Looks like an awesome system and it's fantastic that you've been able to add it to your extensive collection. It's pleasing to see that there is a great selection of games on it too. Can't wait to see the video where you open that bad boy up. :-)
Thanks once again for sharing something cool from your collection. It would be interesting to see if you can 'engineer' an adapter to use standard super famicom games in this device. (something along the lines of a NES/Famicom adapter) I don't think I have ever seen anyone attempt something like that, but if anyone can pull it off, I would bet that it would be you.
I like that font based loading graphic, wish old computer games had those. Yeah SMB2 JAP is so hard, you can tell the designers tried to make it as difficult as possible since everything you do has to be done perfectly the first time through. Cruel, perfect adjective for SMB2 JAP. ^_^ Very cool, can't wait to see inside. :D
Apparently just a cheap HD camera would do the job of recording it without the lines. It's basically the reverse of using an SD camera on an HD screen that is the fix for it.
thanks for the demo. I know that i have 3 of the 5 games (Mario Kart and Starfox on the SNES, and Super Mario All Stars on the Wii which is actually the SNES version but slightly modified for the wii)
I played something like this in a hotel with a N64 controller. It cost six bucks to play a couple games. They tracked your gameplay digitally, and added it to the hotel bill.
Damn! I hope this huge box isn't just packed with 5 games only! There have to be a way to load it with 20 times of what we saw so far! let 's pray it's compatible with the REAL SNES Games! Thanks a ton!
That is such a cool system! I know you love it! Don't ever get rid of it Bro! It makes me want to play Super Metroid! Are you going to switch some of the games out?
@toshineon yeah why not? =) i think you were suppost to find all the hidden yoshi eggs in the regular game to unlock the lost levels game, if i remember correctly.
I'm surprised by how long that machine takes to boot up given that it is effectively a Super NES with special game paks, I wouldn't have thought it would take that long to boot up, but I don't know too much about this system, in some ways it actually reminds me of the Wii as we know it, I mean on the Wii you can download lots of games and play them on the system. Clearly this things supports the Super FX chip, because of course Starwing uses it.
Those things must be so damn rare! How do you keep finding these things?? Hahaha well I guess you're always looking so you're bound to find this awesome stuff. But didn't you show us one of these before? I could have sworn you did! Hrm if not maybe that was Gamester81!
@wescoolya The full name is Super Nintendo Entertainment System in North America, that's why. Nintendo is the brand name of the company that makes it, not the console itself. And if you really want to be pedantic, the unit itself should be called a "Control Deck", not even a "SNES".
god damn this is seriously cool as fuck man. would love one of these hahah looking foward to seeing the insides once you manage to get into the tank of a thing :P
@sekretsu then why does it load, plus like how lukemorse1 said the carts aren't in this version (Version 1) but in others they are so we maybe both right
What is odd about that superfamibox 2 is that it doesn't have the extra pins on the cart slots to support games like sf or any games that use sa-1 chip.
I’m trying to get mine to save games. I’ve replaced the battery but it makes no difference. Does anyone know a way to get save files to stay after power off?
Oh wow - the hotel Famicom box system. Cool to see this in action. I've only read about these before.
It is really nice to see a japanese game and have someone tell you what it says.
Thank you! Can't wait to see what it looks like inside.
Drat, I wanted so badly to see the inside of that. Awesome video!
I just picked up Super Mario Kart and showed my son, it blew his 9 yr old mind.
That super mario 2 game is on the Super Mario collection for Wii and SNES as well, but it's called "Super Mario: The Lost Levels" outside of japan.
Looks like an awesome system and it's fantastic that you've been able to add it to your extensive collection. It's pleasing to see that there is a great selection of games on it too. Can't wait to see the video where you open that bad boy up. :-)
Ah, you finnaly got a Super Famicom Box! Very excellent man!
cool system man. hope to see the inside of it soon
Yay, 2 new videos on my birthday! Thanks Luke!
Very cool. I love game systems and accessories that weren't made for the consumer public.

One of these on Ebay right now for $299.99... looks like it has some rust, but it does show it working.
I'd kill to see this piece of hardware emulated just for to generate interest in such a thing.

@TheMastaGlazy Yea the original all stars didnt have super mario world but they brought another edition out with super mario world.
The music and sound effects of the main menu sound like they were ripped straight out of Kirby's Dream Course.
Nice find Luke!
Looks great Luke.

If your camera lets you select the frame rate it shoots at, choose 60fps and should get rid of the bars when recording off a crt.
Excellent system! Of course I don't need to dust ff my SNES, I never unhook that masterpiece.
Damn! I hope this huge box isn't just packed with 5 games only! There have to be a way to load it with 20 times of what we saw so far! let 's pray it's compatible with the REAL SNES Games! Thanks a ton!
Sweet system dude.

Good to see she's a goer, will be interesting to see inside the beast :o(
Do they have xbox / ps3 equivalents of these these days?
Thats awesome! Is there a way to put more games on it, or does it just come with the 5?
I'm surprised by how long that machine takes to boot up given that it is effectively a Super NES with special game paks, I wouldn't have thought it would take that long to boot up, but I don't know too much about this system, in some ways it actually reminds me of the Wii as we know it, I mean on the Wii you can download lots of games and play them on the system. @toshineon it is also a hidden game in supermario deluxe for gbc.
i actually finnished it back in the days =)
Sweet!
You always have the best luck picking stuff up....lol
@wescoolya Because it's an abrieviation. People have been calling it the SNES for years.

Awesome system once again bro I want to play Mario Kart right now LOL
god damn this is seriously cool as fuck man. would love one of these hahah looking foward to seeing the insides once you manage to get into the tank of a thing :P
This track is also in Mario Cart ads
Cool device!! Shame you can only play these 5 games, but still they're cool!!
wierd i remeber that it had a coin box? or did the seller remove it?
Awesome!
The main menu music on this thing is from Mario RPG.
There is one currently being sold on eBay for $299.
do u ever see the super mario world snes game that was ported to nes. its super mario world but in 8 bit but looks awesome.
Dust off the old snes/sfc? I use my super famicon more than any other system I own other than maybe the Sega Saturn. It needs no dusting off.
@LiveToby Wow, didn't know that. Maybe time to dust off the old Gameboy and give it a go :)
@sekretsu then why does it load, plus like how lukemorse1 said the carts aren't in this version (Version 1) but in others they are so we maybe both right
Well, that does it, time to did up my copy of Star Fox! lol
DK ftw.
this thing is so sexy! I just recently started importing from Japan, my 1st purchase was Mother 2 complete, any advice?
Magic mushrooms really do have there downfalls after all!
How much did you spend on it?
no 100 in 1 carts on snes then?
What is odd about that superfamibox 2 is that it doesn't have the extra pins on the cart slots to support games like sf or any games that use sa-1 chip.
love starfox for snes
I have done the exact same thing several times too bad there isn't a mulligan button or an oops my bad or so sorry button
then uh, switch your vote. that's a thing you can do.
How much did you pay for it
it's probably a hdd (Hard Disk Drive) with a emulator built in
Hey i need RUclips help how can I contact u ? My super famicom box ac adopter die I need the stack volt a output of the v core transformer
I’m trying to get mine to save games. I’ve replaced the battery but it makes no difference. Does anyone know a way to get save files to stay after power off?
@brtshstel why do you say snes?? Its Super Nintendo! I hate when people call it that!
Super Mario Collection doesn't come with Super Mario World? That's pretty lame
@joshhsega segas dead now
