My mans Steve got an actual goddess to fall in love with him in like a week what a legend he went out way too soon
Michael Jackson at least he got some good sex before he died.
My mans deserves an award😆😆😆
Michael Jackson Oh he’ll be back. Circe will see to that.
Well if you look at the cast for Wonder woman 1984...
Max Lu he will probably do a past sequence like a dream or something
“Is this what people do when there are no wars to fight?”
Not ashamed to admit I get emotional when she says that. Damn that’s a powerful line.

He looks so nervous and it's so adorable.

I don't think nervous is the right word...he look a lil hot an bothered to me...lol...#hotunderthecollar
I think anybody would be nervous in his shoes. Here's a person who can kill with a flick of her finger and throw army tanks like a toy.
He is, u should see his interviews how he talks about her more than any ex co star legittttt 🤩 "One of the most beautiful women I ever seen" "She love to laugh and gigle that thing that I love the most about someone.... "
Actually hes not nervous at all hes just being a gentleman, not overstepping
Bruh he’s trying not to look at her because he knows hes gonna fall in love 😭
I think that casting Chris Pine was the best choice, he has charisma and masculinity but is good at highlighting the heroine, he doesn't try to steal the show. And he has a funny side which goes well with the seriousness of WW (plus their chemistry on screen)

The first man she ever loved.
This is my fave scene because you can Diana is so innocent and naive she doesnt know what it feels like to be with a man. And she is curious towards Steve too.
maki 15
Innocent like hell...did you see the way she unashamedly touched him right back after he touched her first? She wanted that man... Lol...#GODIANA
What do you mean what the hell? because you western people like you, does not what is the meaning of real sweetness and love. Because most of western people like americans and europeans do not appreciate this kind of scene. But we asian people are sweet and romantic, without doing something explicit. Like smiling and looking each other, courting a woman we love, we respect them not like western people they just kiss and hug in the public.
Jasper De Luna what are you talking about? No one said what the hell. He said innocent like hell. Hopefully it was just lost in translation. Also what’s with the dividing people’s feelings based on their culture? This is a movie made from people in the West.
I'm western European and I love the romance of this scene, but she clearly isn't innocent lol.
I love this whole scene from the warm glow of the lighting to the slow movements. The old song being played and sang in the background. This reminded me of scenes in older movies the calm before the storm scene.
She had no idea that tomorrow night, he will die in the biggest fireball while doing the bravest thing she's ever seen. There's no greater love than to give one's life for a friend and he gave all he had left to help stop Aries from destroying London. He gave everything. Real hero.
John 15:13 No one has greater love than this, that one should lay down his life for his friends. Ye are my friends if ye practise whatever I command you.Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.

He dies
I think he was hurt at some point, the way he talked about marriage on the boat and then in this scene. Maybe before the war he had a love maybe even engaged at one point but something happened.
I disagree. I don't think it should be considered sad. It's like, he hasn't yet experienced it yet. He's been too busy. But he knows he'll find love. And did.

Isorozco511 And after that it's Bats and Wondy.
Abhinaya Mary Koshy no they suck
I love how subtle but powerful the character of Steve Trevor is revealed here.
"I have no idea" - suddenly you see him not as a "cool spy" anymore, but a broken, lonely man who had no idea of what the "average" world is all about. And now when he found Diana and love, he understands what it is but instead has no idea of how to handle it.
I appreciate that Patty kept this scene, and the whole movie, clean and classy because of all the children who would be watching it. This movie proves that you don't need raunchy stuff and gross words to have a hit movie. Yet, this was maybe the hottest movie love scene I've ever seen.
I agree, but it's a comic book movie, literally no comic book movie (save Deadpool) is raunchy or gross or over saturated with cussing.
Michael Scott I was thinking along the lines of Michael Bay's Transformer movies. If I had a small child, I wouldn't let him/her see those.
Fair enough, I see your point.
Not quite. The Crow, the Blade movies with Wesley Snipes, Ghost World, From Hell, Road To Perdition,Watchmen, V For Vendetta, A History Of Violence, Constantine, 300, the Sin City movies,The Punisher movies, Jonah Hex,the Kick-Ass movies, the Kingsman: The Secret Service movies and American Splendor are all comic book movies-not all comic books are about Super Heroes so not all comic book movies-movies based on a comic book, are about Super Heroes. Hugh Jackman`s last movie as Wolverine, Logan, was R-Rated and likewise not appropriate for young children.
But I would agree that most comic book movies are not raunchy or gross or over-saturated with cussing and can be watched with the whole family.
And Marvel is quite clever at sneaking in things that go over the heads of the younger movie goers(and some adult ones) like Loki calling Black Widow a mewling quim(which basically means ''whining c**t'') in The Avengers or Tony Stark`s Prima Nocta remark in Avengers:Age Of Ultron or Stark making jokes about erectile dysfunction or Peter Quill/Star-Lord making a reference to semen and ejaculation in Guardians Of The Galaxy with the Jackson Pollock-painting line, etc.
And I left out Wanted, that`s a comic book movie, too.
"You did this."
"We did."
That's why I love this movie.
???
I see what you did there.
Shanethefilmmaker I mean I don't want to ruin anything but you're going to find the same line in an hundred of other movies
It's not the line, it's how it's used here. Unlike most examples in WWI and WWII movies where the guy tries to take all the credit even if he didn't do squat; Steve is humble he believes that only Diana should take credit for the No Man's Land fight being overturned in their favor. Whereas Diana doesn't see herself as a One-person army despite her powers. She sees herself as one part of a whole team and believes that the others in that team are capable of being just as brave and strong as she is. Much like Kal El being brought to Earth to inspire humanity under his own and Jor-El's belief that they would join him in the sun, Diana was just as capable of doing the same as an inspiration as well as a strong warrior.
“And they’re calling us heroes.”
“You are.”
Yes, there are so many. She really nailed it.
“It’s not something you can cross. It’s not possible!”
“So what, so we do nothing?!” 😍🙅🏻♀️😍
For a comic book movie this is probably one of the most intimate scenes ever on film.

The implication that Diana is his first and last makes the whole thing so beautiful tbh

@Robbie Drake no the being in love was implied. Diana is probably his first love, but I don’t think it means he’s a virgin
There is no implication he is or not but it doesn't matter.
Lmao no. Dont let his nervousness around Diana fool you, this man is a stud. Diana is literally a goddess. He has no idea what it means to wake up and have breakfast with your family, reading the paper before going to work, because he is a soldier. It’s not implied that he’s never been with a woman, it’s implied that he’s never had a normal life.
This is why “Wonder Woman” is my favorite of the DC Films Universe. There is fantastic writing, dialogue, character development and scenes that help tell the story. The creators weren’t in a hurry. The three films would have benefitted from this. (P.S. I enjoyed most of the other films in some ways. Some had more potential than others.)
Mine too besides man of steel and the dark night trilogies with Christian bale
Man of Steel is my second favorite. Even with its flaws. I would loved to see a film based on its opening sequences on Krypton. Would have been a great opening film to start the DC films off :)The Dark Knight Trilogy is it’s own entity which was perfectly fine. It was basically a crime film series with Batman and some of major rogues. Which was an interesting and realistic take on the character.
Sean Austin their character development is just amazing , fascinating
Sean Austin I hate Wonder Woman now because of this movie. Loved the character for 41 years. Then the boat scene, and fuck you princess
The dark Knight tops them all.
the combination of her innocence/naivete and her confidence make her character so great. like you could tell she was having feelings but she never got nervous and shied away or made a joke or anything like that. she is always in control of herself and always remains present and focused in any situation
Love this scene. Frankly, their relationship is what makes Wonder Woman such a good movie. DC needs more of this, and less of what we got in Justice League.
their chemistry actually makes me want to watch it again
TheNewApelles Not every day you find a movie that seamingly blends badass action and beautiful romance
You watch the edited version yet? Any opinion changes?
I love WW, but I adore the fightings in JL. And WW was awesome in it. I almost only watch because of Gal Gadot.
@@fezii9043 Late answer, but I enjoyed ZSJL quite a bit. Much better than the theatrical version. And all these years later, this Wonder Woman film is still the best of the DCEU. It's one of the only superhero films I'll regularly rewatch. It'll be a shame to lose Gal with Gunn's new universe- I'm hoping he keeps her around. She deserves more movies!
I love that line of
“Your awfully close....”
You can see that right then was her first glimpse of love.......
I mean sure she has seen it in London and now the french folk dancing with there lovers but she didn’t fully understand it nor could she comprehend it again because in her eyes men are
“Unnecessary”
Then we see in that moment when she realizes that the dance is not focused on the flamboyance of the moves or the music but the connection to the partner the intimacy of how they hold each other and
“Sway”
Is when she feels love even if she doesn’t fully understand it.............
God I love this film.........
I agreed with u so much I just love the connection
Excellent point you wrote, tks.

Let’s not pretend that this scene wasn’t so well executed that we all felt the same flames burning in our chests that we imagined Diana and Trevor feeling as this night progressed.

Wait. What!?🤣🤣
Steve: O_o
I'm not a comic book reader but this scene made me respect Steve Trevor in all ways possible. It's easy to take advantage of Diana's innocence towards these kinds of stuff but Steve was too pure that even though it's easy to fall in love with a woman, no sorry a demi-god, as lovely as Diana, he respected her in all moments they were together. Salute Capt. Trevor!
Bro she is literally a goddess and will whoop his ass if he cheats on her lmao
There is no lewdness in this love scene at all. There is romance and intimacy and opening themselves to each other and it's just so beautiful.
And it’s classy too - even on Steve’s end. He lets Diana enter the bedroom and he deliberately keeps the door open to give her a chance to leave. But when she doesn’t, he closes the door… but he’s still gentle and authentic with her.
Honestly Steve was just trying to show her the room where she was going to be sleeping at...when he was about to leave she gave him a stare because i truly believe she did not want him to leave because of that moment that they shared wen they was dancing.....but if that was me of course that Stare would have made me come back to stay with her.
Yeah lol
Her intense staring into his eyes and him awkwardly looking away just makes this scene so perfect
Going into the movie, I never would have guessed Chris and Gal would have such great chemistry onscreen, but they really did! It's funny how two actors can just naturally work really well together sometimes.
When shooting WW84, i remember watching the blooper reel. They would always try and make each other laugh and do jokes. But when it came time for seriousness between the characters. The two actors delivered, they have great chemistry together. I recently read that if Star Trek gets another sequel made, Pine hopes Godot would be a love interests of Captain Kirk. We'll see
I cant with diana's stare! Omg the way she stare's at him makes my heart beats super fast! Best movie ever

One of my favorite scenes. It is very human. Diana comes from a village of warriors, she was raised to fight and defend. She believes that the world outside the island is just war.
