i love peter's golden road win with the dodge viper. that's an awesome dream car.
I've wondered how the biggest winner in Daytime TPIR has progressed over time. In the 70s, it was rare for someone to win more than $10k. I recently saw a video from I think it was 1984 where the showcase was worth over $34k and Bob commented that it was the most expensive showcase in the history of TPIR.
I've wondered as well. Thanks to The Barker Era channel we're able to see some of the older records

Whoa! That’s one of the few instances where contestant win a car without drawing a strike! It happened several times in the Bob Barker era.
