Could you do a video about modest styles and the best way to style shoes to them and to look feminine classy and elegant
While being modest in summer
Hello Ms Elegant Anna! Can you please show us your best elegant BoHo style? I love festivals and wonder if there is a way to level up this style?
and that dress looks amazing on you
MAke another video part 2 of this please!!
One thing i love about anna is that she always gets straight to the point! no 4 minute intros etc. I know if she posts a ten minute video ill be getting ten minutes of pure advice ! keep it up anna!
Omg! Yessss!!
She respects our time. And I love her for that!
I thought I had missed the intro, I restarted the video to see what I missed - she really started right with point 1!
Respecting people's and your potential clients time is, indeed, very elegant.
And ads only at the end of the video, which doesn't bother me, meanwhile I can scroll through comments. Wish more people did this. It's becoming a trend to have 5 ads in a 10 min video. Halfway in I usually lose interest in the content.
I knew a very attractive woman who recently passed away at 107 years old. I was complimenting her outfit one time and she told me she bought it in the 1960's. She said that if you buy quality, it never goes out of style. She was always perfectly accessorized. I never noticed a designer logo on anything she wore. In other words, she lived what Anna is preaching. Anna, thanks for the guidance you provide. All ladies deserve to be elegant!
totally agree 👍
🥰👏👏👏❤️
Wonderful ❤
Personally I hate to see logos on whatever clothes, shoes ,bags...to me it is not classy. Quality material and make should be recognisable.
Also, stuff back then was made to last.
My policy is to never skimp on the quality of my food, shoes or haircare.
Thanks Anna!
And a winter coat!!
100%
Agreed! And the quality of bed I sleep on.
Shoes are a big one! I've done that mistake over and over and I don't even end up wearing them because they become painful after 30 minutes. Quality over quantity it is.
And your lingerie!
I smelled a Miss Dior perfume for the first time years ago and fell in love with the scent. Fast foward, I bought my first Miss Dior perfume out of pocket two weeks ago. I couldn't be prouder of myself for waiting the appropriate time
I like that you’ve evolved your brand of elegance beyond affluence to more of an organic class and good taste. Thanks for your content.
Very well said ✨
Perfectly described 👍
Well put.
Quality vs status
This is by far the best video you've done so far! I feel like it is the real difference on BEING elegant on the journey to BECOMING elegant. One lesson I'm trying to instill in my children is, "You can save and invest your money every single day, but you can only spend it once. Then it's gone." Having your finances under control and only spending money that you can afford to lose gives you that confidence that most people are trying to fake!
This video and comment are making me realize that ig I won't be buying that perfume I've been obsessing about ;( oh well, another time
Your comment is so spot on wow save every day spend only once…so true
I was complimented in church regarding my outfit. My dress was from last season, my wrap from a decade ago and my boots were new. You can do it on a budget with quality fabrics and an IRON!
This is perfect. I started prioritizing health, quality food and skin products. Then from there, I started changing the basics, like pants, quality fabrics, makeup, a pair of earrings for every day, perfume, shoes. Still in the process. Thank you Anna :)
These are points that my Italian father taught me, and they have ensured a good, elegant life for my brother and myself and our families. Excellent video Anna, I hope viewers put all your advice into action!
The Italians know this well!
Anna is absolutely right. Don't go in debts just to buy something. I am an accounting student myself & all mentors have always said that be conservative with money. Don't spend the money you don't have.
Accountant here 🙋🏻♀️ as a fresh graduate people are often weirded out by how much I manage to save up 😶 I'm like "I just allocate my paycheck correctly 🤷🏻♀️"
@@albacorona2472 Congratulations for your graduation. 🎉
I can totally relate 😅
Pretty common sense, the problem is some can’t resist
Agreed. I only buy on credit what I can pay off every billing statement. I only let it ride to build better credit. Live below one's means, in my opinion, but also splurge occasionally in things that will make you money in the long run. 🌺
@@jessie1090 I agree 👍
Hi Anna! I’m a mother to 3, i struggle to find the motivation or purpose to look elegant. I go to the grocery store, lounge at home, making meals and going to the park..etc.. could you make a video for us mamas who want to feel good and Look elegant while accommodating for the SAHM life style?…. It’s a big ask but I value your opinion and expertise!
Anna, I simply adore you and these tips. I love that you addressed not getting into financial debt / spending over one's means, avoid fast fashion, and focusing on the right priorities. It is super important to be financially stable first! Keeping your style guidelines in mind, it is important to purchase items that work within one's personal budget.
P.S. I went shopping recently and channeled my inner Anna Bey (silk tunics, a nice midi length dress (not mini), and a good pair of pants) . My coworkers complimented my look and I feel so sophisticated thus making me more productive at work since it increased my self confidence. You're my favorite. I am so happy I stumbled upon your channel a year ago
Smart video by Anna. Thanks for talking about fiscal discipline and moderation. Materialism and Instagram are DESTROYING OUR SOULS. Discipline and quality are the key words for me. I once bought a Italian Trussardi hand bag from Venice for 400 US Dollars which is better looking than 7000 US Dollar Chanel hand bag. Go for good quality leather hand bags. Save money for old age, health care costs, do budgeting. Try to buy a home so that you save the rent. The rent saved could go towards mortgage. Discipline in every aspect of life would pay dividends in later life. Seemi from Virginia, US
Nice video! as a stylist I can confirm that elite ladies buy high and low brands. Its their combination ability that makes every garment looks expensive on them, not the label!
That dress looks so good on you. Also I love how the content of your channel evolved and how you listen to your audience. That's what keeps me here over the years. Love Anna!
I love this format - getting straight to the point with the first sentence without unnecessary intro
Woow. , It’s such a great video. Before watching this I thought Anna would mention brands and items that she doesn’t find elegant. But this is deep. She elaborate core of being high standard living.
Thank you Anna reminding people Elegant is not about buying materialistic items.
The dutchess of Cambridge often wears high street clothes rather than designer. In her engagement photos she wore a blouse from zara 2 seasons old. her blue engagement dress was not designer either. Catherine mixes up her fashion and gets it right all the time
Meghan Markle also wears some designer who aren't particularly expensive too.
These are super interesting points.
I used to spend a lot of money on online purchases around exam times. Almost like a reward for myself for studying well. Or, if i didnt do well, a pick me up gift. All the excuses i gave myself! I bought makeup, skin care products, clothes, bags. Etc
Half the things with an expiration date i had to toss out because i never actually got around to using before it reached expiration date.
My parents were too nice to tell me I had a problem.
when my boyfriend invited me on a morning jog with them the day i had an afternoon final, i was exhausted (out of shape!) But the shower felt afterwards was rewarding, i had so much better focus, and i aced my final.
Ive kept a jogging routine since (switching it up for swimming in the summer) and now, i dont even need my adhd medication, i feel great, and it honestly does wonders for my mental health overall. And i said goodbye to my impulsive shopping habits. I do reward myself here and there but definitely only for serious achievements!
You are so down to earth and easy to relate to. Thank you for opening my eyes to the importance of quality clothing. I find myself getting dressed and I’ll say “ would Anna approve of this” . Needless to say I’m donating more of my clothes lately and shopping quality only!
So thank you for all of your helpful advise!
So much sage advice from Anna that focuses on managing one's the mindset ad priorities behind spending vs merely telling you what and what not to buy. This is true elegance.
Elegant ladies also have a range of skills/talents; to be a sewist is one of them. Ladies, if you take up sewing you can literally make a chanel suit at literally 5% of the cost and it actually is tailored to your body! Look at Ana's denim dress, it looks like it was tailored to her body...it looks really elegant despite how casual of a dress it is. That's due to A) fabric quality and B) great fit, that's all it takes to look fancy. You don't have to spend commercial $$ for an outfit that you can literally make yourself with a high quality fabric.
I've been thinking of purchasing a sewing machine on Ebay and teaching myself to sew. Do you know of any good online courses for beginners or other RUclips channels? Also do you know of any good ones laces online for purchasing fabrics? Thanks.
@@lisar915r9 I recommend professor pincushion on here, thats how i learned how to sew 3 years ago. i only watched her videos and never went to a class or read a book, sewing is super easy! Now i make all my suits from tweed fabric i get from moods and i never looked back!
@@sew_gal7340 Thank you. You say you get your fabric from moods? How do you mean?
One of the best videos ever made! It is loaded. Prioritizing the balance with emotions, health, etc, is key before mindlessly swipping the plastic card. Taking care of ourselves inside out is priceless.💎❤
It is true that small gratification isn’t as good as long term gratification but after having a bad week or day and treat yourself once in a lifetime is therapeutic
Very good si Anna, nag-evolved na sya! She’s grown and grown wiser pa.
She started talking na about aligning priorities, spending below means, asking the 3 q’s before purchasing, other investments, education, experiences and memories, health, mixing and matching, doesn’t always have to be designer stuff, becoming a minimalist.
She’s also admitted to some of the mistakes she’s commited in the past - overbuying, therefore realising she’s got more of similar items she doesn’t need.
She is making more sense now and mas aligned na ang core values namen. Well done, Anna! Proud of you. 💕
Oh my, I had stopped watching your videos for over a year, and now that I've been recommended your videos again, I see your growth, you've become wiser, and I love how you promote a sustainable affordable, but elegant wardrobe. I'll be watching more of your new videos.
I really loved this video. It sounded like an older sister teaching me about life and really caring.
Since you mentioned help I think many ladies would enjoy a video about mental health and how to transform it for the better along with the rest of our persona.
My parents always taught me, if you save for those special things you will appreciate it more xx
I agree especially food! Is important to eat healthy, and don’t compromise or bargain with your health!
I am sooooooo glad you touched this topic. Having a channel like yours can easily persuade or invite women to start spending money when before they were not so much into. We can easily get attracted to materialistic things when in reality it is not and should not be the first priority in our lives. Thank you! Maybe you should have this topic once in a while. It’s is very important!
I adore luxury items but I think it is so great that you are asking women to focus on quality, education, health, sustainability, investing and investing on themselves instead of luxury items. It is a great role model for younger women who watch your channel Thank you for spreading wise words!
Great video Anna. I have been applying many of these tips in my life for a long time. I haven't bought myself any new clothes and shoes for over a year. I still have clothes that are 10-20 years old that I still love I do wear. Also, I actually donated more than half my clothes that were old, didn't fit me and didn't like anymore. I've never been in debt because I don't allow myself to overspend and I keep my credit cards at home when I go out. I always ask myself "Do I really need this?". I love cooking and baking, so my money goes to healthy homemade food and homemade gourmet desserts. Working out, supplements are important. What I do need to do is buy high quality elegant clothes that I will wear for years to come.
Hi Anna. Omg did I win a price? I'm very excited 😍❤
Dear Anna, thank you for the video, I really appreciate it. It was very interesting and nice to know all these mistakes in the process of buying things. I am going though a "shopping-detox", I challenged myself to be at least 3 or 4 months without buying clothes and other stuff for myself, specially because I have a lot of everything, so I don't need to use my free time buying more stuff (and then feel guilty for it), I rather go to the gym and exercise, return home and make a healthy meal.
Thank you Anna for promoting sustainable fashion. Over consumption is really vulgar and doing harm to our environment, which ultimately backfires us(summer is getting hotter and hotter, climate change, pollution)
Wearing clothes that you will actually wear for a long time is more sustainable than constantly buying new trendy ones that you will forget about soon, but we also need to talk about the devastating effects fast fashion has on the environment. Please, purchase second hand and vintage whenever possible🙏🏼
Fast fashion brands clearly don’t care about our planet.
Love this! I shop almost exclusively at consignment shops. They carry quality brands I otherwise would not budget for & vintage clothes that were made WAY better!
Yep slow fashion is a conscious choice for the environment and for our bank accounts as well ❤️
I used to shop or eat when I felt sad. Now, when I feel sad I go to the gym and do cardio or binge Anna Bey vids😌love you Anna. Thank you for the wisdom and the chuckles 🥰
Love you video I am draining right now emotionaly on compulsive buying online, I buy almost everyday . your video may help me to slow down and realizing we dont need those luxyry and hype stuff on social media
Thank you Anna for mentioning good food for our body 🥰
I dont have that much in life but im always picky with what i put in my body. Only good quality meals for me. I cam always buy luxury stuff when i can afford it. but for my body, this is the only body i have, if im not ruining it forr the sake of saving money. I eat good and healthy and it makes me feel good
I think this was one of the best prices of advice I've heard in awhile.
Love your contents, Anna. Straight to the point and so much value. We get so much from these videos and surely there's more in your courses which I'll save up for. So glad I discovered your channel. Thank you for making these quality and helpful contents!
Absolutely done this a few years ago, stop buying unnecessary dresses and chose, only I really need and look classy. ❤ I love this episode xxx
Spot on. Intentionally teach your children these advice points as well!
Really nice tips Anna. Congratulations for sharing such a strong message. Elegance has nothing to do with money but with mindset. Remember always that ladies. No money can buy it. Kisses and god bless you all.
This is my favorite video of yours so far, Anna. Very centered and deep. I was a fan before, but now I trust you. Wonderful priorities. Yes.
There are so many aspects in life that we all have to learn; no amount of money can buy taste and style.
Thank you for making valuable videos Anna🌺
Thank you, Anna. This is such an important message to get into mainstream thinking. Overconsumption is greedy. Greedy thinking, greedy behaviour is far from elegant.
Dear Anna, thank you so much. You feel like a mother elegantly educating her daughters ♥️ Can you please make a specific video on how elegant lady manages her money/assets?
I completely agree with Anna here!! Well said. You need to learn how to look good spending less! It can be done. Believe me I've rocked a dress that I spent very little on (can't admit where I bought it). But the amount of comments I've received on this said dress is incredible. People ask me if it cost me a fortune. I just smile!! This video is top😍😍. This in my opinion is one of your best. Thx
Soo true, Anna - thank you for recording this video. I’ve been sharing same ideas with my friends, colleagues or clients for a long time. You need to analyze and become concious, what motivates you to spend or to have more, than you can afford. It’s All about Yourself, Your State and Your self-perception. ❤️🙏🏻
I loved this video. I am currently cleaning out my closet. I try things on and if they don’t fit right they are “OUT”! I will replace with better clothes when I have the money.
Today's Video was actually really good and mature. It spreads Awareness of what is going on around us, such us some People not being able to afford quality Food and Health Care.
Yes! I totally agree with you about health. I regret taking mine for granted. I didn't realize how truly valuable it was until I developed MS. Health is the MOST valuable thing you can have.
Finally someone who talks sense!!!
This is such a great vlog. Bless you.
May I just add... I might represent the group of your viewers who are disabled and chronically ill.
We still desire to be dressed modestly and having classic elegance .
Thankyou so much for your advice.
I started to be getting comments on the way I dress now since I follow you Anna 😊😊😊
I see what you did there. Very great angle for people to listen to your message. Bravo!
Anna, always giving the best advice available on the internet!
Also, some very cheap foods are incredibly healthy. apples, bananas, oats, beans, veggie boxes. They don't have a premium price.
Did not expect such video from Anna. It is so far the best video she has made.
Anna, all of your videos are amazing by every stretch of the imagination, but I think the topic of this one is by far the greatest among them all. Love you❤❤
I love that dress you’re wearing Anna, where is it from?
Love, love, love the dress! Do you give info Anna?❤️❤️
You are a fantastic woman Anna! you don't judge people for how they are, you help them or should I say us to be and become the best versions of ourself. You are truly a blessing. Thank you so much
agree with u dear 🌹... elegance does not mean rich or poor ... mostly means elegant taste and conscience budget managing
Thank you for addressing fast fashion and overconsumption 🙏🙏🙏
Thank you, Anna, you are helping me to become who I really want to be. 🙂
You’re the best! Thank you for not reinforcing consumerism and waste.
I agree with all 10 points. But, especially agree in investing in body and health. It is primordial to buy quality food. After all health is wealth! ❤
Really great video! I had just left my favorite online shopping site without placing an order before I came over to youtube to watch your new video, Anna, because I had decided that I don't need these items :) Needless to say I was really happy to hear what you had to say! Great motivation! Now I will go for a powerwalk instead to make me feel good :)
I love how honest this is.
I' ve always invested on my health like in getting my teeth cleaned twice a year . I would never spend my money on
luxury bags that can go out of style , there was a point in my life when l was an emotional buyer (feeling lonely and sad for meeting the wrong people that is cheap and controlling men). Thank God l am at an another place in my life now thanks to your videos Ana in which you teach us to never settle for less !!!
That's a great video, Anna! I very much appreciate that you talk about the environment and to avoid buying items for one-time-wear. I too used to be an emotional shopper and buy cheap stuff that I didn't really need. I also agree with the 'watch what you put in your body'. I have started to buy better quality foods which are often more expensive and my partner asks me how can I spend so much money on this or that and I always tell him that my health is priceless. I'd rather spend more on food now than spend money on medical treatment later. Health is always first so take good care of yourselves 💕
This is golden advice. when we have quality clothing we get treated better because of societal judgment. Also We as women are good at shopping for deals and are generally taught how to get a good deal.. we should be spending it on investing in and growing our money instead of spending money on something that have no return on interest. If you don't know were to start talk to a financial planner once you have saved up some money
I was really in need of this video m. I have to do some decisions and this came right on time. Always helpful Anna! Thank you!
Well said. I think the worst consumptionism and consumerism. People are just bombarded by new products everywhere and I can understand it makes it very hard to say no to new shoes, new bag, etc. I went through that like probably everyone. And I agree classic items are the best, timeless, but also having a limit is important. You don’t need 20 handbags to feel worth it or beautiful even.
It was great to meet you in person Sunday! Thanks for such great content❤
I am doing a closet purge, time to do away with old things and evolve a quality wardrobe
I wish this video had a LOVE button! It resonated with me on so many levels. Spend your money on good health, nutrition, education, experiences, things that truly matter. Wonderful advice.
I was fortunate to be raised with some of these traits already& some I believe I may have picked up from you over time. Also another creator on RUclips who is excellent at being a good help at appreciating the things you have is Hannah Louis Poston! I’ve found her to have a lot of helpful ques on finding joy in what I already have than going to the store. I’ve never gone into debt for clothing& things of that nature, but I would consider my shopping (when left unchecked) as irrational. I can’t wait for your next video.
I understand what you mean about being smart about spending and investing. ..
It's such a pleasure to watch your videos
For those who are starting on a budget or already in your journey you can make your own dress and design buy quality fabric and take it to the tailor to make yoh whatever you want .
Anna shares a great tip here!
What I have learned personally is to think (always!) of the resale value.
For example, women tend to believe that diamonds are a good investment and they never actually knew or was told how to purchase them.
So I’ve learned that the resale value of most materials is almost 0, and started to think the other way around. If I’m going to spend, I won’t go for a designer bag which has literally no value.
I will buy something like jewellery, which is nice and practical, and will have a resale value in the future (or pass it to my children).
This is one of the most valuable and pragmatic video content that you shared with us Anna! Kudos!
I think this is one of your best videos yet!😊Thank you for being such an inspiration 😘
You are absolutely right Anna....
Awesome video. Thanks, totally agree.
Loved this video!! It had EXELLENT EXELLENT TIPS. ANNA YOU ARE SOOOO SMART AND TRULY INSPIRING.
I love how she goes right into the video
This offered wise counsel, and it is appreciated.
I love that you address over consumption in this video, it's such a big problem for our beautiful earth. An elegant lady is definitely a minimalist.
I absolutely adore your denim or chambrey dress. Is it possible to ask where it is possible to purchase this? Love you - the things you address are essential and stated so rarely.
This is the most honest advice you present. Big thank to you Anna .
I really like your eye makeup in this video. Can you make a little tutorial on that?
This is by far the most powerful video that Anna released.
Please make more such topics where we understand elegance as a attitude and a sub culture rather than just spending money.
"My dear elegant ladies" is back but still kept straight to the point 👍 Perfectiob
Im here for my elegance class, bright and early.
LOVE how you went right into it! To the point immediately! Some influencers have all this preamble that’s so exhausting. Thanks 🙏 😊
Anna, your tips about elegant and simple style are Golden!! Good taste doesn’t apeais comes with the money
Just superb.... We need more such videos!!
Thank you!!
Anna, you look lovely always but today the blue is perfect on you, plus, I’m really liking your slightly darker hair. It brings out your eyes and makes your skin tone fabulous. If it were even possible, you look “richer”! 🤗
