I got a little stamp in the passport and my application number. Will I get a second appointment for the interview?
Hi Jan, I'm a Malawian and moving to Czechia, and I don't know a single Malawian living in Czechia. How many Malawians are living in the Czech Republic? And Zimbabweans? (My husband is Zimbabwean living in Prague).
@@twambilirelaura4911 Yeah, I think we have moved about half of them 😂 No, probably not half but we have had a few clients from Zimbabwe :) I am nit sure about Malawi though, there were 2 in 2020 statistics :)

Is there some visa/residency/option for non EU citizens to stay in Czech for 6 months out of the year every year? For example, as a US citizen (among other nationalities) I can stay in Colombia for no more than 183 days as a tourist in a calendar year. But only 90 days in most of Europe. I'm not looking for residency exactly, but it's not a deal breaker if I don't get get it. So, is there some option that allows me to stay in Czech (or any other Eastern/northern European country) for about 6 months out of the year every year that i'm not aware of?
Hey! Not really unfortunately. All visas you apply for require you to stay here most of the year and fullfil the purpose of your stay (i.e. if you get a one year business visa, you should stay here more than half a year and keep earning money the whole year to extend it). I mean, if you only wanted to stay for a year, that is an option but if your plan was to keep soong it like this long-term, that would hardly work. I know there is an ageement between the US and Poland though, allowing you to stay past you 90 days. So you can stay 90 in the Schengen countries (other than Poland) and then go to Poland and stay some more.
It is 90 out of every 180 days. I bought an apartment (condo) in Slovenia and was able to get a temporary visa for 1 year, which I can renew every year. I am only a tax resident if I stay more than 6 months. After 5 years, I can apply for a permanent visa, but that will make me a tax resident. Most European countries will be the same way.
@@timkug3783 Thank you for sharing your experience! Czech Republic umfortunately does not offer any "golden visa" like buying a property or smaller investment.
Well I think Vietnamese could be more. Ive been in 4 regions , Ive seen em everywhere even in the most remote part, more like 80k and thats not even including the native Viet-Czech naturalized here.
I also think there is something wrong with those stats, or maybe problem is that you see Vietnamese because you go to their little shops on purpose, but you don't see them somewhere at street.
