It's been over a week since I uploaded this video and I'm astounded with how many people have watched it and even more so, you guys commenting and giving your opinions on things. i want to make more Pokemon content but in which capacity, I will leave up to you. Whether it's reviews, speculation/theory videos or otherwise, I'd be happy to hear what you would like to see. So please do let me know so I can get started on more content!
@@MartysLive You could also try playthrough challenges. Like only using ghost type pokemon or maybe a nuzlock playthrough. Honestly anything pokemon would be fine especially with the new DLC announcement.
@@blackmoses4083 For me it kind of remind me of PMD Rescue Team with the fact that it's an isekai and the fact that you become a fugitive at one point in the game,

same. i had to force myself to play violet. its seems so slow in comparison to legends arceus. i want to whack pokemon in the face with pokeballs instead of sending out my lvl 100 monsters to battle a lvl 7 lechonk
Hell yes to all of that and to revive that cool little store plaza thing that stretched between nimbasa city and the town city that burgh is the gym leader of
And keep the tennis courts and the stadiums a thing in the black and white remakes too and not to mention that neat cool little aquatic sea tube thing that stretched from i think undella town to actually i can't remember what towns or citys it was between
some points that I think needed to be said: - Art style: the world is like a painting in the classical Japanese style and it's executed really good. - Effects: in and out of battle the effects of moves and styles are never boring (special mention to alpha eyes). - Music: the music (even if is mostly reused) is one of the best soundtracks in Pokémon, especially the origin form fight. - Shiny Arceus: this game lets you do the first legit (as far as I know) shiny hunt for Arceus. you do need bdsp but it's still a great hunt & shiny. overall a great game with some flaws (battling & multiplayer). 8.5/10.
Only thing the game lacked was exciting battles and competition. I felt like there was no point in having strong pokemon except for the final boss battle. I wish there was a legends game with gyms or similar things even though I know its not the point of the game. I just felt like this game would have been perfect with real competition
100% agree with this. I refuse to play another pokemon game until they keep that mechanic or expand upon it. I'm not slogging through another rpg where I have to go through all the drawn out battle animations just to throw the damn ball.
@@4carhur1more And I 100% agree with you. Scarlet and Violet was so massivley disspointing to me. I tried so hard to get into them, but Arceus just felt so much better to play to me than those games
I can't remember the last time I had *this* much fun playing a Pokemon game. PLA was such a refreshing take on the traditional series and way we're used to traversing the lands. It also brought a much more real element to the games that we've seen in the anime: the Pokemon can hurt you, and the concept of their dispositions towards seeing humans. An ancient Johto, Hoenn, Unova, and Alola are all ideas I'm extremely curious to learn more about.
I started it only about 5 months ago, and I LOVED that game. I could NOT put it down. The most fun I’ve had in so long. I had so much fun using new mechanics on my favorite older critters. I enjoyed this game immensely. Im still playing through S/V, regardless of all the performance issues, because it’s Pokémon and I enjoy the live raid events. But Arceus is by FAR my most played game of 2022, around 250. I still go back to shiny hunt or do some of the Arceus midnight Reverie or what it’s called battles. I know it’s not a perfect game and I won’t say it is. But it is one of the best Pokémon games I’ve ever played. If they don’t do more Legends series games then I think they’re losing on perfecting the best new formula they’ve had in decades.
Hugely underrated game, I never knew that I needed to run from a rabid alpha Ursaring that wanted my blood, but this game showed me that that really is the Pokemon experience I always wanted. Great retrospective! Best of luck with your voice over project!
Playing it still after poste game and working on gdtting ten star and I just like trainjng pokemkn. Working on some good pokemon like kleavor for when home comes to scarlet and violet but keeping my main team on the legend game and oneley transfering what I have doubles of or what I don't need on legends.
Pokémon cafe mix continues to get updates but legends has been swept under the rug already. That sucks because I really love legends and hope we see more of this series in the future. Hopefully we get bananas as a pre-order bonus 😄
Because cafe mix and other mobile games i.e. Pokemon GO, Masters EX, Unite can continuously drive revenue. But if they took all the positives from PLA into a new game, they can't do much wrong.
Emily they both have different developers. PLA was developed by Gamefreak while PCM was developed Genius Sonority. Gamefreak probably stopped development on PLA because P/S/V became top priority. PLA to me was just to hold us over until Novemeber 2022. I feel another Legends game coming because PLA sold very well. Ill take PLC next for sure.
This video was bananas! I think Legends in ancient Johto is what would make most sense. Another alternative is a Legends in ancient Hoenn detailing the events that led to the original fight of the weather trio and discovery of primal reversion.
My two main complaints are the limited ecosystems and how so many of the Pokémon feel out of place due to the small Pokédex. The aren't really any jungle, desert, cave (they are there, but minor) or urban (understandably) biomes, which makes the game feel incomplete. The five maps we got were great, but it really feels like the game is missing a DLC. The limited amount of Pokémon makes the maps repetitive and a lot of the Pokémon present feel forced or like leftovers. Alabastar is especially bad at this. Seeing Chansey and Lickitung in a frozen tundra is weird... seeing Gligar and Gible... who are four times weak to ice... is really weird.
Iron Island could have been good for a DLC, or the Sinnoh region post-game like Stark Mountain with Heatran as a story boss/objective for a volcano biome. Solaceon Ruins too seeing them used for their original purpose.
I chocked that up to this being a somewhat experimental game, my hope is that The Pokemon Company recognizes the good things about this game, and the next Legends game will be an improvement. I can't say I have that much faith considering how every Pokemon game in the last decade has been butchered in one way or another, but I really really hope this game is a sign that they do actually care about making fun and beautiful games still.
9:25 and here I thought I was the only one who got really upset by how they set up all of this lore dump in the one area where you'd actually want to be looking arround literally anywhere else but the text box on the bottom of the screen!
PLA is probably my favorite Pokémon game. I already put hundreds of hours into the game and I am itching to do more! I think this game was received very well, and I would think it would make sense for them to make more games like PLA or even make Legends a whole spinoff series (like mystery dungeon). I would love a Legends game for the Hoenn region built around the idea of exploring the vast ocean and the under water caves. But anyway! This was a well done video! Also, bananas.
As someone who has recently bought and beat this game, I gotta say, if you don't have this game,BUY IT NOW! if you have a starter in mind I'd recommend you buy thier plushie, I got an oshawatt plush with the game, and It made this game so much fun!
You’ve covered almost everything which was bananas to me! Af for the next Legends game, I’d personally love to see one based in Kalos, preferably around the French Revolution. That would be such a fascinating time and situation to explore. If you were to make another video, I wouldn’t be mad. This one was really good!
I think Legends Jhoto could be like this: 3 towns, 1 on a coast(maybe Ruins of Alph), one in the mountians(near the Lake of Rage) and Ekruteak City as a hub like Jubilife was. And still keep the big areas like Ilex Forest and Blackthorn Mountians. Having it be a little more established lends to its ancient feeling and makes the world feel complete. Participate in local customes to give depth. Trade could be a mechanic, not just of pokemon but goods. The burning of the Brass Tower could be a plot point like how the Spear Pillar was. We can see how the Beast Trio is revived by Ho-oh, maybe see how Lugia governs the Bird Trio. We dont even need to be the same player from Arceus. We could be a regular person who hears of whats happening 1 country over and desides "We can do that too!" Showing how the spark of inspiration catches on, building out Jhoto like we built out Jubilife. A young Sammy Oak could be a local, shit head kid, that we interact with, tying into main line pokemon.
I really enjoyed my playthrough of Arceus. I loved the idea of going back in time and having to confront pokemon with more primitive tech. And the idea of you creating the Pokedex kinda sheds more light on the pokemon origins. I really hope this game gets a sequel some time in the future. Cause I haven't had this much fun playing pokemon in a long time.
Pokemon legends arceus out of all the pokemon games ive played, this game is honestly one of my favourites so fun pokedex is actually do able and felt like an actual adventure. I was hoping it would be the same for scarlet and violet :(
The fact you can get everything for the dex is great. Those you needed to trade for evolving and game variants are gone. Trading and interacting may be a part of pokemon but this game seamed to break that rule at least once and I feal it works hers.
Imagine if the 'next' Legends game wasn't 'Legends Celibi', but it was set in the regions that will become Kanto & Johto, as one 'new' past region, and both Mew and Celibi are catchable here alongside the Legendary Birds & Legendary Beasts (and perhaps also with Yveltal & Xerneas for plot reasons), with the title of this game being... 'Legends MissingNo' (with MisingNo as a character and the 'hidden' main villain/threat)..?
I think this is a great idea. Maybe set it at the time of the great war in X and Y. This way the battle can spill over into the Johkan / Kanjoh region and remove the need for huge amounts of warring Pokémon on the screen.
Missingno was nothing more than a game breaking bug, why would they try to acknowledge it as a real pokemon? They even said themselves it was just a glitch. I don’t see them naming a whole game after it.
Holy bananas! Great video man! I love pokemon arceus, and only realized how much after playing violet. It was such a refreshing take on the formula and my only real gripe was the voice acting. Violet doesn't have voice acting, runs worse, and overall has a less beautiful and engaging world in my opinion. I think the art direction in Arceus was so amazing and really made the game feel more polished. Keep up the great work!
Nice review. I guess you've said most of the pros, but my cons would be in battles, it would be useful if you could pull out the Pokedex to see the research tasks. Because there's been times where you're looking for a Pokemon (like the annoying Cherubi/Cherrim) and you get in a battle but you don't know if you need to catch it or defeat it. As for what's next, if it takes place in Johto, they'll have to touch on the back story of how Lugia/Ho-oh came about and why and how the legendary dogs were formed. AND..... add voice dialogs! The amount of money being poured into all stuff Pokemon right now... There should be no limitations/excuse.
Or when two pokemon fight you allow me to attack either pokemon instead of letting us only attack one at a time. I remember they use to have moves that would hit two pokemon in one turn but now it's not like that anymore
by far better than the shitshow gen9 has been, Arceus is the only switch pokemon games thats worth replaying for every good other 12/10 pokemon you really need to have a 3ds or you can't play any good game
Amazing review! Legends arceus definitely is a top 3, if not #1, Pokémon game for me. Would love for the legends series to continue in chronological order of the Pokémon world/creation
Bananas! I held onto PLA for the year since it came out and finally got to dive into beginning of this year after beating Violet. This game was much more fluid and with great execution overall.
I'm freaking 30 years old. I started when silver came out. My brother started with Blue. I've played all the games up until the latest release but when Legends came out man i can honestly say it was the first time since i picked up Platinum that i really had fun playing a pokemon game. It just felt so fresh and new. I played Scarlet as well but i think Legends is the better game. But that's just me.
I loved this game. Got it for my 32nd birthday and I feel it’s the most likely game to relive the nostalgia of Pokémon yellow as a 10 year old. - always happy to lend a voice if needed too. ☺️😋
Can't wait for ZA. Also hope gen 10 really expands on the depth of a Pokemon region. Secrets, hidden areas with Pokemon only available there, trainers that are actually tough, etc.
I like the text… it keeps it to the original format of the game. When I was young and first began playing Pokémon the reading was a major part of the experience. The game helped me learn to read. When I first started I had to have my dad read it all for me, but eventually I wanted to get better at the game so i pushed myself further into the story and eventually I was able to beat the game without my dads help. Personally I think the text is a great way to kick it back to what the series originally was at its core. I do not think voice acting is necessary. I understand why it may seem like a good thing to have voice acting, but we have the anime for a reason. The core mechanic and storylines of the classic video games we all have played were very much told through text. Voice acting comes second to the core mechanics of the game. Just my opinion.
This game was beautifully done, this is my favorite game and the only negative I have is the battle mechanic. But after watching this video you did made me realize the graphics and designs are getting so advanced how could you not have dialogue?
My only problem with this game is that it feels empty sometimes. I kinda wish there was more npc outside the city. I love the story and that you can catch the mythicals but exploring feels empty for me
Absolutely in love with legends Arceus best Pokemon game ever. It is a shame it didn't have multiplayer battles given how easy it was to max train pokemon in the game. I'm sure they could have incorporated time rifts into multiplayer battle arenas or something like it. Would have been the cake topper the game needed to not get swapped out with scarlet & violet. I spent days playing the first area exploring and shiny hunting even before challenging the first noble pokemon. It really felt like I could spend an eternity exploring each area with no need to rush my way through the game. All in all that made the game incredibly enjoyable for me.
About to start PLA soon finally and you did a great summary. thanks. And I do hope we'll get another one in the future, Celebi could be cool indeed. I would go BANANAS for it.
I wish I had a professional vocal setup, but I do have friends that do! I would love to take part in something like this; I’ve always been fascinated with voice acting
It's worth mentioning that while the shiny odds in different games are what they are, the amount of pokemon seen matters too. Scarlet and Violet, Let's Go, and Legends Arceus you tend to find more shinies regardless of the rates simply because the pokemon being shiny in the overworld.
Yes, the franchise needs to evolve in a lot of ways, but it certaintly needs VA. But like always, they never like to risk anything, so they just keep going with the formula that worked 30 years ago.
@@MartysLive i mean, that's what they think, and it works, but only because anything they do works (works = makes a lot of money), the franchise it's so huge that no matter what they put out, everyone will buy it, no matter the quality, if it's rushed, has a lot of problems or bugs, and scarlet and violet is a perfect example of that.
I loved how we could actually see our pokemon relaxing in the pastures then when you would switch pokemon from party and pasture youd see a whole bunch of different pokemon in the pasture although I wish they would have made able to show more pokemon
Like. Something as stupid as getting in the middle of a move to have your character with a reaction was really cool. And the "exploration-combat" transaction was exquisite. You're over this big rock but the Pokémon you wanna fight it's bellow? You can command your Pokémon from up there. SV: * magically teleports to another place to battle *
If Legends: Arceus has Abilities working in and out of battles, and allow you to pick an area without talking to the guard, it would be the best Pokémon game in Generation 8.
bananas. for a 20 minute video i definitely found it to be a sleeper. it just needs transitions. the topic was good, and you had a lot to say. good video.
The thing I remember most about this game when compared to Scarlet and Violet, is that the settings, environments and characters have actual personality. Because that's something those other games are seriously lackinging in. Characters in those other games are pretty much happy toddlers that look like grown adults, environments are bland and generic and the setting is also super generic. When running around in Scarlet you run around in generic environment #2131, after which a blob of Pokémon spawn. It was all just sone phoned in and lazy. This game massively improved on all those things. Characters are way more believable, aren't always nice and happy and actually seem to have some personality to them. Pokemon individually walk around in an informant and even they, kind of, have different personalities I'm still not a big fan of all the tedious research things though. Who actually wants to catch like 40 of a single Pokémon? Because I sure don't. I much prefer the more standard gameplay loop where it's mostly about battling. So overall I'd say that everything beside the standard gameplay loop is a massive improvement. They however had to go and fiddle with the thing that makes pokemon fun. So yea, there it lost me for the most part. If you're into this new gameplay loop, this is probably a really good game for you though.
Banana's! I would love to see another legends game. Maybe one where they really take a while for development. I know pokemon company and game freak really do care about the IP. But the crunch is so unrealistic for them. For any human being. Working on 2 main lines games at the same time presumably, for only maybe 2 years 3 if we're really hoping they had some beta for SWSH . Scarlett and violet are not beautifully it it is insane to see just how bad Arceus looks after a year . So fun and one of my top 3 games on the series. But damn. I would love to see the world breathe life and pokemon to really blow my mind in how they interact and look. A genuinely replayable game with things you can discover almost each time. And it's not even that much to ask for looking at other games , where studios don't get as much sales as pokemons IP. Anyway that's all. A flushed out legends game from gen 2 would be absolutely amazing
I agree so intensely in regards to Volo. I crave the emotional high of a surprise villain with call back music and a bonus mechanic of +2 pokemon. Even Scarlet's ending which was largely praised just didn't do it for me, despite having some stellar atmosphere. A franchise can't solely rely on callbacks and "hey this is just like that person but different", but pokemon is so large and has lasted so long that honestly I think it's time they explore a bit more on doing what they did with Ingo and Volo.
I REALLY wish I hadn’t spoiled it for myself when I played PLA for the first time (I played it months after it had come out, but I wasn’t following Pokémon at all at the time). But I did. I was terrible at the noble boss fights, so I looked up playthroughs for all of them. And somehow stumbled across “the real final boss fight” videos lol.
I was really hoping they’d make a DLC for Legends Arceus, it’s a very solid game on its own but it just left me wanting more from this ancient version of Pokémon
The most logical thing I can think of would be an Iron Island area, which could be introduced via the coastal area south of Jubilife Village. It would be interesting to explore an area that’s mostly enclosed.
I dont understand how more people dont recognize what a step forward this game was. Had Gen 9 not been such a let down, the Pokemon franchise could have totally expanded on this style of gameplay. Hopefully Legends A-Z will accomplish this.
Because historically speaking, the best pokémon games never are the best selling games for their generation. From Emerald, to Platinum, to Black&White 1&2 as examples.
@@saricubra2867 thats also partly because 1. Its only one version and/or 2. They come out right after the originals. People were obviously hard pressed to spend another 40$ for ultra sun and moon right after already playing the originals. Legends Arceus is not only a game with only one version but came out right after BDSP during a less than ideal time of the year for selling games. Had it released around christmas time it wouldve sold better. I agree tho that its a shame that they dont sell as well as they should.
Bananas! Legends Arceus is my first Pokémon game and I believe I made an excellent choice. I’m hooked. Would love to see/be part of the voiceover recreation project! Best of luck!
i dont think that will happen gen 5 is the last game that hasnt been made in a 3d format ( ik johto doesnt have one neither but unless they’re willing to skip gen 5 i dont see it happening ) i think we will be getting a Legends (Genesect) 1st in 2 years also cause the genesect that we know now is pretty much a engineered pokemon based off a ancient pokemon i believe it will fit in perfectly with the vibe that Legends Arceus left us. honestly i love the path theyre taking with remaking pokemon games. i loved how they did ORAS with the Delta ep and it made me excited for Diamond Pearl. even thought BDSP was dogshit Legends Arceus has now laid down the ground work for whats to come for the future and im super excited
Imagine a Legends style game set in: Unova: We might be able to see the original dragon and perhaps the eventual splitting of it into the 3 we know. A whole story with the Swords of Justice, etc. Kalos: this can be before or after Az fires the Ultimate Weapon, Hoopa could be how we get there. Before the weapon might be better as we can get some pokemon that might have gone extinct due to it and we can meet Az while he ruled.
Three things that would make this game infinitely better is to 1. Add more trainers and depthful NPCs around the world. 2. Make Alpha Pokémon much harder to catch, catching Machamp and Garchomp was way too good, I wished they made it a lot harder. 3. Add a much better story, and challenges, like a Poké battle tournament. The story was really bad, in simple terms all you did was help calm down a bunch of noble pokemon for clans you owe nothing to, and then you catch legendary of the game, end of story, it really felt like a long side quest if anything.
I totally agree I hate reading and trying to see what’s happening, sometimes I just don’t even read much so I miss a lot of stuff, and I agree in area zero it was so hard to keep up. When will we finally getting some voice acting
This is a really good review. And I hope you're able to bring your vision of a voice over of the game to life. Look forward to seeing more of your content. ... Bananas!
I just started Scarlet, and 5 hours later I switched it off, and booted Arceus for a fresh playthrough. Arceus is no.1 modern pokemon game in my books.
Glad I’m not the only one. I’ve had Violent since release and probably only put about 2 hours into the game 😂 I couldn’t put this down when it came out
Fr now, when i saw this video i tought it was from a big youtuber, but now when i see this you only have 661 subscribers, oh wait, i just suscribed, make it 662. Hope u get 1k soon!
I mean. In Legends Arceus if you're fighting and another Pokémon is in the background it may start to attack you, making that a 2 vs 1. In SV you basically select a Pokémon into a limbo and the other near mons just vanish into aether.
A detail I've always really loved about this game that I feel goes unappreciated (and missing in Scarlet and Violet) is being in full control of your trainer during battles. The removal of that disconnect and always controlling him/her while your Pokemon battles made the trainer themselves feel more important and memorable than usual, and really felt like you were commanding a team rather than whisking away into a completely separate segment to battle back and forth as your Pokemon.
I'm from Brazil and I still can remember the day in august of 1999 when I've played for the first time Pokémon in my new Game Boy Pocket (+ Pokémon Red and Game Link Cable kit). Since then that games got me in a nostalgic way but only with Legends Arceus I could remember that day past in time. Love this game and I'm still playing.
This game was my return to Pokemon games. My last new game had been Pokemon Diamond and Pearl when they released originally on the DS. So the fact that it brought me back and led me to obtain Scarlet and later Sword speaks volumes of the quality of this game.
You know, despite the things everyone says about this game, I think it's one of my least favorite pokemon games on the switch. I heavily agree that the catching mechanic is great and I loved the new pokemon and the new direction this game took, the only problem however was that it didn't take place in a modern time period in the pokemon world. There were no pokemon centers, no stores, very few trainer battles, no gyms, no pokemon league, too many fetch quests, a bag that runs out of space(and can only be fixed by paying some random guy to expand your bag which in my opinion is complete BS), and the one thing you're going to be doing most of the time is catching and battling wild pokemon to complete the pokedex, which is something I don't do that much in a pokemon game at all. I know it takes place in the past, but that didn't make it any better for me. I've never completed a pokedex before either and I don't plan to anytime soon. Everything I listed pretty much killed the replayability for the game for me. If you like Pokemon legends Arceus, thats fine, its completely fine that anyone likes the game. I just thing that a pokemon game like this just isn't for me. The best pokemon game I've played on the switch so far was Pokemon Violet, a game that basically gave me what I wanted out of a pokemon legends style game, even though is removed a few features that were in legends arceus. Also, I've been a pokemon fan since 2005.
By far the best Pokémon game in terms of visuals, gameplay and overall sense of adventure, revived my love for Pokémon and look forward to more in this series. Made for the casual player who just love Pokémon without needing the depth of the mainline series resulting in a fun time, needs voice acting tho😂
Absolutely loved this game. I was a big fan of the battling mechanics as a way to complete the Pokédex because agile style made it easier for my high level Pokémon to not knock out weak ones. I liked feeling like the story was more to research pokemon rather than become a Pokémon master. I like the catching mechanics where you don’t have to battle just to catch something. Art style, performance, it was all perfect for me. A legends version of Gen 3 would be amazing. Imagine diving around the ocean in this kind of style…
The mechanics of this game are the best I’ve experienced in a Pokémon game. I love the research tasks and the ability to catch Pokémon in the over world. Thanks for your video, loved hearing you talk about Arceus. I lold at enamoros’ non existence.
I absolutely love Legends Arceus and I've been playing it ever since it came out. The game mechanics are super cool and being able to sneak up to pokemon in order to catch them was so much fun. The story was so interesting, too! I always love learning about lore and this game was perfect for that. The characters were really likeable as well. I do hope they make another Legends game. It would be such a fun way to answer more questions and give more information about certain legendary pokemon.
Theory and speculation videos are always a lot of fun 😄
Thanks, I'll be sure to come up with some and put my own take on things
@@MartysLive You could also try playthrough challenges. Like only using ghost type pokemon or maybe a nuzlock playthrough. Honestly anything pokemon would be fine especially with the new DLC announcement.
Reviews would be cool!
Speculation on this format of game being green 10 , building off S/V
I love that the physical attacks made actual contact! Then it went backwards to Scarlet & Violet.
Small detail but very much appreciated.
This Game revived my love for Pokemon and I still tell my Nephew to give it a play.
I would love to hear how your nephew finds the game

Absolute best Pokemon adventure I've had in so long. I should pick it up, again.
Definitely worth going back to!
Honestly it was I love the mechanics and everything about the game, I’m really disappointed i how Pokémon scarlet and violet ended up
Legends arceus was what next gen Pokémon game was meant to be
I just completed the violet game & came back to it.
Would you recommend me to buy pla or Pokémon scarlet?
Legends had my expectations too high for SV... I loved that gameplay style.
i think a lot of us felt that way for sure!
same. i had to force myself to play violet. its seems so slow in comparison to legends arceus. i want to whack pokemon in the face with pokeballs instead of sending out my lvl 100 monsters to battle a lvl 7 lechonk
I think sv are way better, but that's just my opinion.
@Rozwell Jones
I don't have SV, so I was wondering if it was worth buying. What parts of it do you love?
@@rozwelljones4976 I stopped playing SV like a week after I bought it and went back to playing PLA & BDSP.
They should definitely make more Pokémon Legends game. I think it would be epic to see the original dragon from the Unova region. 🤞🏻😁🤞🏻
To see what that would look like would be insane. Maybe Legends Unova tied with Black and White remakes at the same time?
Hell yes to all of that and to revive that cool little store plaza thing that stretched between nimbasa city and the town city that burgh is the gym leader of
And keep the tennis courts and the stadiums a thing in the black and white remakes too and not to mention that neat cool little aquatic sea tube thing that stretched from i think undella town to actually i can't remember what towns or citys it was between
Oh yeah ok the marine tube that connects between undella town and humilaou city from pokemon bw2
Facts a legends game in unova with a beautiful story and a re release of gen v all 4 games
some points that I think needed to be said:
- Art style: the world is like a painting in the classical Japanese style and it's executed really good.
8.5/10.
yes, yes, yes and yes
Only thing the game lacked was exciting battles and competition. I felt like there was no point in having strong pokemon except for the final boss battle. I wish there was a legends game with gyms or similar things even though I know its not the point of the game. I just felt like this game would have been perfect with real competition
The game looks like doshit bro
The open world still looks kinda shitty and empty though. Hope they'll make another open world with better environments and graphics
I just LOVE battles in this game.
How you can move around and even if it's a wild encounter just leave by LITERALLY leaving.
THAT PART
such an unappreciated detail! Cant tell how many battles I ran from like that.
giant demonic rapidash had me gunnin it
I hope they make more in this series. I really liked being able to throw pokeballs without battling. I’d like to see that feature become standard.
More games with it? Sure. Standard? Definitely not.
@@goeticfolkloreyour opinion is the minority
@@nahaight1373 I think ppl would complain either way tbr
It’s actually my favorite Pokémon game and I’ve been a fan since 95 just plays great, good storyline , somewhat good side stories
Totally agree, one of my favourites!
Playing it still after poste game and working on gdtting ten star and I just like trainjng pokemkn. Working on some good pokemon like kleavor for when home comes to scarlet and violet but keeping my main team on the legend game and oneley transfering what I have doubles of or what I don't need on legends.
Oh wow, you've been a fan even before the original Pokemon games even came out?😜
My favorite Pokémon game since Crystal , the best Pokémon game since Black 2 and one of the best Pokémon games period
Different companies developed those games.
@@zero9112 the main thing is that cafe remix is a mobile online service game with micro transactions built in
@@zero9112 cafe remix is made by the same company which made Colosseum, xd and battle revolution
Another alternative is a Legends in ancient Hoenn detailing the events that led to the original fight of the weather trio and discovery of primal reversion.
we got have Legends in kalos with the huge pokémon war
@@notromanramirez that and Jhoto for sure. Im dying to see what truly transpired when the 3 beasts had been reborn as such
My two main complaints are the limited ecosystems and how so many of the Pokémon feel out of place due to the small Pokédex.
More pokemon would've been a nice addition as of DLC, being able to catch up to 300-400 Pokemon would be insane!
Iron Island could have been good for a DLC, or the Sinnoh region post-game like Stark Mountain with Heatran as a story boss/objective for a volcano biome. Solaceon Ruins too seeing them used for their original purpose.
I really wish this game had gotten a DLC, and SV postponed instead of being released _the same year._
Same! I had to watch someone else's playthrough to look through the dialogue.
I just like how this guy NAILED the next legends game release year with next to no information over a year BEFORE the announcement! Major props!
hope ZA hits a grandslam!!
this has INSANE quality for how many subs you have, keep up the good work!
Thank you so much, plenty more to come!
Just because he has low subs doesn't mean he has poor quality equipment my friend. This is what they mean by never judge a book by its cover.
Also made my shiny count go through the roof! I have found 3 shiny duskulls
If I had of thought of that I would be getting a Rowlett plushie for sure. GG on the shinies!
funny enough, the gamestop I went too get it had all 3 of em as plushies! so i kinda chose em twice
While this game is very fun i just like soft resetting in bdsp more bc well shiny legendarys :)

I love the idea of your 1 year later review. With so many games having day one glitches, it seems really fair to give them a second chance.
It should have Violet city. It is based on an old capital of Japan predating Kyoto.
Blackthorn Dragon clan in the hills?
Appreciate the kind comment! ScVi does seem like a step backwards in a lot of areas, so much so it makes PLA look even better than before.
Best Pokemon game of all time, and I hope that they will make more Pokemon Legends games in the future.
This was a great video. I also submitted an audition for your project! Look forward to seeing future content from you :)
For the pokedex in battle issue, I had to find a spreadsheet online to track my progress while playing!
Or when two pokemon fight you allow me to attack either pokemon instead of letting us only attack one at a time. I remember they use to have moves that would hit two pokemon in one turn but now it's not like that anymore
This video def reminded me of how much i love legends arceus. Such a well put together video! praying for that celebi sequel
by far better than the shitshow gen9 has been, Arceus is the only switch pokemon games thats worth replaying for every good other 12/10 pokemon you really need to have a 3ds or you can't play any good game
Amazing review! Legends arceus definitely is a top 3, if not #1, Pokémon game for me. Would love for the legends series to continue in chronological order of the Pokémon world/creation
Thank you!
Bananas! I held onto PLA for the year since it came out and finally got to dive into beginning of this year after beating Violet. This game was much more fluid and with great execution overall.
Glad you got to enjoy PLA regardless of when you started playing it!
BDSP’s origin form Pokémon are probably references to “god crafting life in his image”
Yeah, it makes sense now!
This game was beautifully done, this is my favorite game and the only negative I have is the battle mechanic. But after watching this video you did made me realize the graphics and designs are getting so advanced how could you not have dialogue?
You either loved or loathed the battle system for sure.
Wow, what a lovely review. Very honest , positive and nice to listen to :)
thank you, definitely bringing more your way!
One of the most unique Pokemon games around!
My only problem with this game is that it feels empty sometimes. I kinda wish there was more npc outside the city. I love the story and that you can catch the mythicals but exploring feels empty for me
I agree that it does feel a bit lonely in the wilderness. Maybe there's more to do in a future game
This!

It's worth mentioning that while the shiny odds in different games are what they are, the amount of pokemon seen matters too. Scarlet and Violet, Let's Go, and Legends Arceus you tend to find more shinies regardless of the rates simply because the pokemon being shiny in the overworld.
yes, very fair point! While the games have shiny odds, there's little discussion about encounter rates. Could be worth doing a video on!
Yes, the franchise needs to evolve in a lot of ways, but it certaintly needs VA. But like always, they never like to risk anything, so they just keep going with the formula that worked 30 years ago.
Yeah, agreed. If its worked for 30 years, it will probably happen for another 30 years too
@@MartysLive i mean, that's what they think, and it works, but only because anything they do works (works = makes a lot of money), the franchise it's so huge that no matter what they put out, everyone will buy it, no matter the quality, if it's rushed, has a lot of problems or bugs, and scarlet and violet is a perfect example of that.

If Legends: Arceus has Abilities working in and out of battles, and allow you to pick an area without talking to the guard, it would be the best Pokémon game in Generation 8.

for a 20 minute video i definitely found it to be a sleeper. it just needs transitions. the topic was good, and you had a lot to say.
Pokemon individually walk around in an informant and even they, kind of, have different personalities
I'm still not a big fan of all the tedious research things though.
Wow! I appreciate the detailed comment. The future of the Pokemon series is great and could go even better!
That Volo battle has us all shook like the first time most of us faced Cynthia.
What happened to the voice acting project?
Bananas, all jokes aside great video Marty. and let us pray to our Lord and savior bidoof for legends celebi

Easily my most favourite game for a very long time. Looking forward to ZA
I agree tho that its a shame that they dont sell as well as they should.

i dont think that will happen gen 5 is the last game that hasnt been made in a 3d format ( ik johto doesnt have one neither but unless they’re willing to skip gen 5 i dont see it happening ) i think we will be getting a Legends (Genesect) 1st in 2 years also cause the genesect that we know now is pretty much a engineered pokemon based off a ancient pokemon i believe it will fit in perfectly with the vibe that Legends Arceus left us. honestly i love the path theyre taking with remaking pokemon games. i loved how they did ORAS with the Delta ep and it made me excited for Diamond Pearl. even thought BDSP was dogshit Legends Arceus has now laid down the ground work for whats to come for the future and im super excited
The possibilities are quite literally endless, now with the Time Machine being brought into the Pokemon Universe in Scarlet & Violet. Anything goes.
Imagine a Legends style game set in:
Unova: We might be able to see the original dragon and perhaps the eventual splitting of it into the 3 we know.
A whole story with the Swords of Justice, etc.
Kalos: this can be before or after Az fires the Ultimate Weapon, Hoopa could be how we get there.
Before the weapon might be better as we can get some pokemon that might have gone extinct due to it and we can meet Az while he ruled.
Some background to the Ultimate Weapon could confirm speculation about how Paldea and Kalos are connected and not just geographically
I want Pokemon Legends: Kyurem
Do we cam explore the past unova and the first dragon
The first dragon would be sick!
Three things that would make this game infinitely better is to

I mean. In Legends Arceus if you're fighting and another Pokémon is in the background it may start to attack you, making that a 2 vs 1.
In SV you basically select a Pokémon into a limbo and the other near mons just vanish into aether.
Okay, first of all... bananas. Secondly, great video I'm going to play this for the first time tonight.
Great video, subbed fast. Also, nice to hear a familiar accent on YT!
BANANAS GREAT VIDEO! Just got back to playing this game and i LOVE IT!
You just know this pokemon game is made with passion. Those trees, rocks, world, pokemon leaping you... I can't find any pokemon game to par this..

Legends Arceus will always have a special place in my heart
Bananas! I thoroughly enjoyed your video and discussion on what you enjoyed about the game 😄
The absolute best Pokemon game im a pokemon yellow baby huge gen 2 fan and i spent my most time playing gen 4
That concept for Legends Celebi sounds amazing!!!
