      @@johnh8705 most you'll get is EBT. Maybe unemployment if you're lucky its hard out here for anybody homeless but for a man? From experience it's damn near mission impossible you have no idea the amount of preconceived notions you have to deal with I was just a regular working Joe last week now that I'm homeless I'm just a drug addicted savage (alcoholism and paycheck to paycheck living got me here.....2020 was a crazy time for a lot of people)

    they wouldn't be sleeping there if kasim Reed did not close down the homeless shelters. ever since that crooked mayor close down the homeless shelters. And put all these people on the street and claimed they had diseases. There has been so many homeless living in the train station and on the street you're supposed to help people. not put them on the street and it was not the city of Atlanta that was taken care of the homeless shelter. He claimed that he wanted the building to turn into a fire station and on till now that building is still vacant. and former mayor Reed is under investigation but a whole slew of laws that he broke while being mayor. Including handing out contracts to friends at Atlanta Airport. giving jobs to family using citizens money to pay his brothers water bill while everybody else is water is being shut off. Giving unauthorized pay raises so the employees of Atlanta which day were rescinded. But you have people out here homeless and starving. as you see the rich get richer and the poor will always stay poor and he's still under investigation.

    This is has been topic of discussion for years and the problems get worse with the homeless because the true cause is not been addressed, mental illness and health! 90% of the people who are homeless are suffering from mental health issues or drug illnesses! Until America see this as the problem first and began to help those with these issues the problem is going to continue to grow

      Right you’re absolutely right there is no help for the mentally ill out there I lived out there forever and when I moved out to Denver, there is a lot of homeless here however, they offer housing. They offered all kinds of mental health services and help that you just don’t get back there and I think it’s really sad. I think it’s very sad.

    Public housing doesnt solve the problem..We need more quality jobs theirs too many low paying jobs that can't keep up with the housing... Georgia state minimum wage is $5.15 the fuck is that? You can't even buy a tacobell combo with that...

      Although that is part of the problem, just raising the hourly rate won't fix it. We need to fix the whole economy. Tax the rich yes, the fact that the rich are getting richer while poverty is increasing says something.

    So many judge the homeless. That angers me. Yes many need to be held accountable for their actions. However, these are still "HUMAN BEINGS". I give to any of them as much as I can, and I don't do it for everyone to see either. I do it from the heart, and because I have love and GOD in my heart. If they take the money and do bad stuff with it, I pray they don't, and I tell them to "do good", I'm ok because I know I gave with good intentions, and it's on them if they choose to do bad with it.

    One major problem is even when getting help the homeless have no way of building credit or getting on there feet. The federal government has law in place you can not get bank account or credit building credit card or small loans without residential address. So even if homeless want to better they’re self, they can’t due to this law. No a PO Box or PMB is not residential address and won’t work

      The number one reason for being homeless is loss of family . Be compassionate please , some served America to only be abandoned

    • @oneperson5760
      @oneperson5760 2 года назад

      @@sarahbruce4397 , it seems that a lot of that 'loss of family' is because that homeless person had mental illness or substance abuse issues. When they alienate themselves from family because they have uncivil behavior like lying, stealing, assault, no work ethic, they become more than family can deal with and it breaks the family relationship. They often do it to themselves by taking advantage of family members until nobody can stand to be around them anymore. It's very sad, but they choose to be that way. How can you help a person who won't help themselves and doesn't want to change, doesn't want to give up the substance addiction or seek mental help?
