pro subscriptions.
I love many of your other videos too. What video software do you use - I really like the way you do the PIP?

Hi Adam, great tutorial as ever! Not long ago you were shouting from the rooftops how great Astra was, now it's a "good theme" :) So just out if curiosity, what are the advantages of Kadence compared to Astra?
Yes if you consider 3 years ago as not long ago. I haven't made a video on Astra in at least 7 months. Technology changes, it's just the way it is. New models come out. Everything I show in this video Astra doesn't have.

Great info, but what would be really good to know, as other people have already asked in these comments, is how likely the developers of Kadence are to keep support going on from here onwards. It’s a free theme, so what’s in it for them going forwards? I wouldn’t want to be reliant on this theme, and 6 months/ 2years down the line, the support stops, and there are few or even NO updates. Any info regarding these concerns would be great, thanks.
Ok I see now, it’s not completely free. They have Pro versions, which makes me think the free version is limited. How could Kadence (free) have more features than Astra Pro, and then still have even MORE features that would be added to the Pro version?
Kadence WP has been developing WordPress products for 8 years. That is much longer than most companies selling WordPress products today. They are also core contributors to WordPress and highly respected in the developer community. They are not going anywhere.

Kadence Theme is completely free. Sure they have a Pro version that adds developer features, but the free version is all most people we’ll ever need.

Its slower, it requires Elementor Pro, there is a whole other level of WP expertise and knowledge required to use the Hello theme.

How did you get the Editor to load like this? I installed Gutenberg and everything I could find on GB, but I have no options on the left, no widget controls, and no left side browse tree. My stuff is over on the right and I absolutely HATE how it's working on my site!
