Even if your old or sick you can still be put to jail unless your 99
Rafa RUclips They would still lock them up, to be able to say that they got you and to save face. The wouldn't care how sick you are.
frank morris and anglin are legend.
Prison is meant to rehabilitate people, that’s what the government forgets about. If they made it 50+ years without getting into trouble, let them be. They deserve it, the prison system lost, get over it. USA needs to learn how to admit defeat.
DB Cooper is a legend also

why is this on my recommended 1 year later
I am from Florida where they were from Ruskin is where we raised. There Mom and John lived across the street from us , there brothers and sisters lived there to. There nices and nephews grew up with me we were friends and went to school together.
I know where they are
Officials continue to say that none of the three escapees ever made it! So, why didn't they agree to the author of the letter terms. Fear of embarrassment??? Certainly.
MAYBE because they have been receiving millions of those types of letters since the 1960s.
thanks for telling us Alcatraz has been abandon for a long time now..
Tryhard Togood4u no it hasn't. It's a museum open 364 days a year
I remember when I first heard about this story when I was in junior high. I always wondered if they really did escape back then but after hearing this news story perhaps they did it's just another one of those mysteries in US history.
The handwriting unfortunately appears too different. Look at the capital W, for example. Another very characteristic flourish is the original cross on lower-case "t", very absent on the 2013 letter.
I'll hold out hope somebody (younger) wrote it for him.
Lol if he goes back to prison at 86 he will escape again and when Clarence will turn into a blue bird and mess the warden up lmao
"Blue Bird" is this a blood of the dead reference?
But the thing is they never found the body
Must be a slow news day.
Honestly I think they would have been more law abiding citizens, they surly stole a car that night or something, but after they probably got a job and stayed out of trouble. Also they were kinda old since like 1980s so I don’t see them doing much robberies or other harm
Their lives are not important as the lives of innocent people/ victims.
They all died. There's no way they could have survived that cold water. They either drowned, or died of hypothermia. I don't think the letter is legit.
I escaped from my mamas tummy 57 years ago 😁
So I guess the legend is over...
Lol, yeah right 'he only goes back to prison for 1 year' / He escaped in 1960's they have to get all that time back lol
No they shouldn't get any time in prison.
The letter was sent in 2013 and we are just hearing about it now?
sshortguy1 I think there alive
xLittleBoy- 2 died one is alive and almost dead so he wants to go to jail for one year to get free medical attention lol
Unknown Savage the letter was not from him it was fake
It’s so easy to disappear and never be found these days
Unknown Savage Hodgetwins picture LoL
They all made it! They just don't want to believe because Alcatraz was 'escape-proof', these guys were smart enough to make it, specially Frank Morris!
I met morris personally and i went shopping with his wife, but i forget wearing my pijamas that day
Frank Morris wasn’t the smart one , there was 4 guy and that guy was the mind of the escape
@@lynxestxmp1932 Frank Morris had an IQ of 133. He was the smart one.
Raj Kumar i had a stroke reading that
They did make it. The FBI will never admit it because that's a punch to their ego.
He's 3 billion years old. Of course his handwriting wouldn't be as neat & precise as it was before
He's like 90 wtf

I believe they escaped. Props to them :)

yea.... they did escape. they knew that seinc the day they escaped.....
Yea they did escape cause the raft made of rain coats and life jackets they only had to traval a couple miles to angle island
They won't make the deal because they know they survived. They don't want to look bad so they stick to saying they died
This.
This is 100% true. If the FBI made the deal and he came out then that would ruin the FBI's reputation.
Is anyone alive from then who might give a damn.

whats more awesome ,,, to think they might have gone back as visitors when it reopened as a tourist site MUAHAHAHAHHA
that would have been amazing and ironic HAHA
Years later I bet Frank would have walked to his cell that the tourists are at and be smiling while thinking "These idiots have no idea."
@@sarahkilo3606 lol
I doubt that. It's funny to think about though. But I'm sure they stayed the heck out of SF. Went you're on the run you don't go back into the sharks mouth.
The Government would never say “Damn they made it”. Until they show me proof they didn’t, I believe they did make it.
Gary Rush I'm sure they did because after they escaped that night a vehicle was reported stolen
My thoughts exactly!
The Shield where u saw that
Gary Rush I low key cheer they made it, it makes a cool story
Highly improbable. They were in and our of jail their whole lives, if they made it out, they wouldn't be able to get a job let alone become law abiding citizens. They'd have slipped within a year and been caught.
The police simply don’t want to admit they escaped and made the police/ correction look like idiots
Those guys are Legends
Theyre still out there
Theres no way the Government cant get them. I think theyve been respectfully allowed to be free after their legendary escape
Mitch Silva nah they're all dead like he had cancer for 4 years definitely dead and the other 2 died from old age/natural causes.
@@oscarmata1853 yeah I don't think he could have gone to check and to get healed
Mitch Silva LEGENDS!
We don't know if they're all dead we only know 2 of them is dead,3 Including the guy that died at Alcatraz, that guy that had cancer he could be dead right now or he could be alive we really don't know but it's likely he's dead

They seriously believe that an old decrepit mans hand writing should match the handwriting of his younger self to be conclusive? That is a delusional belief. Of course they escaped. Even if the raft blew and sank, they could have all swam to the shore and got away clean. They had a 9 hour head start before sunrise to do it all, the lack of technology at the time just made it more difficult to gather evidence.
The bay was cold that night, but any man could have survived for little over for two hours before going into shock. That is just a regular swim, but we're talking about 3 men swimming for their lives. Imagine the anxiety and fear they have to endure when they are so close to freedom, when you get that far into the plan you cannot simply back out; that fear and anxiety turns into desperation. They would have had the will to pull off the swim. But assuming they actually made it on the raft, they would have been smart enough to keep it to avoid exposing where they made landfall.
GeneralZoot not to mention that the Arlington brothers were the best swimmers in their family. They were said to go swimming in ice cold water just for fun
GeneralZoot, exactly and well said!!
Percy anglin Where tf did you get Arlington
Alan Thornton i think it was a typo, Arlington is a character in a video game based off this escape
Did u watch the movie like me escape from alcatraz?
The best prison escapees never get found. They vanish and leave us guessing.
actually it was 4, one was left behind 🙄
3 escapees
The 4th escapee couldn't fit through the hole he made so he talked with them before they left him behind. Several hours later he eventually made the hole big enough to fit through and made his way to the roof but his 3 escapees were long gone so he was left with 2 decisions.
1. Swim with no raft and almost certainly die.
2. Go back to his cell.
Sarah Kilo The plaster toughned upp and he couldnt take off the fake wall
The 4th guy only had a few years left was released like 8 years later
What harm could there possibly be in just accepting the deal, you either find out it’s fake, or find a man who people have been searching for for like 50 years
I remember, as a kid in 1962, seeing a TV program examining this matter. Amazing that it still makes news today.

it must be horrible living on the run
Better than living in jail
They were bank robbers. They had cash stashed away
Juanita Mullen really cold water. Bay Area water is cold. Considering during the night the water could been around 30-35 degrees .
guest man thats not that cold at all to swim 😂
cold enough to see a whale there. i drive on hwy 101 and see whales.
The feds shoulda just swallowed their pride and accepted they got defeated because I really wanted to hear more from Anglin on how they escaped.
They had a makeshift raft
Handwriting is bad testing cause I can change my handwriting whenever I do everyday
I escaped too. But I will make no deal.
Really? Because I don't believe you
Can't tell you more than I already have told you.
susub75 shut up
When you crave attention
so u did know da wae?
2020 and still wondering 🤔🤔🤔
Everybody knows their alive 😂😂 Except the government
They could have changed their lifestyle just due to getting a second chance at life. I think people who leave jail legally don’t change because of the difficulty of society and the stigma placed on ex convicts. They were bank robbers which after being at Alcatraz and surviving the miracle escape is probably one of the easier crimes not to go back into. And there is no social stigma due to new id.
Back when people can actually escape prison 😭😭
People still do. You'd be amazed what meticulous planning can do.
RIP to all 3 of them
What are they going to die put them back in prison for the next 4 years of there life
It must have been pretty cool for Frank when he saw Clint Eastwood playing him in the movie 😉
And that’s how Prison Break got inspired to do the show
Hello People yes! And I love that show! Pretty smart and obvious tbh on what they did to escape. I know it wasn’t easy but it’s quite obviously.

I just wonder what happened too them
I would have make a deal atleast just to hear the story how they made it.
And the dude got cancer too just need some one to take care of him.
So interesting. I believe they made it. I definitely want to know
I've been to Alcatraz...I got to see all the cells...pretty cool!
I hope they did make it out and alive.
If they seriously say they're dead then take him up on the offer.
They didn't 🏊 they maid a raft
Wondered if they had done the Alcatraz tour...
People like this annoy me. He probably about to die and these people consider to take the case for 4 years when he will probably die. And even if they do speak on the news and get nothing whay will even happen to them
There are photos of the anglins from 1975!
Law enforcement don’t want to admit that the escape happened. It would make them look bad.
I hope they made it.
I think its fake... They owned a farm in Brazil (the picture analyst more or less said its them) so I think he would have had the money for treatment. There close friend helped them a lot with the escape money, boat etc... he probably doesn't want to admit it as it would have put him in jail (he's dead now). And plus, who knows if Frank stayed with the brothers or seperated. Their plan was to ghost out, I don't think we'l be seeing them anytime soon. Hopefully they wrote a journal which should be released after their death.
Hope it's TRUE 👍
Why arrest them again they got out fair n square 😭😂 but fr if yall didnt re catch them within this amount of time wats the point
Let them tell their story!
New evidence shows that there was one boat that left the Rock shortly before or after midnight for a employee shift change. and with the history of the brothers shows that they more than likely tie a rope or something to that boat it was pulled the boat to shore...
Interesting...
Tie the raft to a boat full of prison guards? Idk.
Adam Honesty and decency...I don't think I buy that story either, why would they tie a rope to a boat full of prison guards, it sounds kinda crazy.
Shawn Gifford, I read that also. But if it was a prison guard boat, I just don't think they would be so crazy to do such a thing and risk being seen.
True
So they are saying that the Correction Facilities don't really "correct" "rehabilitate" anyone. It is just a name because inmates go right back to a life of crime. Could it not be possible that the escapees decided to obey the law for the purpose of avoiding ending up back in prison? Why not???
BingCherry11 great argument ... you sure have a good point.
Right, they escaped for a reason. I think it was to live a new life, where they ARENT IN PRISON, and go back to a normal healthy life
I meaannnn ik this is old, I’d agree with you that they escaped for a new life but there’s been people who have escaped and went right back to the same lifestyles (el chapo) has escaped many times and he goes right back to crime🤷🏾♂️
@@sauce2different You forgot about the people that escaped and give up crime for the purpose of not getting caught. Not everyone goes back to crime and after being in a max security prison it's entirely possible they didn't want to take a chance of going to prison again
Are the police in the government don't want us to think that but that's what they get for assuming that's my point had they done something majorly wrong or corrupt like they had they would have been caught and put back in prison they eventually found out who they were and that they had escaped they made it and they lived way outside of town and did what they had to do to get by to avoid being the government and the police just don't want us to believe that if they didn't believe they were alive a few years ago I watched a deal on America's Most Wanted I believe the FBI they still have these men as wanted and spending money looking for them when they knew they were in their 70s so they thought they had died and didn't make it why did they still have them on the FBI list and looking for them
I wrote about this for a current event for my history class
In my own personal opinion the letter is fake. I say this because they would of done there research to see what the prisons are like now "Holiday camps" nothing like at Alcatraz at 70/80 odd years old it would be like living in a hotel so they wouldn't have to worry about that. And it's been so long and it's such a famous story that the justice system would probably pardom them anyway due to there age and health. so they've nothing to lose. If anything they would be hero, s and who wouldn't want that you tell me???
Even though, I don't think the letter is really from John Anglin, I do believe they made it and I hope they did, the escape was brilliant, all led by Morris. If any of them are still alive, what an amazing deathbed confession and where they could prove it's them by a dna testing.
They made it.I know.uncle frank is my blood relative.
Exactly what "source" did that letter come from?
they got away ahh haaa . I am sure they got away and you could not find them aahhh has
Yea they escaped and they are probably dead know but only one of them had cancer so the others probably didnt die
Alcatraz more like arkham asylum
3:03 something appears in the water then dissapears next to right shoulder of the reporter .
I hope they it safe and enjoying their freedom. 🙏🏿
The youngest brother was a barber so that's how they put the hair on the Dummy's
My take on the escape was they floated out to a boat picked up to a safe house.the money they had arranged for there new life arrived ,those who were looking after them shot the three escapees took the money buried them and end of them. I think it's impossible to stay away from the police even if a traffic stop by them your rumbled . definitely that's my version any comments
Chances are, they will never know. I think that they made it. I don't think that they are alive now however. Hard telling about that letter. Your handwriting will be different when you get older.
It is possible they made it. It is also possible they lived their lives law abiding citizens. Arrogant for them to say otherwise.
Indeed
Nooo I want to see him after all of this
lol unlike electronics letters can't be trarced

This is nothing like the source material smh
Good morning! I believe that the men made it. Kept a low profile for decades and managed to live long, full lives having died or in the process of dying old men. Great story KPIX!
P. S.
If those men wanted to have been found they would've availed themselves to discovery by law enforcement long ago. The Anglin Brothers and Frank Morris had extremely high I. Q.'s and were perfectly capable of living quiet, unassuming, nay dull lives as someone else.
The Anglin Brothers father and grandfather were men of the outdoors (U. S. Military Veterans).
Teaching the boys to hunt, fish and live off the land.
Provide for themselves and be self-reliant and self-sufficent.
They knew how to farm. Work with their hands. Etc. So they very easily could have been farmers or carpenters or even work in construction/heavy equipment operations.
Frank Morris could've been a bookkeeper or a librarian for goodness sakes!
Extremely and I do mean extremely high I. Q. Personable and down to earth. He very easily made friends wherever he went.
All the men needed was false or even stolen identities to live on. (Reportedly they had outside help on the night that they escaped from Alcatraz.) Their whits. Skill-sets. And individual and collective talents to survive.
A commitment as well as resolve ,firmly, to stay out of trouble and keep their mouthes shut for as long as humanly possible. And you've got yourselves the makings of a great escape plan and processes!
They made it KPIX. They made it. Trust and believe that they did.
They are old. Dead or dying somewhere in this world and probably laughing-most-hardily in that process.

CLINT EASTWOOD
He used himself in third person in the first letter **FAKE**
Skripix Can´t Aim...Although I believe the trio made it, I also believe the letter is a FAKE! Good point with realizing both letters were written in different persons. What I noticed was the manner of the writing in both letters, with certain alphabet letters and apostrophes.
Plus, why would Anglin ask for help from the FBI and not his long list of family members, one would help, like one of the 8 siblings or few nephews. The second letter also claims they lived throughout USA, last being a few miles away from Alcatraz, like they would live so close to where they´re wanted, lol! The letter was most likely a hoax, this individual knew all the stir-up and intrigue his letter would cause.
