It personally doesn’t bother me as much when he has his cowl off because he’s already so used to acting like two completely different people. Bruce Wayne and Batman rarely ever share similarities, with some exceptions of course. But it does bother me a lot when he’s Batman acting like Tony Stark. The biggest difference between the two characters is that Tony is Tony in or out of the suit. Bruce is not, and should never act that way. Batman is serious, and if he makes jokes, they’re heavily disguised with sarcasm. So when he’s making jokes left and right, it feels really off and it takes you right out of the movie

After watching ZSJL I'm really glad Zack avoided the trope that's been so overdone in movies: guys have to find a way to work together as a team but personality clashes mean they bicker, fight and disagree until they learn to put those things aside, rise above and work together as a team. Even though Joss made it work for Avengers, it's been done to death and I'm so over it! I appreciate Zack steered away from that. The group understand the threat is Steppenwolf and they all totally commit to the job together. Instead of bickering they share great little relationship-building moments like Arthur and Diana finding a common proverb between them, and Arthur revealing to Barry his concern for Vic after losing his father. The conflict is with Steppenwolf, not with each other and it made for a refreshing change.
That’s exactly why I love Zack Snyder’s Justice League! The characters have such good chemistry together, even if they’re focused on stopping Steppenwolf.
@@wildbill9490 They are not humans for most part. Beside thats the main reason between Marvel and DC. Marvel are ordinary people being heroes, DC are gods among men.
I liked how Diana was the den mother , provided the balance as the group seemed to be imploding . she has to bring them together as the woman senses the others uncertainty, vulnerability and being critical of each other.
I like how Bruce Wayne is so resistant to pain through sheer force of will, he can get his arm dislocated and popped back into place without barely missing a beat in his sentence.
it's too forced. Bruce initially had a crush on her in BvS, but she was way too mature for where he was in his life at that point in time. He was more interested in bringing the team together to try to save the world (while feeling guilty about what happened to Superman). Why would he be caring about Diana's personal love interests? (Especially, when there's aliens about to conquer the world and he had a huge part in why the only person that could stop them died trying to save the world from the same villain that made Bruce hate Superman). That was a huge strategic "L" that Batman took because he was distracted. This scene reminds me of MCU-type, Avengers quips. It doesn't belong in this movie (maybe in a later movie when the stakes aren't so high).
This scene just shows how little appreciation joss had for snyders vision. Batman would not have been asking stupid questions about putting out 'feelers' and looking like a rookie

When you make Batman tell jokes, you've failed to write the character properly. He is always the straight man of the team, the one that comedy is derived from because he's always purposefully locking himself out of the party or in other cases, he's oblivious because he's so laser focused on other things. The animated show in the early 2000s nailed his character in the team dynamic, but this movie? Horrendous.
I partially agree. The key is writing and timing, something this movie kinda lacked. Basically, Batman does best with one liners or appropriate quips. I always felt Batman Returns had the best writing, Bruce made some good zingers. *Penguin While Strangling Batman:* "You're just jealous that I'm a genuine freak while you have to wear a mask!" *Batman while choking.* 'I think you might be right...' Or *Batman slams Catwoman's face to the floor.:* "Eat floor, High Fiber..."
@Jack Frost Well, this "recent fanboy" has been watching and reading this character for almost three decades now, and feels like he has a pretty decent handle on one of his favorite characters. I shouldn't have hardline stated that Batman can't ever tell jokes, because around those he's comfortable with (like Alfred) he might deliver one, but it would feel odd if they weren't sarcastic in nature. Bruce has never struck me as someone who would joke to joke, as the humor that naturally fits his character best is when he's the butt of the joke or is the only one not laughing at someone else's joke, which then produces its own sense of unintentional comedy. He's always the one that would need to be told to lighten up, not take things so seriously, etc. The mission is always top of the order for him, and he doesn't have time for funny business.
@@Bad_At_Parties I mean, Bruce has a sense of humor. It's just at the wrong moments. Especially in TAS. I believe it enhances him as a character and makes him more human. Still, he should still be stoic at his core.
You’re wrong, here’s why. Batman is very hyper focused and neurotic to an extent. However, while he is always serious, he does joke time to time. It’s normally in sarcasm or a witty remark that doesn’t hit you for a while. You can’t and shouldn’t make Batman super depressed and void of life. Him telling jokes isn’t inherently bad at all, it actually enhances him as a character, being able to joke about dark shit and his trauma. Now it only becomes a problem if it’s done out of character or doesn’t make sense for him in the moment. After all, Batman is Bruce Wayne, and Bruce Wayne is Batman. He’s like an onion with many layers.
I love the Snyder Cut, but this is one of the two scenes that I missed from the Whedon Cut. The other one is again, Bruce and Diana walking by the lake. I don't mind Batman being a normal human around Diana; she can help him being more human in the best sense IMO. Also, I don't see this scene as weird. In the comic history, there are numerous scenes where Bruce opened up to Diana what he couldn't say to others. But I suppose that depends on what fans like. Though I'm fine with the dark Batman, I love the 80s Batman, and to me Diana is the bridge that can bring that 80s Batman back. The detective Batman that can still smile and appreciate little jokes, while still scared the criminals away. The Batman that is not broken.
@Edmond&Mercedes Steve is dead my good man. he'll remain dead in the sequel through simple logic that the new ww movie takes place before this movie. The 80s to be precise. And Diana is talking like Steve is dead therefore he's dead. unless they want to fuck up the continuity of bvs and justice league too but dceu is in enough of a mess so it's best not to make it completly incoherent. They could do it completely stand alone but if that's the case they'd have to recast ww not cause confusion. also stand alone movies won't do as well Simply because people have watched dceu movies until now beliving its all parts of shared universe like mcu remove batman and superman from the equation and watch things flop hard. Catwoman doesn't exist in this universe or if she does she's not close with batman.
Edmond&Mercedes I love trevor as well but he’s dead. and BvS/JL steve obviously isn’t there so he’s not coming back. catwoman is a villain and bruce isn’t. wonder woman and bruce are perfect. especially for live action movies
Batman in the cartoons and comics: "Aquaman, go talk to your fish, and get me a coffee. I'm so sorry you see the world that way, it's just dark
One thing I loved about Batman in BvS is the bulletproof confidence he had in what he did and years of experience to know his way around his opposition in a clever way and if necessary force the world to re-align around his goals with brute strength. None of that is in this movie unfortunately.

The biggest difference between the two characters is that Tony is Tony in or out of the suit. Bruce is not, and should never act that way. The conflict is with Steppenwolf, not with each other and it made for a refreshing change.

it's too forced. I would say it was a more mixed reception. better received than Clooney and Kilmer.....but not as much as Keaton and Bale. Affleck’s is in the middle.
Great actor, just bad writing and director. Seems like there was alot of stuff behind the scenes that made the movie bad.
@@BillyBob-ec5oxI honestly really loved Kilmer's batman, Affleck kinda looks like the older version of him too which I quite enjoy
But this batman is kinda eh to me
When you make Batman tell jokes, you've failed to write the character properly.
*Penguin While Strangling Batman:*
"You're just jealous that I'm a genuine freak while you have to wear a mask!"
*Batman while choking.*

*Batman slams Catwoman's face to the floor.:* "Eat floor, High Fiber..."
@@The_Based_Batman His humor is more unintended than anything. It's what you'd expect from him.

Wonderbat is the ONLY THING they did RIGHT in this entire movie
@Edmond&Mercedes yeah it's usually Batman with Catwoman but Batman and Wonder Woman usually got some sexual tension going on
@Edmond&Mercedes Steve is dead my good man. he'll remain dead in the sequel through simple logic that the new ww movie takes place before this movie.

And I swear if you put me up against the wall again I'll hit you with scarecrow gas and make you afraid of water."
Batman in JL movies: "Ummm... hey man, uh, do you think you can like, I don't know, talk to your fish? Please don't hurt me."
yaboy yaboy jajjajajajaj What a funny comment, it's true that Batman can be old and hurt, but nobody will ever see him in that state, except Alfred, and that's because it's Alfred
Yaboi Yaboy Lmmfao!! Oh man, spot on comment! Worthy of all the likes haha
Maybe because I don't know he is actually portrayed has a human in this
I've never seen this movie..and I gotta say..That isn't Batman,
Tf is this shit??
I'm Batman!
Its
Shit
It’s 💩
Joss and Wb Makes Him Funny
What do You expect from dc
Batman at this moment was still in shock after he got bitch clapped by Superman he's still questioning his own existence lmao
0:54, hey hey! Her eyes are up here, not down there?!
Lmfaooo
Batman’s costume is just a thin cloth lol.
Remember Christopher Nolan’s Batman’s suit?
Yeah, but his voice is better here.
But if they got in a fight,JL Batman would beat him
Tony T 2000 yeah, they’re two different Batman’s, one is grounded and more realistic, the other has aliens and a guy who can run faster than light
Doesn't he have multiple layers, though? And different suits, I'd guessing. The one he's wearing when Diana fixes his shoulder honestly looks like an armored shirt, designed to go under his suit
Remember the BvS suit
Only if u watched the animated justice league......u would know how much they both liked each other .....diana once even asked him for date!!!
Also the comic book
@@izrael820 not really sure about the comic book, coz the new 52 comic paired wonder woman with Superman😢
@@adityasrivastava2814 ohhhh yeah I remember now after I think volume 2 of Justice league new 52 the shipped her with super man hut later doesn't she go to Batman tho
Gross. She belongs with flash
"Asked"...more like passive-aggressively demanded, by smashing a nearby gargoyle statue with her hand.
wonder woman be like: "oops, sorry I ripped your arm. Let me fix it"
This flash is annoying. He is like a Spiderman but in the bad way.
yeah, grant gustins flash is 10x better
Jayhawk no
Yeah i found flash really annoying as well. I mean like I know flash is suppose to be nerdy and geeky. But that was way too much. Give him a badass heroic scene. Everytime the flash is looking cool they gotta have him trip or fall or have him be nerdy again.
Lol even the kids find him annoying
Not My Flash. I prefer Grant. He’s the perfect Barry!
This is not the Batfleck i fell in love with in BvS.
Honestly he feels like a completely different character in JL.
Jo$h good he was shit in bvs
xenomorph 12322 No he wasnt, u bum. He was strong, capable, acrobatic, and dangerous. In JL he's a fucking worm. He fant fight, he can't move, he's vulnerable. They butcherer him.
xenomorph 12322 fuck off
Because Whedon reshot everything that had to do with the League together and all of Superman's scenes to change the direction of the story from what Zack had envisioned.
Really? BvS is one of the worst movies ever made. Acting, effects, plot, direction, everything was and still is a total fucking mess.
All you fucking comic geeks don't give a shit if a movie makes sense. You just want to see all of the crap from the comics thrown on the screen haphazardly. At least Marvel gives some coherence to their films.
Bruce is supposed to be cocky and smart , it’s weird seeing this version of Batman ,
It's sad since this will make people think this is how Batman acts since it's Justice League. Maybe Zack's will be considered canon in the end.
@@eternalblessing4984 Don't worry, Snyder's Justice League will be far better than what Whedon put out.
@@Get_BODIED Hes literally submissive in this movie.
Snyder Cut Batman: I'm gonna fuck you all up with my Plane, Car, grappling hooks and your own weapons againts you
He is human who was punched by Superman.
JL Batman is just some random 58 years old Russian dude who had enough vodka
Gal gadot and ben affleck where the ones i doubted the most, they sure shut me up, now all we need is a good movie.
rockmanx20 Well Ben Affleck is leaving the role after Flashpoint but I can't wait for Wonder Woman 2
That's not confirmed, actually. Currently, he's still set to star in the DCEU's standalone Batman film.
Yes I also had my doubts but the acting is fine, sadly this movie problems is not the acting, but everything else.
I'm not even sure I agree with that, to be honest. I loved this movie.
Batfleck didn't even throw a single signature Bat glare throughout the entire movie.
He did in ZSJL
Affleck and Gal have very good chemistry in scenes together.
Delusion by jynks moonsun "convince yourself"
You mean they are very good actors/actress. I just don’t understand how people can be so fake they make movies. It’s a pathetic achievement in life. What did you do? Oh I pretend to be someone else! Like come on and we all feed into it
Yesss! We ship thisss!
Courier Seven I just can't understand how you're thinking. Movies are artworks, not this one, this one is shit. But are entertainment, a part of our lives. I'd be proud to be involved in the creation of a movie or a fantasy/fiction story in any way (books, comics, games). Art like this can get to yourself and trigger emotions and feels, much like music. I'm so sorry you see the world that way, it's just dark
AVENGERS
DVD
2:15 i really like this moment
One thing I loved about Batman in BvS is the bulletproof confidence he had in what he did and years of experience to know his way around his opposition in a clever way and if necessary force the world to re-align around his goals with brute strength. None of that is in this movie unfortunately.
The REAL Batman won't let age effect him! They killed his character in this movie! He was way better in Batman v Superman
Carlos Plascencia well thank whedon for turning him into that , and making him a comedian with his flat line jokes and humor
Yeah exactly, have u seen the dark Knight movie? (Animated) pt 1 and 2 (he's 55 in that movie )
Movie's the greatest of all in DC.
Shows how age doesn't affect Batman..
Except he does in Dark Knight Returns and Batman: Beyond. . .
I would imagine at this point he has been Batman for at least 15 years tho....
Asia M mizkitty 20 years
1:39 you can really see here batman is a real leader he don't show his injuries in front of his team
You're kidding right?
@@-ayoshattah-ilya14ans70no
Can we take a moment and give Batman respect ? The man is human and uses weapons and his own strength. This is why I find him the best example of being vulnerable and knowing he is a human that can at least try to put up a fight. Maybe I sound bias but I would say Batman can also remind us that we can do better too in our daily everyday life. Just pass the whiskey first 🤣🤣
Omg yes, I freaking love Batman soo much in BvS, ZSJL, and bcuz of this scene, I REALLY wanna see this version 😭❤️ I love how here these movies make him more realistic and vulnerable as the human amongst gods that he is!
02:11 I'll never forgive Whedon for this.
I'm kinda pissed off they showed batman drinking, I always liked the fact that he didn't drink in the comics/other movies.
Pretty sure Bruce would drink in the dark knight too
What the hell you think Batman is? He is a human being, not an alien, not a machine...
I like that he drinks. He technically breaks the law by doing vigilante justice. Having a brew isn't a bad thing. Being an alcoholic and letting it consume your life is a bad thing
Tr3yJord4n yea he did but to only fake it around people batman prefer milk lol
Doesn't fit his character at all.
Why do they always mess up Batman, they mess up his voice or make him into a clueless depressing buff guy
La
Bruh... your comment makes zero sense in relationship to the facts. The Story was written by MALES and produced by males. If you need to bring “feminism” into an argument to validate your point AT LEAST make it make sense.... I understand it’s a trend to put down feminism now, but just make sure it has some sort of relevancy to the topic.
@@confisz690 wtf does feminism have to do with his comment? Get over yourself.
He is a cluless depressing buff guy when he's trying to face an alien invasion.
@@confisz690 What are you talking about?
just do it already. can't wait to see some little wonderbats roaming around
