As someone who did HVAC work many years ago, I definitely wouldn’t want to even think about that career now and especially in the future. It appears that “government” has gotten TOO involved in this industry. I liked R-22 back then. It was simple and performed quite well. In fact my parents had central air installed way back in 1955❗️I remember servicing that unit once I became an adult. I wish only the best for the current and future generations of HVAC technicians. I’m glad my only involvement now is watching these excellent RUclips videos.
So many know it alls in our industry when we should all be humbled and can admit that we are ALWAYS learning. I've run other HVAC companies and currently own mine and still to this day tell everyone I don't know everything and I learn every day. Would love to connect more with you.
We all started at 0, no one knows it all straight out the gate. Knowledge comes with experience in this trade. I always liked training new technicians and showing them the ropes
Open torches used to seal up propane systems after servicing them. Can't really leave the ports in place with such a small charge. A2L's are nowhere near as flammable as propane.
There should be nothing in your line set after a replacement except some reminants of nitro n has. That is not flammable in any way. A vac pump will be ok if you still use the old style ones. But i do believe an A2-L recovery machine purchase makes sense
Your amazing man screw the haters or should I say the know it alls. Keep on keeping on buddy, we will never know everything all we can do is learn daily and grow. Anyone that say I know all there is to hvac is a moron and fire him immediately. Love your videos very entertaining and educational. The know it alls should be taking notes to add to all that they know lol.
What do you want to bet some of the people involved with making tools and requiring these new refrigerants are somehow connected and there are so many kickbacks involved to make your head spin and just want to push out the diy of people who are tired of ridiculous charges!!!!!
When 410 came out in the 90s they told us we needed seperate gauges and had to run new piping. It was all bs. I have 410 systems that are over 20 years old now that I never even flushed the old mineral oil from the original r22 unit. It’s all BS
If you are working in a heating and air company. You are likely to be working with Natural Gas and Propane. People need to grow up. A furnace is a lot more likely to leak than a sealed AC system.
yes, but the gas pressures for gas heat are a lot lower than what they are running in the A/C cycle if it is so safe why explosion proof contactors, motors, etc.
It's good that you're one of the few that can catch up to the pace of the industry. The information is almost as fast as social media now.

Hey Josh, your title has the wrong refrigerant name. R545B instead of R454B. I’m sure you’ve seen it though. Great informative video as always.
Good catch! Thanks!
Just wish I could get someone like you around my area where I could ask them my questions and get the right answers without the fluff.
Where are you located?
@@NewHVACGuide Nebraska... The middle of the country.
Oh no! I was hoping I knew someone in your area but I need make some more friends!
@@NewHVACGuide you will! You are continuing to grow! Only a matter of time and you will know someone in every state. ☺️
why do i need a sparkless vaccum pump , but its ok to use open torch to solder the unit ???
Good question

Just tested in michigan. Waiting for my new cirt. Cant wait... 😉 had to test here. 50 questions.
Some of these "certifications" aren't accredited. No big deal probably but just a word to the wise
@@NewHVACGuide he said it was just a seperate cirt and they send an updated epa as well
@johnsonjay60 no updated epa is required
Am I gonna have to buy a A2L compliant Cresent Wrench....
I’m sure they’d love to sell you one 😒

The one who knows-it-all is the FOOL in the group‼️Thanks for your wise words👍

I've said things similar to this and was told they're aren't happy about it

Just going to make prices higher for the consumer.
Ill be glad when its stamped out in stone. Small guys revamping all the tools is a decent blow to the pocket

Brazing the lines?
Literally nobody wants this
Left handed threads on gages
