These are the best value single cylinder adv bike on the market. I still own a te630 and 610, my adv bikes from times of olde. I loan them to friends these days, and they still impress. Mate has a new Superdual X and he loves it.

The only downside is the valves need adjusted constantly, and short oil change intervals.

@ToriMoto How often does Richard have to adjust valves and do oil changes?

@Richard S They are very good at the price point. We're riding with a friend tomorrow who has recently purchased a SWM RS500 - it replaces his old Honda 400. He's loving it, and it cost him around 8k brand new, on road. At that price point, there isn't much else out there that competes. Right now I'm in a love affair with my 2021 Beta 390RR-Racing. It's the best enduro bike I've ever owned. I've adventurised it and I am using it on many rides where the KTM 690 should be used. Can you believe that I've even considered selling the 690? Anyway get a few test rides on a few different bikes so that you can make an informed choice. Cheers !

I have a Superdual T since January 2022 and after modify it a little, I am super happy with it. I run the Anakee ADV tires and have add 4 teeth on the rear sprocket with makes it perfect for countryside and backyards, but a little higher reving on the highway. See my Sichuan videos where I used it

Thank you for this great video, what about a part two with more dirt road? What tires are you riding? Did you consider Pirelli scorpion rally str for this bike?

Nice. Some of the exact words I like. Comparing it to a DRZ. Have been lookinf at this bike for yrs now. And finding out the latest ktm 490 adventure news. This has become back on my radar. And there are more and more dealers popping up. Current bike is a DRZ400S 2011 with now over 42,000 miles on zero issues.

The gearbox is no different than the X model ( just rear sprocket size is different) T- 38 rear and X 42 rear ( front the same )
