Most people would have edited that repair out but not you, very honorable!
Mr Bealy Good you are the best builder and very considerate of the quality of the work that you are doing and communicating with everyone involved and showing everything that happens on your job you are one stand up dude and winning any kind of award is still winning 👍😎🇺🇸 NY
A person told me “ it’s not what happens to you it’s how you deal with it that’s important”. Thanks for sharing all of your experiences!
Yes! Thank you!
I seem to remember Mr. Chris (Let'sdig18) mentioning something about the consistency of the pour when you first started.
He was apparently ignored. Good thing he's not the type to say" I told ya so". 😆👍
I told him so.... I just dig the hole LOL
@@letsdig18 I remember you saying that Chris. Me?, I'm just an "armchair" fan. I love watching this movie 😂
The degree of difficulty with your pool build will make any customer pool seem like child's play.
Learn the hardest lesson and then everything is easy.
Also, and this can't be said enough. Wanting to share knowledge and experience with anyone and everyone is a beautiful thing.
I'm glad that I found this group of friends (Chris, Bealy, Clint,Mike etc) and all of the accompanying folks in their ecosystem.
Actual community is blessed thing!❤🙏🏼
Things happen Jeff. Keep going forward you have great people around you.
They built the pool at a local school in a week. The company used aluminum forms that they set in place with a crane on a truck.
I would like to see that being done. Sounds cool. Probably hard to be do it yourself though.
Hey Geoff, love watching all your posts from here in London England......I always watched Duck Mafia years ago, much to the amusement of my colleagues in New Holland, Penn...now enjoy what you and Chris get up too on the various 'plots'...keep up the entertainment sir 🙂
Thanks 😊
I am from NZ and have been in construction for a lot of years used poly blocks on several jobs as you said your first time is a learning curve ,keep up the good work you will get there
I Hate to say This But the First thing Cris Said on that Pool Pour was he thought it was supposed to be Dry he ?? lol Oh Well i think 12 feet Deep a few inches lost on the Size wont really Matter that Sneek Peek did Look Like Organized Kaos lol Never Fear the Bealy Team is here lol Good Luck hope it goes ok
Yes he did!!
Yep, yep!! To the cement. Geoff’s body language said I know, but the concrete guys didn’t listen well enough.
I'm not here to learn or to judge, i'm just here to have a Bealy Good time.
Geoff it's your house. I'm sure b when it's completed it will be awesome 💯
This is a big project good thing you have a few helping hands
Nice video Mr Bealy Good. In something you haven't done before you always have a learning curve if you aren't familiar with the job.
You guys are doing a good job Geoff, that's going to look good when it's done. Can't wait till it's all done and Chris has the place all slicked and ready for the compose and the grass planted
A Bealy Goode Video, thanks!
Geoff, i saw the video of your pool on Cutting Edge Homes! Now i understand the pool youre building!! I accidentally came across the video. It was very informative!!!!
Chris said in the last video @21:04 ( thought that was goin to be dry concrete). Enjoyed the video.
I look forward to your update videos. Seems like you all have everything under control. I didn't see Chris there. Keep positive and God Bless You All.
Thanks for taking the time to share with us!! Love it!!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I watch awsome framers, and they buy damaged I joists from their supplier and use them for straight edge strong backs on their poured wall forms.
Every day is a learning day Jeff and I know after having been in building all my life. Greetings from Australia
So I have learned a lot watching this channel. What i have learned I am not sure because I would probably make many more mistakes if I had to do what you are doing. I now see the plumbing but am watching to see ow it will all be installed. I am still not sure what went wrong with the pour but building houses and pools is not my thing. I worked for a custom home builder when I was in high school many years ago and I hated it because of how poorly the crew treated me. He (the contractor) was a good to me.
Nothin beats a failure but a try…live and learn and keep your positive mindset 🙋♀️💖🇨🇱
Geoff you’ll always have the keyboard, know all warriors, whatever you do. Other people will learn from your mistakes so you having the b##ls to share your build vlogs is a good thing. Keep them coming and thanks for sharing. 🇬🇧👍👍👍
I told you, but it ain't my money, it ain't my time, and I wasn't there to supervise. I watched a fantastic speech by Biden tonight. We can tell the economy is great as Bealy testifies as such. Great video.
🤨🤣
Thanks for sharing both the good and the bad Geoff. I really enjoy watching you tackle these massive projects.
You're doing great and I appreciate you showing what goes on in a real world job. The turbo-chickens making high speed passes @ 6:00 are hilarious. Keep going for every troll you have 1000 fans wishing you the best.
Thanks 👍
You're doing a great job, Mr. Bealy Good
it is a learning curve but none in the walls is the goal. you will get their. cheers
I also think you should consider ground source geothermal will slinky loops in the pond for the heat exchange then use thin fab coils in the home for the air exchange
We love our geothermal heating system.!
"Bealy". at least you can correct it before is Done. once is finished . that's the problem. and good work takes time.👍
Geoff, a very Interesting system and build. Never seen one like this. Can't wait to see this all done. Thank you for filming all this and documenting it all as well, Great work! Give Dog Dog a hug for me..
Love your Bealy Good attitude! In a perfect world it would be like.. well there isn't a perfect world. Thanks for REAL Bealy good!
😅hi Mr Bealy Good from the UK I quite like the look of the ICF system , I havnt actually used or seen it before although I have done a lot of plywood shuttering on vertical walls love the bracing system looks easy to use which is what you want I presume the internal ply is taken off after pouring to leave a concrete surface for a finish later on the house footers are looking good especially from the drone footage , my old boss always said doesnt matter how much you know you never stop learning , you must be proud of the work your son is putting in I know I would be look forward to following the rest of the ICF build looks impressive take care
Dog Dog is the the final inspector No job is complete until Dog Dog finalizes her inspection Go Dog Dog
Inspector Dog Dog
Dog dog needs a vest with that on
Using the correct concrete mix design for the application is critical. Having a pump truck operator that knows what they are doing is as well. I've pumped a 2" slump before. There is a lot more that can be done with concrete then people realize from the aggregates to admixtures to achieve different strengths and permeability.
Hello Mr. Bealy Good, the pool is looking good. You always have to have a little drama on the first pool. I know you will figure it out, and it will look good when you're done. Thanks for sharing 🤪 👍👍👍
I remember in the last video Chris said he thought the cement was going to be a lot drier ...
FYI Mr. Bealy you never pour and concrete in the ICF walls until all your strong backs are in and all walls are plumb if they are not plumb you will have nothing but bulging walls.
This wasn’t the pour for the walls
Thanks for the videos. I’m learning something ever time you put one out.
Glad to hear it
Great video Bealy good. Going to be a mighty fine cement pond . Keep it real we enjoy all your videos.
Your doing a good job
No advice from me Geoff. This all looks amazing and very educational. Good luck to you all.
I am thoroughly enjoying this. What a dream project and home.. Good for you Geoff. 🥳🙌🏼
Looks good . Thanks
I can see the swiming shots from the pool while the house is still under construction.. Right!!! I saw that front going in and was cringing and made me sad.. Life is a live and learn situtation.
Thanks for the update, I did have some questions, but as usual, if I wait long enough, they get answered along the way, and it gives me something to puzzle on til the answer comes and get to see how close or far off I was on what i thought it would/ should be. Interesting to watch the project develop, enjoying the series.
Its a learning curve to start out like you are & then you have to start with a complex everything!! Your doing great!
You just learned conc is very unforgiving, especially when your pumping with a higher slump than you ordered.
Next time try low (lifts) & slow (pouring).
Be careful out there. Blowouts & accidents happen fast.
Great recovery on the wall & thanks for sharing all of the project, even the oops parts.
Looking good Geoff!
Cool stuff. Enjoyed watching ✌️ 😎
A great watch keep them coming 👍👋🇨🇦
Pity about the revamp but that's OK - we all have to learn somehow. Hindsight is a great thing. Kudos to you showing the errors - helps all who will be building a pool - humbling attitude Bealy Good - love it. Always knew you were one of the good ones :)
This is great, Geoff. Thanks for sharing.
Geoff looks great! Thanks for sharing! Kevin
Glad you have the problem solved and ready to pour. Thanks good video.
You had a pool in October '23 ... Sorry pal , that was your basement.. 🤣 All looking good now ... 💯
Admit it Jeff...you guys were free-ballin without a net...as i watched pour day I was in awe of your courage more than skills...I let the trades do their job...they just need supervision...this pool guy will sort it out...we builders have all made mistakes...big job!
Chris did mention the concrete seamed too wet in the last video bro, I am sure it will all come out looking good in the end. Safe travels. Ken.
Great content - honest as well "that's why I show everything"
Learning happen. Much respect for showing it
Another awesome video! Your great attitude speaks volumes!!
I appreciate that!
Good video
Great video. Keep up the good work. I love your video's..
Pucker power level 7 i love it doesn't matter what anyone says negative on your channel just know that when your pool is complete you and your family will be the only ones using unless of course you can talk yourself or son into throwing Chris in that would be entertaining 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Looking good Mr. B. Good !! I'm glad U show mess ups !! It has a learning from it kinda quality 😊 !!
thanks for sharing
Keep up the good work , I think you all are doing a fine Job it is a lot of work .
Those are some nice aquarium tanks you're building. 🤔🤔🤔
I retract my comment about the waves and the Navy from yesterday ... Good stuff.
The Guru has arrived. Things are looking up with "Moses" here. He wears a black shirt so he can be easily found in the sea of orange 😂 Have a productive and great weekend!
Geoff your bob the builder 😂😂😂 keep up the great work
#1…good job guys…
Loving your honesty and integrity Geoff, keep it up. 👍
Oh, and F the haters.
(I'm the dude from Fakebook that compliment you for taking your lovely granddaughter on a grandpa/granddaughter date.) 😁
Thanks for that 🤣😁
@BealyGood you're welcome sir.
👍
You are a good guy, if I was in North Carolina I would love to meet you
Have u ever seen grotto rock pools? they look awesome
Geoff you better half showed off how far things was Earlier in the week on her live feed.
She had to bring dog dog out to supervise the work being done, and to make sure all was being done to her liking.
I got a big laugh when she put the blanket on the seat for Dog Dog and she went the part of the seat not covered.😂😂😂
By the way Dog Dog wanted to know when the foundation is going is for the 4 season pool house and the 15 ft high dive?
Didn't Chris say that the left wall would have to be adjusted? I think he did.
great update, thanks for sharing your experience and knowledge, can't wait to see the next video 👏👏👏👏👏👌👌👌👌👌👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks for watching!
Hey bg good day sir! The pool is taking shape ! And you know dp used to build icf homes! So ask him for tips and tricks as well!
I am really liking these videos of this massive project. I didn't hear you say anything going wrong in the last video. Did I miss something?
Mr Bealy Good - Sir…. like a few others I’m a bit confused as why the wall had to be reset - I understand that the mix was too wet. Doesn’t really matter I really enjoy all the videos and the trials and tribulations that you have. Take care and stay safe.
It bowed in the bottom wall
@@BealyGood ah ok that explains it - well it’s all a learning experience and as you say you’re making all the mistakes on your own property so you can be more cost effective and efficient when you build other projects. I’m sure you’ll have many future customers as a result of this build. Great content as always.
You are epic!
hey hey what you mean see us on the next one. It was just getting all comfy in my arm chair what is this some cliff hanger lol. Man im really enjoying this pool build its so cool to see it coming together. I want to be an arm chair quaterback but well i dont know a thing about what your doing so ill just enjoy the arm chair lol. Keep up the hard work.
Don’t worry, neither do most of the ones that comment their advice 🤣🤣
I'll take the #4 pucker kit, please!
You're doing fine but I missed what the problem was with the earlier pour. I heard Chris mention that he thought the concrete was going to be dry. Did the wet mixture bulge in the bottom? Thanks for the video.
Yes bulge in bottom. Mentioned in earlier comment replies.
Yes
Chris maid a comment while pouring the concrete about it was suppost to be a dry pour.
If you never make mistakes, you never learn!
That's so true . . . and then there's the saying that "If you aren't making mistakes you're not doing anything!"
I like your comment about the armchair quarterbacks. They are the ones that would be looking for serious help if they tried to do what you are doing
@10:25 You are talking about the concrete not being right, but you didn't actually say what the issue was. Concrete was wetter than expected. What impact did that have? What problem was created by it being too wet?
Too wet. Bulged the bottom
A drier mix can be levelled but doesn't 'flow' like a wetter mix does.
When it's done y you got start on the next one. How many you got lined up.
Let the boo birds and nay sayers have their day. It fuels them….what you get out of it, is the PhD in personal experience. Education has a price. I’ll bet there are many [Notes to self] that will not get overlooked when you prepare for the next one.
I cannot stress enough just how pleased it made me to see you reveal the mishap on that one wall without bearing down in a blame/shame game. A point of clarification would be nice….I’ve seen a comment that makes it seem that the poster thought you lost some width or length of your deep pool but it is my feeling that you simply shifted everything into the existing over-dig to keep it the same. Curious if that move impacts the shallow pool any.
Keep it coming…love your channel !
Correct, we just shifted it. Well most likely just shift the upper too. Thanks 😊
I had to check, according to goggle maps New Orleans to Zebulon, NC by car is 826 miles (1329 kms) taking ≈13 hours 25 mins. That is long haul even by American standards.
time is irrelevant
depending on whether the distance was covered logically or maniacally.
826 in less than eight.
I know I've set speed records a to b,
from here to there, and back again, to and fro and up and down.
Lotta' highway out there still...
Have you ever seen the advertisement by the Plumbers that says: "We fix what your husbands break"!
🤣🤣🤣
I was once told bye my by my tradesman brother-inlaw the man who said he never made a mistake "Never made anything" which i never forgot
Loved your comment about the armchair quarterbacks and telling them to make a video and send it to you if they don’t know how to edit because you are absolutely right, if those who know would share their knowledge instead of using it to sling insults there would be a lot less mistakes made by those of us who don’t have the experience that they do.
👍
Armchair Quarterbacks !! lolololol... I love it Geoff, I have been all ears and eyes on everything since you was talking about these systems. I have been taking in every little thing i can about it, ya never know when ya may come across a build like this or what have ya, and are able to say, "Yeah" I have seen this done before !! ya know.. I'm really diggin' it, and really enjoy learning something new !! Hope your "Guru" has everything back on track for ya Man. Just a small snag, it will all turn out Great !! Have a Great Afternoon Man !! And, Great Video...
We know them as Bar Stool Experts ( BSE ) 🤣
I like that!
Like I always tell people.. .. "If you don't make a mistake , you will never learn anything" ... If you try to do something you have a 50 / 50 chance of succeeding. If you don't try you have 100% chance of not succeeding .
In your effort not to blame anyone, I don't understand exactly what went wrong? Have fun with your monthly nut to crack, pool electric bill. I think I was the 1st one to bring up the concept of slump with regard to concrete pours. Your problem was that the concrete pump truck guys like it looser so it pumps easier, you were fighting an obstinate pump truck protocol.
Bingo
You never gave an explanation to why or how the wall/concrete pore went wrong. What happened? The concrete should have been dry? Why and what (if used) would have changed? Does it make the wall stronger? It doesn't damage the ICF blocks? It didn't hold its form? The concrete didn't dry fast enough? It doesn't make sense to me what went wrong? Please explain. Thanks.
The videos will catch up with explanation. I’m not sure when. Two or three videos from now. This was just a poor for a plug. Had nothing really to do with the ICF. But I’ll get into it.
Cool...Love the channel...Thanks@@BealyGood
