Everyone I met in Coronado, which is a retirement slum, said to avoid Nueva Gorgona and Punta Chame even if I was offered a free place to stay. Takes forever to get to/from town, and there is absolutely nothing to do in Gorgona, Nueva Gorgona, or Punta Chame. Apparently the rules at Bahia are extremely stringent and make living there like being in a Catholic Middle School run by ruler-bearing bitter old nuns. Don't do it.
