I still remember a particular censorship move Matt and Trey had to do for the South Park Movie. Basically, they were told that if the movie had 400 or more swears, the movie's rating would go up, which they couldn't do because Comedy Central wanted it to stay at a certain rating. How many swears did Matt and Trey included in the movie's script? Exactly 399 swears.
The funny thing is, many of the murricans who watched it were all like, "Yeah blame Canada!" When it was really the American's fault because *they* let their kids watch a movie that was inappropriate that just happened to be from Canada. They really didn't get the message at all. Kind of like rooting for Gaston in Beauty and the Beast because he was strong and handsome, and even when Beast turned back into a prince he wasn't that hot.

Fun fact about South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut: The movie also challenged the MPAA in nearly every facet. The movie was originally called “South Park: All Hell Breaks Loose”, but the MPAA didn’t like the title having the word “hell” in it. So Matt Stone and Trey Parker changed it to “Bigger, Longer and Uncut,” which the MPAA allowed before they figured out what it *really* meant. The movie also challenged the amount of profanity in movies, since a movie with 400 or more swear words would have been given an NC-17 rating. To circumnavigate this predicament, the creators set the curse word count to a whopping 399 as a subtle insult to the MPAA.
Personally I think Cannibal Holocaust should of been used over Blair Witch since that was a found footage style movie that came out first and even got the director into legal trouble, along with the real animal deaths

South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut had a lot of struggles with making the movie at the time with not just boycotting before and after release. Deleted scenes and scripts/songs that were either too far figuratively or literally, scheduling difficulties while working on the show, the struggles with getting a NC-17 rating just so the movie can have enough freedom to say a lot more else WEEKS before releasing (they wanted the movie to be the most explicit, and they were in a fit of rage every time trying to convince the MPAA to do it), and even Trey and Matt felt ashamed on how very badly influenced the show already was during that summer. However, this movie went by many struggles and still became one of the best animated movies I've ever seen. Where is cannibal holocaust? The creator of that movie was sent to court because some people thought he killed real people in the film. He also tortured and killed real animals.
Trey Parker and Matt Stone are masters at walking the line between the funniest jokes ever and the most offensive sentiments ever. The South Park movie is a great example but their other movie, Team America: World Police, is just as, if not, more controversial (and funny)
I remember going to watch the joker with my family to the theaters and security was stacked they were outside patrolling inside the lobby and even in the movie it was a very artistic film and I'm glad no one got hurt during the screening of the film
The Joker movie was SO controversial, its own creator decided to tear it down to pieces with the sequel where among other things: *SPOILER ALERT* Arthur is now depicted entirely as a loser with delusions of grandeur, is revealed to have faked his joker persona, and at the end he's stabbed and killed by a crazy inmate that then carves a smile on his own face, hinting that this crazy rando at the end of the movie was the REAL joker all along.
I’m generally very skeptical of more recent trends in literary analysis to put less emphasis on authorial intent, because I’m often rather anxious that some delusional literature professor or journalist is going to either misunderstand whatever I write or focus so much on unnecessary details that they feel confident in suggesting I’m writing about something that I in no way would ever write about, and then justify their warped understandings by saying something like “art is subjective” or whatever. That being said, I have no sympathy for Todd Philips here. He knew what he was making and should have just went with it.
Cant say for the movie, but the comic V for Vendetta is based on (of the same name) was written by Alan Moore whose goal with it was intentionally for V to be morally ambiguous. Is he a freedom fighter or just a crazy guy? That’s the question he wanted to be asked
I think you Blair Witch confused with Cannibal Holocaust. (Which was the original found footage horror and predated Blair witch by like 20 years) Nobody thought Blair was real but the director CH was actually arrested and tried for the murder of his actors and had to show that they were alive in court.
How V for Vendetta handled a fascist government is exactly how we should handle fascist governments in real life. When the people have exhausted all other means of protest, anti-state violence essentially becomes self-defence.
Should probably include for some of those movies, like South Park for instance, that the intended message behind the movie was absolutly spot on correct. If you attempt to censor something simply because it offends you, you only give ammunition to those who would use it to offend you. I.E. Cartman's V-chip powers. Similar can be said for some of the others. The Interview is a good example of this in the reverse, because while sure it would probably be a good idea to not poke the bear... that bear doesn't even have actual claws to begin with. Yet look how easily they were able to censor companies and such just by threatening them. But it never stopped the censored product from being viewed. Everyone who wanted to watch it, just pirated it instead, as requested by the creators. So once again, censorship just did more harm than good, and was thwarted regardless. And frankly, in most of if not nearly all of the other cases, it was proven in some way or another that the people who wanted to censor said movies, were only doing it because of how it made them feel about some subject or another. And frankly, that's the point of controversial subject matters. To make you think about the subject. It doesn't matter if you are offended by it or not, because the intent is to get the grey matter working on the topic at hand. The exorcist was to show how silly something like exocism is. The day after was to show how silly MAD was. The Blair witch showed how easily people can be duped. Joker showed that there are many in our society who can identify with Fleck. V for Vendetta is similar in nature to Joker. Once again, showing that people can identify with V. But also showing that the awareness of how corrupt our governments can and even have become is more general than people once thought. The only two that may actually deserve the attempts on censorship, are probably Innocence and Inglorious. Innocence because there was no attempt at giving any charity towards the subject matter; and Inglorious because it ultimately did make light of things that should not be made light. But even then, they accomplished the intent of showing why things perhaps shouldn't be censored. Because you wouldn't know that people have those thoughts about those things in the first place, and therefore no discussion on how best to handle those situations can occur. Free speech is a tricky thing. It absolutely can go too far. But curtailing it can also go too far as well, especially when done by those who frankly, barely deserve to speak at all at times. But still, the freedom of speech is afforded to them as well, as it would not be fair to curtail one just because another is offended, possibly by things that they aren't even righteous to be offended about in the first place. Example? Let's go back to the Interview. Kim Jung Un has no right to be offended about that movie, when he constantly pumps propaganda about how he's going to use nukes against anyone who doesn't obey him, send food aid, etc. Likewise, the religious have no right to be offended by movies that rightfully point out how silly some of their beliefs are. Exorcist is a good example of this being the case, where Innocence is perhaps a better example of where that goes too far, and so now the offended do have some legitimacy to their offense. But even then, they still do not have the right to tell others what they can or cannot do outside of the borders of the host nation of that religion. I have no reason to depict their spiritual leader, but I also should not have to obey the laws of people who do not rule me either. Any argument otherwise, is just playing into the authoritative hand of those who would use their influence to curtail free speech and in that particular case, free expression. Note however, I am coming at this from the Canadian angle of free speech, and the other rights and freedoms afforded by the piece of paper known as our Charter of Rights and Freedoms. Simply, it all boils down to what is considered reasonable. But that's the trick of it. What is reasonable to those who are unreasonable, yet not understood as such yet by those who might be reasonable? And that's why speech must be free in its action, even if we don't like it sometimes. It allows us something to use as a subject to discuss the topic, provided everyone involved is being at least as reasonable as they can muster. Again, free speech is a tricky thing, but it's not something we should ever curtail just to appease some person or group. There are limits for some things that could be said, absolutely, but those limits are not up to any one person or group either. It's up to all of us to agree first on what those limits should be. Again, hence why it's so tricky.
If an entire Nuclear war was averted by a single movie, then a mere documentary about what’s going on in the world now could potentially start world peace if it somehow passes the censorship
If I remember correctly the Blair Witch was mostly unscripted. When the tent was shaken every night, it was the directors and other crew members. When they are fleeing into the night at one point, Heather yells ‘What the fuck was that?’ But we never see it. That was director Eduardo Sanchez running around with panties over his head.
Ammo the only one who couldn’t get all the way through the video because of all the corny comparisons? “It’s like if-“ “It’s as if-“ “It would be like if-“
With the Joker film, Sure you empathize with him, Because that is the natural response, But it doesn't mean what he does is right. What he does is still wrong and still against the law, And he definitely needs to be put to justice for it!
It feels like these days people simultaneously call for more empathy and less empathy for others, depending on the speaker’s personal preferences. I think the characterization of Fleck is important as a way to humanize him, because after all it could have been anybody.
I think you need to work on your analogies, because Kim Jong Un would most assuredly not be the Principal of the same school. I think it’d be closer (in your given analogy) to pranking the superintendent of a rivaling school district.
The Day After? Disney. Watch _Threads_ if you really want to be terrified by nuclear war. Inglourious Basterds is a brilliant movie, and that comes from someone who detests everything else Quentin Tarantino ever made. You have to understand that Tarantino himself described it as happening in an alternate timeline, so no, it isn't historically accurate, and nor does it need to be. The Blair Witch Project is the first and worst of the 'found footage' genre. It makes me seasick as well as boring me rigid. The Exorcist? A friend of Prince Charles immolated himself after seeing that. For me, I've had scarier dreams (good ones, at that). And it's Ree-gan, not Reagan. Don't confuse the poor kid in the film with the 1980s US President. The Interview was OK, but only OK. You do know that's exactly what "Airing someone's dirty laundry" means? The rest, I can't comment on as I haven't seen them (and don't want to).

Cannibal Holocaust and human centipede were already in one of the previous controversial movies video
THE INTERVIEW LETSFUCKINGGOOOOOOOO!!
My favorite movie
If you don’t want to see over-the-top gore and an alternate timeline of historical events, why would you watch Quentin Tarantino movies?
The only thing I hated about "The Blair Witch Project" was it showed studios and producers that "Reality" entertainment was profitable.
Hey hey, can you please make a part two because there’s so many movies you’re leaving out like Carrie
Fun fact: that's the photo for Ali who is the son in law of Prophet Mohammed
And this is why I don't listen to critics when it comes to movies.
V is the ultimate gentleman and I want a husband like him
Inglorious bastards is truly one of my favorite movies lmao
where Hostel and Serbian Film?
And Human Centipede, as well.
Huge fan, hopefully you get to 10 Million subs soon ❤
Where is cannibal holocaust? The creator of that movie was sent to court because some people thought he killed real people in the film. He also tortured and killed real animals.
I've seen most of these. I own copies of most of them. I knew "Inglorious Bastards" was fiction but still enjoyed a single watch.
There’s a huge difference between empathizing with what a character is going through and justifying their actions based on it.
35% movie's controversy explaining 65% analogies
Most of these are pretty good movies.
4:48 This was [expletive redacted] blasphemous. And I’m a Christian.
Thank you 🙏❤️
Apreciate it man 😊😊
The character V was right, and more ever so.
So these guys depict the prophet at 4:42. That's not going to go well.
Even though I'm pretty sure that's imam hussein and not Muhammad
This is imam Ali that some Shias use but as a Shia myself and others too we don’t use these images
The Joker movie was SO controversial, its own creator decided to tear it down to pieces with the sequel where among other things:
*SPOILER ALERT*
Arthur is now depicted entirely as a loser with delusions of grandeur, is revealed to have faked his joker persona, and at the end he's stabbed and killed by a crazy inmate that then carves a smile on his own face, hinting that this crazy rando at the end of the movie was the REAL joker all along.
Wat
Cant say for the movie, but the comic V for Vendetta is based on (of the same name) was written by Alan Moore whose goal with it was intentionally for V to be morally ambiguous. Is he a freedom fighter or just a crazy guy? That’s the question he wanted to be asked
V for Vendetta is just a Great movie tho… favorite romance too
South park was never meant to be for kids... This controverse is completely dumb.
I watched v for vendetta it was an interesting watch and I think there was a second one as well that I watched also
I think you Blair Witch confused with Cannibal Holocaust.
"The Blair Witch Project" was far from the first. "Cannibal Holocaust" was and did it better.
I am a simple person. I see south park, I click
Team America is way worst than south park
8:33 Really? Because I've seen that movie 167 times, and it gets funnier every time!
Beetlejuice 1 reference!!!! I LOVE YOU
I could only imagine the horror on the front office workers faces the first night the Excorist watching people run out of the theatre in fear lmfao
You forgot Borat, great movie btw
Whoa! Did Seth Rogen just lost some weight?? 😲
"Controversial movies" are always heavily promoted by the meanstream media.
The movie threads is a lot darker and frightening
South Park is so unhinged 😭
matt and trey had to submit the movie 7 seven times to the MPAA because it kept getting a nc-17 rating
Please do a second and put Borat in it
V for Vendetta traumatized tf out of me tbh
The day after actually saved the world???
im watching all of these
Ah yes, south park movie bad children shouldn't watch this filth
Meanwhile southpark being NOT for children
Joker shows us the reality of life
Should mention innocence of Muslims never actually came out it was just the trailer.
Hey Analyst
When will you review the Postal Franchise?
12:14
ok what do you *expect* from a South Park movie?
Ammo the only one who couldn’t get all the way through the video because of all the corny comparisons?
“It’s like if-“
“It’s as if-“
“It would be like if-“
I remember watching the innocence of Muslims and man it was so funny 😂
Joker 2 is even more controversial than the first 😂😂
4:41 that is NOT Prophet Muhammad
12:55 who love this man
With the Joker film, Sure you empathize with him, Because that is the natural response, But it doesn't mean what he does is right.
4:47 what the hell
Why did you show a face....
To represent Muhammad
@@aquilesca5tr0but that's not even the prophets face 🤦
@@opal___ It isn't his face because it is a picture that represents his face.
@aquilesca5tr0 that's not even him nor is it representing his face 🤦 in fact that's not even what he looks like!
Add terrifier 3 it’s making people throw up
Love this channel lol
Jimmy is probably 100% sausages because he eats them in nearly all of his videos
