Glad to see you finally got a rake! Once you get used to it, you'll never go back to clearing with a bucket. I've been clearing with a rake for years on a PC290, and it's the best investment I ever made.
I also use it to dig stumps (even huge oak stumps) and you can get a stump out quicker and cleaner with a rake than you ever could with a bucket. Plus you can get all the near surface traveler roots out at the same time without disturbing so much soil. I bet you'll also find the rake is a better stumper than the "stumper" attachment you already have.

  • @AquaPeet

You can even stack the stumps into Barney's bed much better now you're not fighting the machines lifting and grabbing power or toppling over due to the weight!

Besides what Chris mentioned, I'd say this attachment would be great for dredging, landscaping as in placing big rock for retaining walls, perfect for laying culvert up to 48'' diameter, ideal for demolition work and loading demo-materials in a dump truck or full length logs on a trailer. It's definitely a good investment, I can see this as being more efficient with increased versatility. I would imagine it would be perfect for lifting stacked mud mats or laying out bigger stones for rip-rap.
We approve Chris, now hurry up and put this thing to work so we can get our money back.

The new AMI Graptor Rake accents the true power of the new 350. The 220 struggles with picking up those stumps by the tree base and the 350 with the new rake picked the first stump (well over a 1000 Lbs) with one tooth of the thumb gripping it. This will be a game changer for you, especially when you get the finessh part of that rack down pat. Great tool.

This system eliminates the need for a feller head if you need to do whole tree harvesting. Though if you had to clear a lot of land, then another machine with the feller head would make bucking easier. You just set it up to the side to cut tree into suitable, even length logs after Chris machine digs them out and skids them.

I expected this Graptor to be the new toy... The one thing that I've heard from AMI's site.. because the thumb is part of the bucket.. you use the thumb to release... moving/uncurling the bucket takes the thumb with it... I can agree with the rake for you who already have a bucket (and I woudl not be surprised for bigger buckets later).. and this looks from what I see here... you're getting more brush because it's not a bucket..Seems you enjoy it.. something tells me if you really love it. we may see one for the 220's too... though they already have thumbs

  • @MikeGetsItDone

  • @kennypridemore5466

Took a closer look at the thumb and it still needs to move more out of the way , but as far as thumb width, possibly just add a tooth on either side would give it more control as far as controlled grabing power

Jam a couple of those logs in at the bottom and when you burn 🔥 pull them out for a rocket stove effect.

Great looking machine. I still love the 330 too. Miss seeing it. Wish "V" would have stepped up sooner. Bealy Good was right the day Chris brought the 330 home lol.

He said that when he was looking for a larger machine Volvo didn't have anything in inventory. It takes a long time from ordering a machine to receiving it. Companies that are ordering machines 15 or 20 at a time will usually come first. As quickly (relatively) as this came along Volvo may have jumped him ahead in line.
