      Thanks so much for watching and supporting the channel my friend I really appreciate it. I truly believe you are going to love it. It has some minor negatives as everyone has stated but........the game play is awesome. Even better than that is the epic sound track from the game. If you are a Star Wars fan then you will love this machine. I certainly do. Just hearing that music and lines from the movies just gives you a great imerservie experience. Let me know when you have it set up and have played it. I would love to know your opinion. Have fun bud!👍

    AFM Cabinet here in Canada. Thanks for the tips on the legs being tricky/misaligned during installation. I did manage to get all 4 legs screwed in without too much issue but I did find 2 legs tougher than the other ones. Based on your comments I started by screwing in the single bolt first and then putting the other 2 in after. Seemed to do the trick. Otherwise, no other obvious construction issues that I can see. Other table issues, noticeable lag on the one table (whitewater) as others have reported. Buttons are way too soft spongey for my liking (will replace). Screen door effect on glass (horizontal lines) at certain viewing angles (will replace glass). Decent product overall (visually stunning for an arcade) but haven't had it long enough to know if there are long-term durability issues.

      @JesterTester  3 года назад +1

      Hey Brian, thank you so much for a very thorough review of the AFM cabinet. I am glad you were able to get the legs on in that way. Unfortunately for me. The back plate was just too deformed on one side to be able to attach them any other way.
      The other things you mentioned seem to be the standard complaints unfortunately. I am also going to change out the buttons my self. They definitely can use an upgrade. Well I am very happy you have your table and it is working well. Have a great time with it and please update me if anything changes. Thanks you so much again to take the time to help everyone out with your experience. I really appreciate it my friend.👍

      Geez, i would have written this exactly the same Brian. Whitewater is almost unplayable with the lag. Thank goodness its the only one. But i did replace the plexi glass with actual glass, totally eliminates the horizontal lines. But i have been playing it for over a week, and easily over an hour at a time with no problems.

    • @en4crcdn
      @en4crcdn 3 года назад +1

      Ya, I am enjoying the product overall. AFM is definitely the highlight table for me, followed up by Medieval Madness and Arabian Nights, with FishTales and Getaway being pretty good runner-ups. Not sure about the other tables yet as I didn't play them as a kid. If anyone has a recommendation on what buttons seem good to use let me know. Also, bought a custom piece of tempered glass for $54 CAD that should do the trick. Lowes no longer cuts glass here due to liability issues apparently.

    I've had the Marvel pinball for nearly a week, now, and it's been on for several hours each day, no problems. Mind you, it's been idle, a lot. I've had my Star Wars pinball just one day, now, and it's been on for several hours, no problem. The only major problem I had was the backbox mounting. The holes for the left side of the backbox, inside the cabinet, don't line up with the holes for the backbox, it's self. In fact, it's like the plate that has the threaded holes is moved away from the back wall of the cabinet, a fair bit, compared to the right side. I'm guessing the only thing for it will be to drill, and use your molly bolt solution to properly affix the backbox, securely. I did notice some difficulty in getting the leg bolts started, but was able to get them all done, no problem, after very tough starts on each bolt. Thanks for the video. I'll update, if I experience any of the issues mentioned.

      Thank you so much for you in depth review on both of your machines. I am sorry to hear about the bolt alignment issue. It seems there are various issues like this but in the grand scheme of things we know that issue is only a minor inconvenience, but we still hope Arcade1up addreses these issues in the future. It is awesome to hear they are working perfectly at this time. Thank you so much again for updating all of us on your experience. Have a great time with your machines. I had the same issue with the legs. I know I saw this somewhere else but I had already figured it out on both the star wars and marvel tables. If you just completely tighten in the two bolts on one side of the leg, the bolt hole lines up on the other side. Worked perfect on both my tables. I think where the metal legs have a counter sink for the bolt it prevents it from lining up with the hole cuts in the wood. When the two bolts are tightened in first, it forces the last one into place.

      Thanks so much for adding your issue Phillip. It was great you were able to do that with yours. At first, I tried that with mine. I also removed the threaded back plate all together. That's when I saw how bent and defective mine were. There was no way for me to jimmy it around to get a fit. It was that defective. That's why I had no choice but secure it that way. I appreciate you taking the time to share your issue. It will definitely help the rest of the community. Just One question did you receive your machines in Canada, or the States?

    I'm one of the people you mentioned who had the playfield monitor issue with the Star Wars cabinet. It went totally black mid-game. It appeared as if the backlight went out, as the image could still be seen a little, if you looked very closely at the screen. I returned the unit to the store (The Source) for a refund. I've since bought a new unit (this time from The Brick) and am hopeful that the first unit was just bad luck. That being said, I did add the seller's 3-year extended warranty (for $89) just in case.

      Thanks so much for adding your info Jason. Yes I did see your monitor issue. One thing I have noticed is one of the emails I received was from someone in Canada with a major issue. And then I heard of another. And now you have reported yours
      Seems like at this time the Canadian market is showing these issues first. It could be that most of you received your machines first, for the most part. I have a similar issue on my star wars as well. On the front 1 bolt on the single side, same as the one you showed, I cannot line it up to put the bolt in. If I have the leg off, I can directly screw the bolt in, but with the leg in place, I cannot get it to thread. I spent at least an hour trying to figure out what was wrong. So it is not just you.

    • @JesterTester
      @JesterTester  3 года назад +1

      Hey buddy, thanks so much for checking in and sharing your situation also. I know it was very wierd to me. I did everything to put different legs on at different times. Kept them loose to try and jostle them around thinking I could somehow manipulate them into position. Then finally I removed the back plate entirely from the cabinet to take a good look at it. Its then when I noticed the single hole was severely deformed and twisted. Same with the other on the same side. At that point I knew there was no way this bolt was threading in unless I redrilled it an tapped new threads. So it was easier just to use the 3/16" bolt and wing nut. Thanks so much for checking in and commenting to help everyone out. I sure do appreciate it my friend. Keep me updated on your machine ok.👍

      Hey bud, thanks so much for watching and commenting. Yes I actually did do that at first. I had to do that with the right side. But the left side was completely different. Nothing I did worked. It was so bad, I finally decided to remove the back plate off the left side to inspect it. When I did it was so deformed it was crazy. I should have taken a picture of it to show. I REALLY struggled with the legs on mine as well. I was really close to taking tools to it to widen the holes in the legs when I was finally able to get them secured without modification. But it took a lot of fussing. I'm pretty handy and I bet I had it all done but the legs in maybe 10-15 minutes. Then the legs must have taken at least a half hour, with a lot of cussing and even some sweating.

    • @JesterTester
      @JesterTester  3 года назад +1

      Lol, I know exactly what you mean. Thats the way the right side of mine were. I had to keep loosening the legs and fiddle and jostle them around to finally they all fit on. But......the left side was completely different. After a long while, I said some is definitely wrong. So I decided to take the back plates completely off the left side to inspect them. When I did I was then able to see that the single threaded hole on both the left side plates were severely damaged and distorted. The threading was incorrectly done and the hole itself was oblong and not round. So the screw would not even screw into the opening with the plate off. So my only solution would be to drill a new hole an re tap new threading or use the thinner bolt which in turn was the easiest solution. Hey thanks so much for sharing your experience. I really do appreciate it along with your support of the channel.👍

    • @tjwright
      @tjwright 3 года назад

      @@JesterTester On mine I felt like a couple of the legs weren't bent quite all the way to a 90° angle and that was the problem. I was able to put the bolts in without the legs present, but going through the holes in the legs just wouldn't allow the bolts to get started. Two legs went on like a breeze and the other two were a major struggle. My solution was going to be to either enlarge the holes on my drill press or just grab a file and open the couple troublesome holes up a little on one side. I almost destroyed the threads on the bolts trying to force it together. They really need to address the leg fitment on these!

    • @JesterTester
      @JesterTester  3 года назад

      @@tjwright Yes without a doubt, there are many different issues regarding the legs. Now that is the problem I had on the right side. But the left side the screw wouldn't screw into the plate alone. So I removed the backing plates on the left side and found the threads were definitely defective. The hole was oblong. So the only recourse I could have done was re drill a new hole a tap new threads or just use the thinner bolt. Of course I took the easier way out. Lol. But you are correct the need to addre this.

    We bought the Attack from Mars machine about 8 months ago. We don't use it much. My husband started playing it more this last week, and today the machine went black on the play screen and the digital score screen. The power stayed lit for the backscreen. We turned it off and turned it back on, and it lit up fine for a few minutes, then went black again. Turned back on and it came back up but don't know for how long. Is this a problem that other people are having? It is very frustrating with the amount of money these machines cost and only have a 90 day warranty.

    • @JesterTester
      @JesterTester  Год назад

      Hello, I am sorry to hear about this problem. There are two things I would check. One would be when you turn the machine on for the few moments it is lit, can you hear the pcb fan running. You would hear it better from underneath the cabinet. I know it would be difficult to get on the floor and listen to the bottom of the cabinet. But if the room is quiet, you still should hear the fan running when you turn it on. The other odd thing is that you said both the play field and the DMD screen come on and then go out. I would first check the main wire that comes out of the pcb box under the playfield that goes to your DMD screen. If that wire is secure, then the only thing left would be a bad PCBA card. It's so tough to diagnose these issues without being there to isolate it myself. If your back box is staying lit, then the power brick should be fine. I would definitely check the wire from the pcba under the playfield going into the back of the DMD screen. Some people have had loose wire connections with this. And others unfortunately had their PCBA cards overheat and go bad. I wish I could help further. Let me know how you make out with it. Thank you for letting me and others know about the issue.

    • @JesterTester
      @JesterTester  Год назад

      Also, one other thing. Do you know how to do the diagnostic test on your machine? I would run that if you can get it to initially turn on. I explain it a bit in one of my videos. I will leave a link for it below.

    • @JesterTester

    I purchased my marvel pinball a year ago and barely starting playing it a lot. A couple weeks ago the screen just started blinking green red blue black and gray after being on a couple of hours. I turned it off and a couple hours later it was working again. This last weekend the same issue but now when I turn it on the screen is still just blinking the same 5 colors and running diagnostics doesn’t fix the problem. Arcade 1up support suggested I pay 150 for a new LCD but I’m not quite sure that’s the issue. Any ideas?

      I am sorry this has happened to you also. It has also occurred to others with every table. AFM, Star Wars, and Marvel' A few things I will ask. First, is your fan inside the pcba working? You should hear it when you turn your table on. Also, is it stock, or has it been modded with the pinner mod? Also, is Arcade1up stating you need a new display monitor or the power upgrade with a new pcba card?
      Also, if all that checks out fine. You can try to turn off the unit. Move the flash switch forward on the pcba can. Turn your unit on. Don't touch any other buttons. Leave it on for a min. Turn the table back off. Go back to the back. Switch the flash switch back to the original position, and now turn your table back on. See if it boots up the way it should.

    Played it for a coupe hours yesterday and it went black and won’t power on now.
    Looks like the PCB might be fried?
    I get power in the power cable and in the power PCB but not in the main PCB.

      Hello Cal, I am really sorry to hear you are having these issues. I have spoken to many people who had issues like you had. Many of them started because their PCB fan wasn't working out of the box, or it stopped working after a while because of a loose wire connection. Of course they didn't know it but that is what caused a large percent of the PCB boards to fry. I have told everyone every time you turn on your machine you have to verify your fan is working. Listen up underneath while the volume on the machine is turned down you should hear the fan rotation. Of course I don't know if that was your issue it could have just been a bad PCB. I hope Arcade1up addresses this for you. Their customer service has been pretty good in the last few months. If you can ask for Amy to help you out. Thanks for letting everyone know your issue Cal. Sorry it had to happen.

    After about a hour of game play on the Darth Vader game i was on multiball mode and hit the new record high then as a ball was ready to be sprung into play it glitched. Couldn't launch the final ball. The flippers worked but not the launcher. Have you had a similar glitch?

    • @JesterTester
      @JesterTester  10 месяцев назад +1

      Hi Andrew, I have to say that all the issues I have heard about that is the first one I have heard of with that particular glitch. But, it may be all related to the same issue with the machine many have had. Including myself. After playing an hour or more, some machines have overheating or power issues. Which I have had myself, which causes gameplay glitches, lags, or burned up pcba cards. I had to purchase the new power kit from Arcade1up to get it running again. It blew my pcb. Many people have de-cased their pcba card housings to allow more air circulation and found it fixed the glitches lags and other issues All that said, yours maybe an issue with the optical sensor board that registers the plunger input. I would definitely suspect that part first off. I would reach out to Arcade1up for that particular part. If it happens again, see if you can launch the ball with the red button instead of the plunger. If it works, then the trouble is definitely in the sensor board for the plunger. If they both don't work, then the pcba may need the upgrade. Hope I was helpful. Reach out anytime if you have any other questions. Thanks for watching.

      Hi, I'm sorry to hear you are also having issues. Do you even have a game screen present? Or is it just a blue screen that never gets to the main screen? Open up the back and check all your connections first. Hdmi, cable running from PCBA card to second encoder, etc. If all wiring is connected. You can try turning off the cabinet. Going into the back and switching the flash switch to the off position. Then turn your cabinet back on for 3 min and don't touch anything. Then go back, flip the flash, switch back to the on position, and turn the cabinet back on. More than likely, though, your main pcba is going bad. Many others, including myself, had to purchase the updated power kit with a new pcba card from Arcade 1up to fix the issues with the Star Wars pinball machine, unfortunately. If you need any more help, please reach out to me.

    I've got a Star Wars pinball. I've probably played it for about an hour a few times. Solenoids, PCB, accelerometer all seem good still. But a possible widespread issue clouds my enjoyment. These machines aren't cheap. If there's a widespread issue, I'll be watching how Arcade1Up handles it. If there's a known problem with Wave 1, there should be recalls, extended warranties and replacements for early adopters. Otherwise, the lesson is: don't trust Arcade1Up products with your hard earned money and certainly don't be an early adopter of Arcade1Up products.

      I agree with you completely. But here is a little light at the end of the tunnel, so to speak. All the reports and emails I have been receiving have all been very positive experiences now. Many, people have checked in with their stories and stated they have played for hours on end. Put it through grueling testing with their families. So far everyone is saying theirs is working well. So their seems to be a balance shift to the more positive side. I hope it does continue that way, but only more time will tell. So until anything changes enjoy your machine to its fullest my friend.
