  • This is my first real mod, following CoolToy's excellent instructional videos:
    • Arcade1Up Pinball Mod ...
    • Arcade1Up Pinball Mod ...
    After getting Pinball FX3 working (which was surprisingly not difficult at all if you follow the instructions in the videos above), I added Pinup Popper, using Baller Installer (which is AMAZING).
    I added some touches of my own:
    New Playfield monitor (the stock A1Up monitor is trash)
    New speakers
    NES controller for menus and other controls
    This is Phase 1 (which I'm very happy with). Phase 2 will reintroduce nudging and the physical plunger!

    If I am not mistaken that music is the first stage music of Ninja Warriors?

    Great setup. Do stock solenoids work with FX3? Going to put a 27inch monitor in mine and the marseille mcable classic to upscale to 1080p

    • @TreZ
      @TreZ  Год назад

      Solenoids are not working in this phase. BUT! I found that there are solenoids that you can hook directly to the buttons, so there's no software involved in making them work. I intend to add them in Phase 2. Stay tuned!

      Did you end up installing a 27in monitor? If so, which one did you use and how did it go? Thanks!

    Can you provide a link where I can get the back glass images with no built in DMD spot? When I added my third screen for DMD then the back glass images have that blank spot

    • @TreZ
      @TreZ  Год назад

      All my backglass came via the Pinup Popper interface

    Recently acquired a Arcade1Up pinball AFM and wanted to do what you did. When you upgraded your playfield monitor did you have to remove all the casing from the new TV to get it to fit? What PC are you using?

    • @TreZ
      @TreZ  Год назад

      Yes, I had to remove the casing. It's not easy, but you only have to do it once!

    Are you using the A1U stock solenoids or did you need to do something for that? I want to keep the bump n feel :)

    Awesome! Getting ready to mod my AFM. What monitor did you use for the playfield? Is it still a 24inch monitor?

      You'll need an amp, too, or the volume will be really low. This is the one I used:

      @@TreZ GTX950 runs virtual pinball well? How much RAM

    • @TreZ
      @TreZ  2 года назад +1

      @@SteveBaileyHQ 8 Gigs RAM. It runs FX3 great, Visual Pinball isn't so great. I'd recommend a better video card for VPX. I hope to upgrade at some point for this reason. For my purposes, the Williams tables were most important, so FX3 is fine
