It's amazing that you still have such a clear, detailed memory of such things. Though I suppose it makes sense, seeing as you spent so much of your life there.

I remember a guy from my childhood. He brought home a 13 in clear tv. It was crazy seeing all the things inside of a tv box. By the way love the stories and how much helping others means to you. Keep up the good work.

Where my ex husband was they institutional movie channel along with being able to watch regular shows when they had a tv of their own. That movie channel would show all the popular movies out at the time, they would change the movie daily I believe, but he was able to watch stuff that hadn’t even hit the steaming services yet. It was the same problem where he was, the fight over what to watch. He was so grateful when I helped him get a tv because he said he was so done with all the drama. I guess they would all watch the news in the morning and then it would start. A group would want BET another group would want CMT like you said, and for some crazy reason (I’m assuming the butts) a bunch of the guys wanted to watch Keeping up with the Kardashians, and Rachel Ray was a fave in the morning. I can’t imagine having so many different personalities always clashing. One thing that my ex struggled with was how loud it was, he got migraines that triggered seizures. He said that a lot of the older guys and people with long sentences tended to be more respectful towards one another, and it was the younger guys who wouldn’t come in mouthing off and trying to act like they were someone important.

My brother bought a tv from another inmate when he got out. We had to figure out how to pay the person's family for it, fun times. Im not sure who my brother passed the tv to when he was released 🤔

Weirdest part of the story is people actually fighting to watch CMT.

I don't know how you feel but I believe that anyone who sentences anybody that has a non-"corpus delicti" offense to jail must themselves have spent a minimum of 30 days living under the same conditions.
I served my time as a level 2b in maximum security prisons with no prior record and like so many with no injured party, I didn't even have a felony and like too many got railroaded.
How do you feel about this?
I think our justice system and society would be a lot better if they didn't use a hammer for every person that isn't a nail.
    Thanks 🙈🙉🙊

I can’t believe everyone on BET is an inmate?… are they housed right there in the corporate office?
… already figured out about CMT when every song started mentioning a truck, beer, and lost women as a metaphor for pegging.
I think I was like 13 or so back then hahaha
