Great, greater, greatest both Pt Budhadittya Mukharji and Tabla Ustad. Heavenly rendering of the raga Shudhya Kalyan. The gliding from Saa to Dha taking in between Ni and from Pa to Ga taking the between Tivra Ma is very attractive.
They are simply human wonders, mesmerizing many art connoisseurs like me…the rendition is spellbound and has transcended me to some divine world….satakoti pranams to you both
Very good performance but actually everything sound similar and there is nothing related to Tempo variation in taan or even in any pattern he played and beyond all, it has nothing to do with khayal Ghayal style of singing, with this composition. actually it would be better if he want to play in Khayal style, he must play that on sur Bahar as alap only, and then he can show his command with different Tempo of compositions.

Right in between the chikari keys on his sitar, there are 2 'T shape' metal items. Does anyone know what are they for? Thanks.
Fine tuner as used on Violins, can get them from music stores that sell Violins and Violas.
I am not sure what you a actually mean, but it could be the Khuti.on which the chikari stings rest on.
