I actually have another view of this song all because of what my 13 yr old daughter had said while this had come on Satellite Radio when driving in the city the other day. She said, "dad.... this song is so sad". I actually stayed silent as the song played. I thought about it for a bit. Then I responded to my daughter, ya I guess it is. Now after reading into the lyrics while listening to it, I can see my daughter's take on the sadness that she feels and hears in this song. BTW my daughter is a lyric listener whereas I am more of a melody guy, and can not really hear lyrics to clearly in songs. Only after I look up the lyrics, I then know for sure what words are actually being said in a song. I too now feel sadness when I hear this song. Still love it the same, just differently now.

I hate this song. I was working as a software engineer in a dead-end company in Mexico City, a co-worker played this song in the office every time we worked overtime, my stress and sadness increased exponentially. It's a great song, but this one brings back terrible memories.
