This man is really a hero full of discipline. Imagine two times in the movie he rather sacrifice his happiness for the greater good of humanity rather to screw a goddess.

you know in the retro Wonder Woman tv series, Diana actually had a fling with two versions of Steve Trevor
first was a WWII pilot, Steve Trevor Senior, whom she followed back to the mortal world and helped defeat Nazis, then after the war was over, she returned home to Themasacara
years later, Steve Trevor Junior, son of the original Steve Trevor, comes crashing on to Themascara, and Diana chose to leave with him to help the mortal world again
I cried hearing that from Queen Elizabeth II and I just stood here thinking “No!” Then I get powers from Woody.EXE to get me through the rest of 2022
To me, he saved her soul in this scene. Ares was about to drag her down to his level (or dark side) by making her take a life for anger and hatred. Steve pulled her back.
I always wish they didn’t make a sequel to this movie. It was perfect just the way it was.
I totally agree. It now makes the gravity of how we all felt about this one seem redundant.

The second movie truly lacks is about a bigger theme like first one. The first movie is about humanity. It's about humanity has both sides. Human can be ugly and cruel, but we have to believe human are still capable of love and care. Steve Trevor in this scene, represents the best of human. He sacrificed himself because he believes in humanity. Without Steve Trevor, Diana might never see human beings are worth saving. And Ares would win. But thanks to Steve Trevor, Diana understands some of the best quality of humanity, are worthy to protect forever.
The second one is talking about Truth, but in reality, things are very complicated. Quoting from Dark Knight "Sometimes Truth is not good enough, sometimes people deserve more, sometimes people deserve their faith rewarded." If They really want to talk about truth, more doing, less talking will be much better.

Ww84 messed me up for any other romances, man. Steve and Diana’s goodbyes just hurt. At least the second goodbye had more closure, because with this one, she didn’t really know what was going to happen. I love this because it’s like how Uncle Ben was Peter’s motivation to be the best hero, or Thomas and Martha being Bruce’s, well, Steve was Diana’s.

WW84 isnt canon in my book. Sorry, but this goodbye is absolutely perfect.
Except she actually did a proper goodbye and kiss in 1984. Here she couldn't hear anything (Even tho this movie is overall better than WW84)
The WW84 goodbye was way more emotional and better imo, the fact that she had to sacrifice him for the world makes it so sad.

@@satanclaus1693 whether it's canon or not is not up to you, it's up to the writers. Imagine someone watches Thor Ragnarok and when they see that Mjolnir got destroyed and say it's not canon, it's simply not true as this event carries through the rest of the MCU.

Ares gets stronger with war. The poison gas was his last shot at continuing the war. When Steve destroyed it, Ares got weaker. That’s how he lost to Diana despite beating Darkside.

You know if Steve had've had just a little bit more time he could've grabbed a parachute (Yes, parachutes were around in WWI) and some hand-grenades before getting into the bomber before taking off. So after putting on the parachute and putting the bomber into a shallow climb when he reached a few thousand feet he could've opened the door, arm and toss the grenades into the bomb-bay and jump before opening said parachute the he was safely clear of the bomber. That way he could've survived so he and Dianna would then be together although he'd age while she didn't.

WB fault, they wanted a final fight for this movie, so they used Ares in the ending, it's for that because the VFX looks weird for moments in this fight, we only know in the original this ending is more simple than this, so maybe in that, Steve doesn't die.

Diana & Steve Trevor's relationship was so great & sad to me.
This is what Steve Rogers aka Captain America in MCU is missing. He fell in love with Peggy Carter but ended frozen in time in 70 years before he woke up in modern day. He needs to let go of the past and focus on the future because Peggy is old and had her own family as seen in CA: The Winter Soldier. That's why I ship him & Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow(one of my favorite ships in MCU). But the ending of Endgame ruined his character development and his arc by the writers do the 'stuck-on-the-whole past' happy ending thing. 😔

@@peterlonergan really? I don't think so. Not overtly. I mean, Ludendorf and Poison are depicted as maniacal caricatures, but the soldiers themselves are never shown doing anything evil, per se. Steve Trevor does call them the "bad guys", but that's true from his perspective.

I might be the only one but l believe that ares could have been a good candidate as the main villain(pritrayed by another actor of course) for the first justice league movie instead of steppenwolf.
L always felt like justice league shouldn't have done another alien invasion right away, they should have use a earth villain powerfull enought to require the league to form.
Ares hatred/jealousy for humans is his motive and his plans could have been about him looking for relics to releas the monsters from tartarus on humanity.
