@@xangiexdx I think it's more about them not wanting to drop other players frame rates and crash their games more than anything. We need a current gen version, that doesn't allow crossplay with last gen - but sadly it's never going to happen(or work if it did happen)
I don't know everything about game development. However, I remember that through the modding community FO4/FO3 or even the ES games they re did texture packs that actually made the games run smoother. So at the very least it's possible... whether they want to devote resources to that remains. I'll stay optimistic and hope after Starfield they divert some luv back to 76.
@@xangiexdx I feel this like a pathetic excuse. While I don't pretend to make a whole city in my camp, the way the structures cost is designed is utterly bullshit and remove the fun to make camps. They keep releasing stuff for camp but they don't want fix the camp budget usage cause they are lazy to go through stuff and optimize them or use some logic.
I use the seedy shed a lot, genuinely surprised it (15) and the watchtower (45) cost so much. Explains why my remaining watchtower camp had to be stretched way more thin decoration-wise.
thank you for this video as someone who struggles with building I find it very helpful. well I guess I will start easing up on turrets and stick to defense walls.
Yeah, I personally find turrets to be too budget heavy for what little they accomplish. Considering how often mutants or scorched shoot them from out of range then go on to break everything else, it's just another expensive thing to repair instead of a wooden wall.
It always baffled me that the PA display costs 1 unit, but mannequins 10 times that. They are practically doing the same thing - displaying armor/apparel. WHY BETHESDA?
Thanks! This was easier for me to digest than just looking at a spreadsheet. I'm mad about some of the costs, especially the circus car. That would be great as part of a circus build, but I want multiple, and that would eat up my budget really fast. It would have saved me a lot of trouble to know about that cost sooner, as I have used it in midway and train builds, and wondered why I had so little budget.
There is a nasty camp budget bug I'm experiencing, the bone chimes in the defences tab, when harvested by a player they get deleted, but the deleted chime is still taking up camp budget and cannot be repaired or returned by storing the roof it is hanging from!
Oh, such a lovely video of you! Useful information, but it left me surprised by the comparison and budget of so many items. Great work of your team. Thank u.
I’m sure players will reach a point where they wouldn’t buy any camp items from the atomic store because their building budget is full. I think to get around this budget issue would to allow players to have more camp slots. That way the camp itself wouldn’t be a strain on the server and players will use their newly purchased atomic items for their new camps.
Well Bethesda offers you 5 slots in total 3 of which you have to buy. Their solution to the camp budget was i microscopic increase do to removing displayed items from the budget and giving us shelters that as cool as they might be all struggle from way to low budgets their self...
my lodge 45 units but my newish corner store (I don't know the name but a large prefab) which arguably has more space- 3 units. I don't even know what to say bout that but someone Forrest Gumpin' over some of those wow. Great info. Big help with budgeting and I was debating on Charleston station with few hours left but that 50 talked me out of it lol.
Thank you I've been looking for something like this for years.... Now and most important of all we need a camp budget boost NOW ! 25% - 50% would be nice... Everything else in the game received a boost, so why not the camp budget boost ... Thank you again for the informative video ✌️🙂
Well, I couldn't get "First" again because RUclips only just sent me the notification. Dang you RUclips 😤 Anyhoo, can someone explain the point of that Siren & how it's even a defense?
Non Fallout 76 Fans wondering why we count things in Flamingos in F5 be like: EDIT: BTW The Chicken Coop costing 9 Flamingos is outrageous. You just saved me a bunch of space at the cost of nothing, cuz its not like I need the Fertilizer.
Awesome work ! I always wondered why my budget cost skyrocketed when using some items... When in doubt what to buy from the shop with the hard earned atoms I'll use this budget cost as a diferentiator.
Interesting is it possible that 76 to prevent camp size glitches tries to save up budget that would be used up if we as an example switch from the Vault TEC Catwalks to the Alien ones?
I have spent days and weeks looking for a enclave plasma flamer. Then I got a quad and thought why not see if it was even worth the struggle…the gun was great! For the first few minutes of the boss fight then it broke. Repair kit and back fighting…broke…? Two repairs for a boss fight? Honestly we need a guide for the brittle guns because I do not need a gun that’s super strong one shot but breaks with a sneeze! My explosive railway gun broke easy…cold shoulder is better because I can freeze at least and it doesn’t break!
I just wish I had the materials to build my dream base and the plans because I see so many cool things. I’m a new player in 2023 I did buy it on launch but I deleted my save soon after but I’m lvl 30 and have a lot of things but not much that I need
I am wondering if perhaps a smaller unit of measurement might be better. I don’t know the relative costs but if any item was less than a flamingo, that might be better. I suggest the floor decoration “ duck decoy” as it’s the item I use to complete daily or weekly building challenges. Also how does Bethesda determine build budgets for items? Thanks for what you do, really awesome!
I wish theyd list budget in build menu, like they list item/stack weight in pip boy. I cant be bothered with polygon counts anymore I just want to build and know if the look is worth the cost before im comitted to it...
So if im right, each of the 'multi option' items are all the same? The odd one i found was the hedge-gate, where that is 1, the normal 'wall' pieces are just 1 flamingo, though they are all on the same option.
If the beehive is one flamingo and I dumped an excersize bike at three flamingos and ten mutfruits, why does it tell me the beehive exceeds the build count?
What’s the point of flamingo units, there’s a mod you download and it tells you the exact number of budget you have left before max, and exactly how much budget an item costs. The flamingo unit is a waste of time.

Ayo!! That's me!!! Lol
I'd love the devs to try to optimize camp items to lower the budget cost overall or even increase camp budget in the future
As much as I like that, I feel it would likely put too much strain on the servers.

No problem mate! Can definitely see it being useful early on, as budget can be difficult to manage.
@@UraniumFever76 yup I had been using turrets everywhere to protect my camp. It's cheaper to just repair and put up fences and maybe 1 or 2 turrets
Yeah, I personally find turrets to be too budget heavy for what little they accomplish. Considering how often mutants or scorched shoot them from out of range then go on to break everything else, it's just another expensive thing to repair instead of a wooden wall.
I’ve also found that turrets seem to attract enemies and my camp ally can single-handedly defeat enemies weaker than super mutants in a couple hits.
Need to scrap the chicken coop, 9 flamingos is outrageous. Same for the radstag hang drier thingy.

thanks a bunch!
I wonder if there's actually a process for how much they cost, or if they've done a typical Bethesda and values are arbitrary based on who coded it
