    I'm watching your videos for the first time, and gotta say, I LOVE what I'm seeing.
    Slight editing suggestion, please don't have images cut to black, to cut back to images. It goes too fast, and the contrast is high, putting quite some strain on the eyes. Take at least half a second longer for each image, and transition the images with NO black screens in between for a calmer, more pleasing on the eyes transition.

    Out of curiosity.. How would a building like this deal with heavy snow? from this it would seem to me like all the snow would just get nicely piled up on the roof.. in comparison with roofs on buildings like these that we have in Europe where they are usually slanted (A shape)

    • @couriersix8294
      @couriersix8294 2 года назад +261

      flat roofs are never really exactly flat there slanted slightly to a corner where water drains away as the snow melt and gravel roof have a water colletion system under the gravel which dose the same thing

    • @lafandio8954

    Just an added thing of realism apartments(from floor-to-ceiling) are typically 9-10ft tall(2.7-3m) in America and seem to be about 8-9ft tall in Europe(2.5-2.7m) That'd be three blocks with a slab at the top(8ft/2.5m) or just the three blocks(10ft/3m)
    p.s. feel free to correct me in replies

    • @isaacsim8486
      @isaacsim8486 2 года назад +1

      Nice catch
      looking at 1:57, if I imagined a player standing in the room (they would reach just under half way from the floor to the ceiling), the ceiling does seem too high. Somewhere between 2.5 and 3 blocks seems to be a much better proportion even though on average a real person is shorter than a minecraft character. Guess the build may seem too squashed? then I guess instead of a trapdoor and a block between floors, he could go for just 2 blocks instead

    • @ferrin6326
      @ferrin6326 2 года назад

      In Minecraft, the difference between 2, 3, and 4 blocks of vertical space in a build is pretty big. 2 blocks is squished, 3 is average and common in survival and some builds, and 4 blocks is roomy and pleasant to be in. I think it's mostly a design thing.

    no disrespect to this fine gentlemen for just taking advantage of advertising opportunities. Just wanted to recommend that no one buys from that particular watch company. I've heard many talk about them having very poor customer service and business practices. If you want something quality they are also not the watches you should look at. If you just want an affordable watch for fashion reasons, there are many other reputable brands to go to that can even be cheaper and will last a lifetime.

    • @TheMCCraftingTable

    "psst, hey you. Wanna buy a watch? I know you need a watch. If you had a watch you'd know it's night time, and night time ain't no time to be in this neighborhood."

    I'm not looking to apply this to Minecraft (...mostly) but rather for my urban modern RPG (which also uses tile-based graphics, though in isometric view) so this is the closest I've come to someone who knows their stuff explaining how to do modern architecture with a tileset restriction and limited to, well, squares.
    I'm taking so many notes right now... Also the height of the apartments on this build is incredibly tempting to make because this is EXACTLY the right height for a slimeblock elevator, I think I still have a model in my trial world that would fit just about in this floor plan. (I *could* just make some custom end gateway teleporters but slimeblock elevators are fun to use, they're bouncy!)

    idea for solar panels, if you ever update to 1.18 you can retexture big dripleafs and then probably use debug sticks to angle them.

    helps alot, i think you should amke a vid about city planning in minecraft, like if theres an ocean here, a swamp, a desert in the south and west, where would you put certain districts, like old, residential, business, industrial, etc districts would go, also how to make transitions between districts and make some areas look as if it was upgraded, as not every city was built in the same era, to add realism there would be older buildings, some very old like in european cities, but you should teach a way to transition between them

    Like the comments below, you should try the Chisel and bits mod as well as use other mods that allow actual function of things like elevators and tvs
    also allowing some people to go and decorate the interior of buildings might be kinda fun
