- High Quality, edited, NOT from a cell phone, provided by the good people at Arlene's Grocery. Carey starts out by joking, "This is my new anthem," something you don't see in the viral video and an obvious reference to his recent video about Emma Stone. This was recorded September 9th. He does a great job!
The funny kid at school when he gets home.
this just hits different at 2am on a tuesday
He maybe smiling and acting goofy, but you can see in his eyes, he feels every word. Music isnt about perfection, its about expression. 10/10 for me
Singing isnt about being the "best singer" or singing perfect its about passion and soul. I loved it.
Why am i getting this 7 years later after it was posted
me:
People sense raw emotion. Jim slowly poured his heart into the performance. The crowd knew. So do we.
Heartbreaking...even though this video is 11 years old, you can feel his distress when he says " I'm a weirdo". Must be hard to live in the head of a genuis.
This sounds more like a confession than a cover song.
I dont care if he cant sing, this was like someone with a bleeding soul singing his heart out, well done jim, your only human after all.
I keep coming back to this cover because I feel like the way Jim sings it is the way that it is meant to be sung. It's meant to feel messy and a little silly and stupid, because those are the emotions that Yorke was feeling when he wrote the song. The way that he belts out the chorus just feels perfect. Perfectly human. Love this with all my soul
This performance was very good in a punk rock sort of way. As was said before he clowns around, but still conveys raw emotion that really sells the song. Truly this performance was far better than 90% of popular music today. If I’d heard this not knowing it was Jim Carey, I’d still have been interested to hear more.
I feel like this is probably the only song in the world where singing off key actually works.
For someone that isn’t a “singer” he killed it, put his heart and soul into it
At about
Creep is my favorite song. He’s my favorite actor. To see him singing this song & to see how meaningful it is to him really makes it special to watch.
Every comedian has a dark side inside .. and i love this
I gonna tell my kids this was Radiohead
Any legit musician knows what a beast this song is to sing. Several dynamic levels and various voices from tenor to falsetto.
It's strange that even when he sings badly and parodies, he can still break your heart.
