- This was done for a film production class assignment that required us to make a "cinepoem" that made the audience feel some emotion.
So I decided to make my video using "Where is my Mind?" song and made the footage have a stark black and white.

Something about this song. Gives me chills every time I hear. First time I ever heard it I was 13 seeing Fight Club in theaters

The soundtrack of my life.
What I love about this is that no object or person you see on screen seems to be traveling in the same direction. And it's just enough to be chaotic, but just enough to also be choreographed. And that's freaking PERFECT for a piece of film that is cut to specific beats of a song. And I love all the tricks you used to show it. Somewhere around the 2:20 mark, there's a shot out the window of the flags and they're blowing in the wind against the direction of the car. That's freaking perfect with how the rest of the shots are constructed.
The shot of the feet moving up the steps is another one: I'm so glad you didn't overdo that.
With something as timeless as this song, especially, it's like trying to make a sketch of lightning in a bottle...but you've done it.

My very first proper gig abroad, Pixies live at the Guild Hall, Preston, England 06.10.1990.....still got the ticket, a present from my English cousins for my visit! Pixies totally rocked it that night!!!! Like your video btw, really good camera work and editing. Well done :)

Yes, my friend. You are correct.I'm really glad that fight club introduced alot of people to Pixies. Surfer Rosa came out in 1988 and had boobs on the cover. NOBODY and nobody else pulled that off. The first time i watched fight club, when it ended...my brain melted. I'd been rockin Pixies for years, and when i heard WIMM start...you get the point.
