    Hi Andy my Swiss army knife has a small screw driver which screws up the cork screw . It came in handy putting a new screw into my friend mikes specs during a trip in the pyrenees cheers tony nshar

      Thanks Tony, I’ve bought some and can’t wait to modify some of the knives to fit the usage.. I even fancy potentially stripping and building them eventually…but small steps first 😂

    Nice review. I have the Hiker, which I find very useful for pottering about in the woods, doing camping and nature photography. The small saw is surprisingly useful for cutting small branches.

      Cheers for that, I think there’s a lot of us with an interest in them, I’m going build up different reviews and other related activity and essentially have a ‘SAK Saturday’ every week… I’ve bought several knives. So essentially started ‘collecting’ although my wife thinks I’m buying reviewing and selling them on 😂 I’ve got the Climber and Camper as part of the first lot, the Camper also having the Saw. Keep an eye for ‘SAK Saturdays’ hopefully we can add something to the world of Victorinox interest 👍🏻

    If you haven't come across The Wiltshire Man channel, Sandy, a biker and camper also professionally makes woodsman knives. They are well regarded and the waiting list is long but arguably the jewel in any collection. 😊

    I look forward to your reviews Andrew, love my knives and especially love Swiss Army knives. Just ordered an Alox Farmer as an EDC pocket knife, gonna pop to my local dealer and see if I can get a nice leather vouch for it. Did want to get an old Dutch Army Alox Soldier but they are a bit pricey on Etsy - maybe treat myself once I’ve paid my next tax bill! Thanks, Mike

      Thank you Mike🙏 I’m completely addicted and have a range of them to do some reviews and modifications… I’ll be posting one video a week at 5pm every Sunday! Also, I’ve been trying to find some older ones, unfortunately ebay have banned selling knives, but I want some to strip one down and rebuild a customised one.....I’ve got an itch that needs scratching 😂

    Excellent choice of knives!! I own 63 Swiss Army Knives (and counting) and nowadays I've preferred to buy multiple mid-size models instead of one beefier one. For example, a Climber, a Deluxe Tinker and a Camper instead of a Swisschamp. I do own three Swisschamps and really like this model but I've found over the years that's more practical to carry more than one slim knife on your person than one thick SAK. Anyway, you can't go wrong with a Victorinox knife.

      @thecampingbiker791  Месяц назад

      Oh goodness, 63 of them… on that basis I’m doomed! Thought I was doing well with 8 in the last couple of weeks… it’s a proper addiction! Wonderful things, I’ve bought a range of them, including Climber and Camper, for differing uses with my camping and travelling, but this little Bantam I’ve carried everywhere for last two weeks and it’s so slim I forget it’s in my pocket, although I’m looking at a small Alox one as we speak. I’ve justified to my wife as being much cheaper activity than all the bike and camping gear I buy…not sure she believes me 😂

      @@thecampingbiker791 My "collection" dates back to 1995 although it wasn't until quite a few years later that I began buying many a year. RUclips and Instagram have contributed to my preference for SAKs. When I was a kid, I loved watching the Rambo films and he would always use his knife to get things done. But a Rambo knife would be too much for a kid to carry, so a Swiss Army Knife was the alternative.

    Had my camper knife for year's, it's my survival knife, tin opener, bottle opener and corkscrew, it lives in my toiletries bag so it goes everywhere with me, keep the small blade as a scalpel
    I always get splinters and thorns.

    Interesting, for camping I use a penknife that has a knife, fork and spoon. It works for me, I am off to sharpen it know lol.

      That’s the beauty of choice and I’ve also had similar in the past, in fact I think I’ve still got one on the loft..time to hunt it down and what’s not to like about sharpening blades 😀

      was going to also say i bought a lambfoot pocket knife from a.wright in sheffield for my bestie as he wanted one for his job as a panel beater to do stuff like scrape filler out of seams, and he used it every day for years. I'd never heard of them before that but i bought one for myself at the time as well, and it's superb if you just want a quality workaday tool
