He can either be the greatest living OR the greatest of all times. Not both. Contradiction of terms.

It is not a contradiction of terms. It is a plausiblly logical scenario where a person can be the greateat of all time while he is still alive. That means by comparing him with others before him during his lifetime, he has been the greatest; however, no one knows what the future has on the offer. Wil he still hold the title of greatness after his death? Well, no one knows. Therefore, he is greatest living sitarist of all times as compared to those before him, not after him. Only time will tell if he will be still the greatest after his death. If you still lack the logical and linguistic capablility to fathom what I said, then you are excused.

@@ajr1247 If English is not your first language, then YOU are excused as YOUR feeble attempt at explaining your original statement is DIFFERENT from your original statement . If you had explained it in that way the first time, it would be correct. So go to an English teacher and ask them if your original statement makes sense. As I said if English is not your first language it is excusable because as a former professor it IS MY MOTHER TONGUE. (Update: my ESL teacher -friend with 20 years experience agrees with me.) So you may need so ESL training whether it is your native language or not smart ass.
