It is supremely elevating to partake of this pinnacle of virtuosity displayed by Budhadityaji. Here we hear the pristine purity of Raga Yaman as revealed by the Maestro, flowing eternally from some sacred fount, some profound dimension of the universe. At first some spurts of bliss start spilling forth into our awareness, creating a miraculous ambience, and then slow elaborations of mellifluous swirls developing into harmonious themes transport us to some magical ethereal landscape where we are dazzled by evermore complex rhythmical symphonic bouquets. There our being surrenders itself to some higher truth that is manifesting itself through enthralling soundscapes and one is left ultimately in an ocean of joyous tears.

Wah! Marvelous! And I love the review, comparing music to calligraphy, being a musician and a calligrapher myself, I find such similarities many times! Panditji is a true master, for me a living legend, for sure! Thanks all those involved!

I love your comment. I am not an artist, but I too find that parallels can be drawn across different art forms - for example, for me this is like reading a beautiful literary novel, one that has a good story to tell, and is told in exceptionally constructed prose. And in my opinion, Panditji is one of the finest "storytellers"!

Thought the same, especially in relation to Sino-Japanese calligraphy, how the meends are like musical curving strokes of the brush.

His best YamanKalyan. Very sophisticated, refined, deep but uncomplicated like Satyajit Ray's films. I am astonished by the Maihar-like intelligent planning of the barhat (listen phrases in 25.05 to 27.10 and 36.00 to 39.14) in addition to the technical perfection of his gharana. That innovative slowing at 40.00 to 41.00 was another pleasant surprise.
