You must be the only developer that is not an office hermit. Congrats. Good choice of doing what you love. And stay off the tractor
Two different points of views of the same project, literally 😂
Thanks for sharing sir!
I appreciate you sharing your experiences Geoff. Most ICF videos are edited to make it look easy. You're so bad at this that it looks hard even after the editing! 😂
Seriously, thank you for keeping it real. I came for the pond project but stayed because I'm interested in your development and construction content. Plus you seem like a genuinely good person. #respect
Very interesting project.
I been watching since Chris dug the house.
He is a rockstar operator
Good thing Chris was there today to help Billy bob 😂 tractor unstuck Team work
Looks like you're getting a good start on the nudura wall structure.
A pro ream assisting in learning how to do it certainly saves a lotta headaches.
Good luck with the coming concrete pour Geoff.
Of course Chris showing up to make the pool site safer is a huge plus.
Man, that is a project! I'm 80 yrs old, my dad was a carpenter, wish I was there to help!
Bealy said it, he 'got off' and had to get Doobie Brothers 'rollin', then it's off to 'date night.' What a party animal.
I have watched DP and Dig for years. I have to say I watched Dig do your pond and got introduced to you. Watched you and him go scouting thru the worst thorns I have ever seen, and now this. ITS BEEN GREAT. Now you get a sub and I am having fun...THANKS
Awesome! Thank you!
Progress with each video. It's going great!
Thanks!
That Let's Dig 18 guy sure does have the skills.... Can't wait to see your ( quite complex ) pool completed Geoff.
Man look at all that green grass around the pond. Im looking forward to the next step. great video as always. thanks
Thanks 👍
I watched Matt from DP's channel adjust the plumb wall bracing from the wall board. Quicker and easier than moving
The bow is in the bottom of the walls.
You need to string line to bottom of the posts first.
Enjoyed your selection of music to match your time lapse videos. What an incredible project!
Thank you very much!
Anticipation is a killer. Looking good. God Bless and Good Health.
Another excellent DOG DOG production. Y'all getting closer to having a pool!
Now let's see how much mischief you both can get yourselves into. So much going on and learning all the way. Very interesting.
I love watching your videos after watching LD18. The level of detail is nice and the different multiple perspectives you capture are worth it. As others have said, you are an amazing developer by being both hands on, flexible, and fun. At least as far as video evidence goes 😬.
The amount of precision adjustment that those braces bring and the ease in which it does it is a blast to watch.
Thank you very much!
Things are rolling along now! Looking forward to seeing more!
You all are doing an awesome job, place will be a wonderful comforting resort like home full of fun stuff to do. Wine and dine the lady you guys deserve it.
Great team work!!! ❤
MAN, that is BEALY GOOD. Nice.
Wowza, Josh was a workhorse on getting those segments built. Matt Parr had shown on his build how you use the bracing to straighten walls. It was dramatic here! Nice job, all the way around. I laugh at how you didn't show getting the backhoe stuck!🤣Thank you for sharing this, Geoff. It's really fun seeing your dreams get fulfilled.😉
🤣 the tractor getting stuck was actually a different day. I’m not sure if I got video of it yet or not 🤔. Still editing :)
@@BealyGood 🤣Thanks Geoff!
Coming along nicely. Y'all take care.
Good luck bud! Great work!
You are going to have to give Chris about 25 steak dinners for having to keep getting you and your tractor unstuck. 😂😂😂 The build is coming along nicely.
nice work bealy
Great Vid BG 👍👍👍👍
An awesome team 🎉🙋♀️💖🇨🇱
it's starting to look like something 😁great video 👏👏👏👌👌👌👍👍👍
Love it
Geoff the videos just keep getting better awesome content and pools going to be freaking awesome. And as I've been watching your videos for probably 18 months and i don't know how long you have known Chris but he's a good friend i know your paying him but he goes far beyond what required to do a job doing them little things that helps to prevent problems in the future. And besides that you guys make awesome videos when your working together. Stay safe 🍻
Thanks 😊
great content, shift scaffold and more bracing concrete will push your forms all over the place
Dont forget the plumbing for the floor drain
It will be in there
Got to love those "armchair" project managers. 😂 You're really having fun now and making great progress. Btw, I'm an "armchair" fan!
😁
It looks like it works. I think that you should have some very warm water 💧 in your pool.
Geoff sure nice to see you get some physical work out of Chris LoL looking good brother
Thanks 👍
Somebody better love swimming and do it everyday!
Sometimes its just relaxing to sit poolside and watch the kids have fun.
The cement bucket worked pretty good for gravel but it might have been easier with make shift scaffolding on the inside. Easy to say after the fact, sorry, Geoff.
Man, those auto kickers are "Fckn" awesome !! lolol... oop's , I mean "Darn" !! lmao !! Yep, pun intended...lololol... Dude, back in the day, we would have spent forever kicking those off the old fashion way, get one set , pin it, move to the next !! lolol... Stuff has come a long way from what it used to be, for sure... Looks like you Guys are moving right on a long now Geoff, looking good Man !! That's one hell of a system, I mean all in all, it really doesn't look hard at all once you get everything pre-fabbed, and put into place !! Great Video !! Have a Great Day !!
looking stunning ,just wondering how many of letsdigs diggers have you helped buy ,you two have a great frindship now
😁
So does the plywood come off or stay on when it’s finished? Great job you guys are doing. 👍🏻
comes off and the inside is colour coated to a smooth finish.
Good job! Would putting a French drain (on the outside pool perimeter) and tying it to the sump pump well been of any benefit?
Maybe. We’ll definitely get into that pit in the future
Looks awesome. Would.the turn key price of that pool be 250k ish?
You and your tractor have a real rocky relationship regarding getting stuck bro. Great video though. Safe travels. Ken.
After the pore a 20x40 went to a 19x40
Where's the OSHA Man at? That ladder etiquette needs some help. 😁
Chris, didn't try putting the bucket end clevis pin thru the swivel and then the hook into the cable did he?
At least you had a good supervisor
👍👍👍
You need to tease Chris… Those concrete buckets are normally used with cranes…. Why didn’t he bring his over? 😛
27:24 ICF walls may be fine when filling them with concrete. However, as one can see, they are not very good at holding a wall straight when the hollow structure is used to hold back the concrete being poured between the future wall and the surrounding soil. Perhaps more of those PlumbWall braces would be needed.
The FabForm system would have worked better in this application. Live and learn.
@@BealyGoodI just watched your newest video and saw the correction you made. I am sure everything will be OK. Takes guts to take on such a large project with all the risks involved but heck, Elon Musk blows up rockets and takes it in stride as part of the learning process. Hang in there and best of luck to everyone on the project.
is that wall gonna be okey? it looked a bit overloaded and that it started to bow,,,its very hard to push back a wall with the bracing when it starts to move,,
Sure hope no news about the pool progress is good news and not bad news related to really wet weather?
Video out at noon. I’m trying to get videos out on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. There’s a lot of editing so it’s a tough schedule but that’s what I’m shooting for.
Thank for the update, looking forward to your next video. Impressed by both you and Chris on the production rate and quality of videos.@@BealyGood
Hey Bealy Good! I'm heard you say "duck oh darn ah hit it again" so did you mean for him to lower his head or did you see one of the duck mafia? Ride ride ride!
I heard ya 🤣👍
Geoff, do you notice things going more smoothly with the new haircut?? Just curious..
I just lowered my ears
I was surprised you didn't vibrate the concrete. What do I know. Maybe the mix determines that. Great progress
This was supposed to be flowable fill. Just junk that’s harder to shift than gravel.
Jeff, please wear proper workboots instead of runners to protect your feet !! You are doing ok otherwise on this very complicated job. Greetings from Australia
I have on work boots
@13:10, stretch a line and adjust to it?
I did some tree work at a house in Tulsa in an old neighborhood and it was the last house on dead end. When I pulled up they had a little circle driveway to the front door. The house didn’t look very big until u walked to the back it was built on a steep hill and most of the house was real tall in the back. The back of the deck wall was about 20 feet tall and the pool had curves with big holders and the pool went right up to the glass wall of the house I freaked out when I saw that u just go under water and boom now your in the house with the pool being twice as big u could swim up and sit at the bars in or out sit and look out across the back and the 18 tent hole of southern hills country club was right there. They said it was meet sitting at the bar in the pool watching tiger woods making his last putt. I bet it was the best seat ant the tournament
👋👋
If you’re pouring concrete to the backside, how are you supposed to remove the form boards or is that something that remains after the pour only one side is removable
Only one side is removed
@@BealyGoodOnly the pool water side of the forms.. Then you finish coat the inside of the pool concrete.
armchair quarterback with 50 years concrete excavating and carpentry/building experience in houses to multi million dollar commercial, hint for you, get a manufacturer's rep out there, they will eat it up and help you out... and keep your crew , admire the imagination though!!!
Just a quick question, are you going too have a floor drain in your pool?
It’s like you can see into the future 😁. Thanks
Yes. 3 of them
just good production ;-) annnd it's always good to have a hopefully good manuf. rep w experience to give thoughts n get the feel of being a true part of the team !!@@BealyGood
I just watched Let’s Digs video. I had no idea Chris makes 3X more money directing concrete from a pump truck then running an excavator…
That's gonna be a great late night pool for skinny-dipping, just hope no snapping turtles get in there 🤣🐢
Mr Jeff, you were late , Chris was there at 7.05
Why are you placing concrete when you have all your fuys there ,you are camera boy remember ?
I hope you team is up to speed for Chris ?
Highlight of the day ,Chris helping you get the Tractor Unstuck ,again ,at least you are consistent.
Keep smiling
Have you been vibrating the air out, or not worried about it.
Not worried about it for what this is for. The concrete for inside the walls will get vibrated.
Is there a reason why you didn’t use the 90 degree nudura corners and instead used the straights?
Yes. They don’t make a corner that is a one sided form (with the special webs that allow plywood to be applied )
@@BealyGood yes they do. Well at least it’s on nudura website
They have a inside and outside corner
www.nudura.com/media/2531/one_seriesnudura20.pdf
Here is the link
@@lawrence575 they do not have a one sided corner.
Goeff, don't mean to rain on the parade but it strikes me that a good block mason with several helpers could have laid that up with far less drama. Maybe that's just because I'm used to block and old school. Just trying to figure how this is better.
This isn’t the house, it’s the pool. These forms take more time than the ones for the house.
A very complex but fragile system .I will be pleasantly surprised if it actually performs as designed , on this scale. I hope it does .good luck
Oh Mr, Bealy. What i see make me Horror! Your Workt without a good Scaffold on the Inside from Pool, by this Height!!! All only Ladder!! Then the Corner connection? Chris help You very good. But I have Anxiety round the Team, by this Job. Greeting from Austria 😱
❤️
Everyone knows you can’t swim in a pool that is out more than an 1/8”. Come on man!😂
🤫
Hate to be critical of the hard work, but that back wall has more waves than the U.S. Navy.
The good news is it’s not done yet
That wall is not strait
Good thing it isn’t done yet 👍🏼
Wait till you get the bill from Chris🤣
ok so when the concrete was being pumped and Chris was holding the hose....exactly who was working for who at that time? 🤔🤔🤣🤣🤣🤣
Granted my experience with concrete wall construction is somewhat limited, but I am not favorable impressed with this form system.
These are five times harder doing the pool. Not to be confused with the forms for the house. Still easier than gunite
So at 19:35 they gave in to using a STRING LINE like the rest of us "amateurs"
No use putting it up there till we’re ready to straighten 🤣
There's a bow in the wall
That's when we tell the customer we added a "slight radius" at NO added cost.
😂@@denniswilliams3934
You and Chris should get married, your like a pair of housewives
*you’re
Nothing but a vanity pool.
🤔 I don’t think I’ll be able to see my beautiful reflection in it 🤔
Pretty sketchy work from the ladder for the gravel pour…..
Sketchy is my middle name
Looks wet for that job
It was.
get yourself a 'string line', run it corner to corner (guy setting the hardbacks can see when to stop). interesting system. lots of garbage.
Need to use a string line to get the walls straight. Much more accurate than eyeballing it.
There’s string in there somewhere
Bitte immer untertitel verfügbar machen!
I set subtitles 🤔. I’ll check it in a bit.
O Billy Bob lol = Geoff :)
