I loved to watch this and the honest positive feedback, the wax zero is basically most Organic and with Zero perfume. ( if you love a scent in the product By Vilain Revolution will come the closest to wax zero with a sporty fresh scent) Best Regards Rasmus
Ah, that's for watching! I love the minimal scent in wax zero, as I like to choose which fragrance to wear so don't want my hair product scent clashing or being too strong. Wax zero really is a great product 👏🏻
Had to come back to this to say thanks. Literally been Da Dude for years now and went to get some and found there was none left. Didn't expect to go on the RUclips search and find a video on the hair stuff on your channel Steve, trusting your fragrance reviews, I've given the Vilain a go and really happy with it!
Ah. I'm really pleased! 😃 Wax Zero is great, and much nicer to use than Da Wax. I'm currently using O'Douds Dry Wax and really liking it. It's weird as it holds but is also really reworkable. Might do a video on it....
@@EverymanFragrances yeah, the hold of da dude is something else. My hair needs a strong hold, so I've just stuck with it, but despite this not being as strong it's doing ok
Beer/ wine Hair styling Clothes Fragrances Pretty sure that’s my order of spending over the years. When I was younger o spent so much on different hair products for styling. I used everything from cheap get to different pomades (black and white pomade smelt amazing bit left my hair far too shiny). I used Dax wave and groom which destroyed my hair it was that thick. Could never shampoo it out but my hair did not move. Now I use a VO5 rework putty or clay if I’m going out. Easy in and leaves a nice Matt finish. Finish with half a bottle of hairspray. Enjoyed the change on video - keep them coming.
Really useful video. I might have to give that last one a whirl although I’ve always been happy with VO5 Matt Clay. I’ve tried others but keep coming back to it!
I use either Fish or Uppercut. I've got the Uppercut matte powder. It's okay, doesn't work great with my hair because I've got proper thick hair. But i would imagine it would be decent for someone who hasn't got hair like mine.
Yeah, mine is really thick too. Fish products were my go-to before I started getting into the pricier home brew type products. Was a pain though as used to have to go to Boots specifically to get hair stuff.
Have you tried Stickmore Clay Fiber or Lockhart's Nevermore? Both have great hold and endurance, and they're the only clay products I've noticed that help swell the hair to make it fuller, which I think is what your hair needs to go from okay to great.
No. I nearly tried Lockhart's anti-gravity after it was in a kaigroomed Matt paste video but not tried any of theirs. The nevermore looks good! May have to try it...
@@EverymanFragrances It is strong but it's not present, if that makes sense. Doesn't project that much, and after half an hour or so I don't pick it up anymore. Smells like a mixture of something sweet, mildly fruity with the clay smell. Strangely, I've found the scent turns a little bit as the jar sits and the water evaporated. It smells a little lighter and fresher at first, but it starts to take on a musty undertone over time. I had a sample from another jar that this happened with too. It must have been a very old jar because it smelled of all mustiness and nothing else. It was disgusting but it performed so brilliantly I ended up buying my current jar.
I swear by Gummy hair gel, which works brilliantly for thick hair. Most high street gel is for thin/delicate hair - and my hair isn’t that. Gummy is a favourite among barbers - I buy mine at the barbers, in fact
Uh huh. Schilling for Big Wax!! Have you tried the clays and fibers? My hair is so thick and uncontrollable i found wax only lasts like half the day. I think the clays are more rigid but they will hold everything in place all day.
Have you tried the da wax? I'd be very surprised if that doesn't give you all day hold! I've tried some clays. In my hair I find they are very good for texture but not hold. They work better when my hair is short but when it's longer I get no hold ☹️
So excited to see a video like this from you. My pomade addiction was the catalyst that eventually led me to my fragrance journey. Loads of brand out there the check out. Lockhart’s, Shear Revival, Templetons Tonics, and Odouds all make great products. I highly recommend either Templetons Odin Hair Wax or O’Douds Dry Wax. If you prefer wax products.
Cheers mate. I'd like to do more videos like this as I enjoy watching this sort of content myself and I like testing the products. I've come so close to pulling the trigger on o'douds stuff before, particularly the Matt paste. But never have for some reason. Worth trying?
@@EverymanFragrances their matte paste isn’t bad but if you want a real good paste I would try Shear Revivals Northern Lights. Best matte paste I’ve ever used personally.
Again, I've heard so much about northern lights. Watched videos and read reviews. There was a reason I didn't buy it and I can't remember why. Trouble is with hair stuff it's all blind buys!

@@EverymanFragrances I agree, the scent from the hair product, should not be stealing the attention =D

Just read someone commented nevermore has a strong smell?

Really like your approach to your review mate and subscribed on the strength of it . Be lucky 👊
Ah, thank you! Much appreciated. I'd like to do more content like this but my subscriber base aren't used to it haha.
