Many times the developers are so emersed in their work that lots of things become obvious to them. The real-world problem for many of us is that we need to grasp the practical application and understanding because it is not obvious to us. Note To Developers And Explainers: Please do not always assume the obvious. Please educate us. This video is a great example of not assuming the obvious.

Ran across your other video and then this one and switching to just building my own with Elementor Pro. Your videos are very well done, go slow enough and give beginners the information they need and you have a nice voice. thanks for doing what you do.

Good explanation! For padding and margin issues, Elementor actually adds 20px space between widgets by default. So if you want to have a blank canvas for Elementor, no padding and margin between sections, columns and widgets. Go to hamburger button > site settings > layout and set the widget space to zero/0.

great content, thank you ! Here is a solution for the 3 columns background problem : it is true that you can’t put an inner section inside another inner section BUT you can copy/paste a column that already contains an inner section ! Knowing that, from a different clean draft section, copy a column that contain a 1 column inner section then paste it 3 times in the main inner section you want to design (deleting the previous columns you don’t need anymore). Now you have a section with a 3 columns inner section, each column having its own 1 column inner section. You can now add a background color to those last inner sections and you’ll have then perfect gap control that replace faking padding and margin.

This is exactly the kind of video everyone needs on Elementor. Practical advice on the small but critical details so your layout can be made as intended. And way cool on the negative margins/padding to make some really cool effects. However, I wonder if you've ever had a time where that didn't look as intended (or flat out broke) on different screen sizes or browsers?
I'm literally just starting out on Elementor, so glad I found this. Great job!

Ok. I wish I'd watched this before attempting to edit my new site. This is brilliantly explained. So clear. Thank you. :)

Thank you so much! As cameraman and editor, website authoring is not my favourite - but with your tutorials the fun of designing comes back ;-)
I can imagine how many hours this video took you to be organized and finished...

You just saved my life. Thank you so much. Wish all my teachers were like you. Practical, show variations for each function, and give us a heads up about all the feature modifications we may need to make.

You will be the best teacher no matter what you teach, pretty sure about that.

Thank you. Although I've used other page builders, Elementor is a different ball game. I think it's much better than what I've used in the past (especially since it doesn't depend on short codes), but I was confused about how the structuring worked. Your video really clarified this for me, and I know it saved me hours of fiddling and failing as I tried to get used to it. I appreciate you sharing what you've learned and saving many of us from hours of frustration.
Edit: Fixed spelling and grammer issues

Great Video! You would not believe how I have messed up my home page on my website. I have absolutely NO knowledge of how to make my own website and can't afford to pay someone else to do it for me. Somehow, I made like this long column that goes over everything on the page when you scroll from top to bottom. So, I kinda am on my won with this project. You have helped me understand the crazy mistakes I have been making. So, I'm going to try it again. Thanks so much!
