I got a 95 special edition and it’s slow but they are still super fun. The fact that u can select gears it’s what makes it more fun and the handling is pretty good for zooming around the backroads

Used to have a 99 integra automatic. Sometimes that car was gutless at overtaking, it didn’t always downshift, had to downshift it like a manual. We used to have a 97 and my dad got in a very bad wreck in it. He hit a forklift at 70-60 mph and the car flew a few feet in the air. He was okay though got out walking. That happened 7 years ago.

My 1994 auto teggy sedan is b16 swapped with vtec and can accelerate pretty quickly for what its worth its still a really fun car to drive. Im lucky to have gotten it as my first car its really been a fantastic experience

daily a 1995 auto Integra LS sedan. its slow lol but saves me on fuel i commute 96 miles a day and as you have noticed fuel cost in 2021 is ridiculously high. keep the toys in the garage for nice days and truck for bad weather.

@@dabbs041 I actually started to learn manual but I shouldn’t have done it with a stage 2 clutch and with a Prelude. I feel as though I’m just going to buy a shitbox and just learn from there. I already also bought my Integra and am working on repairing some of the parts it broke down with atm and new parts. Got the coilovers done, got my motor mounts (need to install) but overall I think it wasn’t a bad purchase.
@@suliichan I hope its still running good for you. I bought my Teggy in 2013 for $850 and have put in about $2K in the past 8 years from general repairs. That includes oil changes, all new belts, new tires, and a new exhaust since the old one rusted and fell off when I was driving it down the street one day. The great thing about the Teggy is that a lot of the repairs you can do from home, which I do. With some good TLC, they can go a long way.

@@suliichan gotcha. Yeah, I remember having a missfire on mine too a few years ago. I replaced the spark plugs and spark plug wires and that fixed the issue. Then just last year my car was losing a lot of power until one day I was driving down the road and it crapped out on me. Turns out it was the ignition coil. I self diagnosed all these issues myself, doing the labor myself, and watching the car come back to life is an incredible feeling after a good days work. I hope your mods serve you well. These cars are old, but they can be reliable if treated well.
I like it, who cares about it being fast as long as it looks and sounds good, you got the sound already....tint the windows and tail lights put some H.I.D's then being it down with some coils.....oh and even a cheap turbo would help with the sluggishness 🤏
Had a Thunder Gray 1994 Integra RS with the auto tranny as my first car. Wasn't the fastest car, but it was easily greatest combination of a car that gets good gas mileage, is fun to drive and easy to work on. Miss that little car.🙁
they are much better than automatic single cam cars lol. But really with an automatic, they aren't bad as regular commuter cars. Though I found my old automatic to feel "faster" with the stock intake vs a short ram.
I haven't done a crazy amount of testing with the short ram intake, but that's definitely believable. It does feel slightly quicker since I threw on the short ram intake.
My 94 Integra RS automatic was actually faster than my 94 Integra ls manual with exact same mods,(intake,headers,testpipe,full catback) but only with the automatic u hv to hv it in drive3 mode so in top end it stays in 4th gear all the way up to 120mph because with manual non vetech motors u lose that compression in 5th gear. It to mention those Integra auto transmissions can take alot of abuse
That's the reason why that Integra is going slow is because it has like 300K on its engine when a new engine that is only 50,000 can only cost $350 only... My car gets an upgrade after 150k so I buy these motors all the time from Japan
I would love to race another Integra or a similar honda car lol. I own a Acura Integra GSR 01 5 speed manual transmission. She goes pretty damn fast if you get a solid launch. My friend has beaten a Camero before lol and I've won against some Mustangs. Such a fun car to drive. I've taken her to 150 mph on a straight away. She also gotten me pulled over 3 times and 2 of them I got a ticket 🤷♂️
For an older car , it runs nicer than my 06 Sentra 1.8s , and it has a lot better front and rear stock suspension , as specially the front one. And they last for ever !!!!!!!! Not much to complain about for a car this age .

I think with the bigger engines like the 2.2 and 2.4 like what’s in the Honda accords then the automatic transmissions are actually half decent with the get up and go but with the smaller engines like the 1.6s and 1.8s that’s in the civics and integras you really need a 5 speed standard to get them going good, but I mean shit any Integra is still a nice ride in my opinion, their comfortable, they handle like a dream, extremely good MPG and super reliable.

The best car for inexperienced drivers are: any Honda Fit w/auto and the HR-v w/auto. Of course you could find a 20 - 30 Honda or Acura with an auto. The point is, kids will speed up to the max MPH and parents need to make sure that it does not happen fast.

I bought an auto LS for $175, got totaled 2 years, biggest POS I ever drove, engine was only firing on 3 cylinders, but even with that still the most reliable car I’ve owned. I replaced it with a 99 3000gt SL now but I still miss that integra.

traditional old 4speed shitbox's torque converter heat up easier then manual or modern day automatic if you continuously force it up and down shifting in high loads , you can do it all the time , wont be a big problem unless youre boosting it , and remember to to the transmission fluid change

A nice header really makes some noticeable hp also if your looking to go fast just take out weight loss of weight is hp gained

it is also rust free. i would have to sandblast it than paint it tho since it has a bunch of parts from other cars. all in all no scratches or dents

traditional old 4speed shitbox's torque converter heat up easier then manual or modern day automatic if you continuously force it up and down shifting in high loads , you can do it all the time , wont be a big problem unless youre boosting it , and remember to to the transmission fluid change
