    Your reviews is one of the best out there, honest and easy to watch. It got me trading in my Husqvarna TR 650 Terra for a Superdual T which I'll be picking up next week!

    Very good review. You covered all areas of the bike in an honest and considered manner. Thanks

    Thank you for this wonderful review. I wanted to buy this bike, but I was afraid that I wont be able to resale it. So I bought another single cylinder the 690 duke 2018.

    Good review thank you. I tested the X version and had gone to the Dealer with the cash burning a hole in my pocket as I really wanted to purchase this bike for long distance trail riding. Great motor as we all know and not a throwback as some have said. Unfortunately I agree with the review that the ergonomics of the poor footpeg position and the dreadful tank restricting the position of the knee and legs is a real problem. It was enough for me to walk away from a buy. Possibly if you are under 180cm you will be OK. I am 190cm The RS650R has better layout and would be a more suitable bike for a taller rider, as it can more easily be modified for your needs.

    This is one of the best reviews I have watched of any bike. It covers all the bases except for discussing the windscreen witch can affect long-distance comfort. I ride a KTM 690 Enduro and find that it is to vibration prone at high speeds and is therefore not a good freeway bike for long distance. This would be more pleasant, but heavier off road.

    You're 193cm tall. I'm 183cm. Out of the two I would choose the 'T' model. The seat is lower, yet the ground clearance seems to be the same.
    Sorry, but I just learned about this bike from watching an episode of Bikes n Beards. He had a used one and he loved it. Personally, I'm a thumper enthusiast and is pick this over the Yamaha Tenere' 700 any day.
    Very nice review.

    Good video. The engine is not the one of the 610 but the one of the 630. The 610 is a rotax engine

      @mototrailadventure2725 5 лет назад

      Yes, the engine is the same of the Husqvarna TE 630... and not only the engine. In fact the superdual is based on Husqvarna TE630 (made from 2010 to 2012).
      But, sorry to say, the TE610 is not Rotax engine. It was the the engine before the 630 and it also comes from Husqvarna.

    I want to live wherever that road is.
    The bike has VStrom mirrors on it, which are almost exact copies of old GPz mirrors.
    If they can bring it in at a decent price, and have proper dealer support, it should do OK in North America.

    Would really like to see your review of the SWM Superdual X. Both on and off road. Is there one?

      Speedy Working Motorcycles I believe. I think they are in what was the Husqvarna factory when Husky was owned by the group that owns MV Agusta. They sold the brand and the factory to BMW. After a few years BMW sold Husky to KTM, who were not interested in the Husky models or the factory. With Chinese backing (I think), the factory workers were kept on and the bikes, all based on the Husky models and even using stockpiled Husky parts, continued in production under the revived SWM brand. That was about 5 years ago maybe? Glad to see they are still in business. I have a 2008 Husky SM 610 from that factory and it is beautifully made with quality components - Marzocchi, Brembo etc.

    what is better? Benelli, Aprilia, SWM? This one reminds of a small Benelli TRK502

    • @JFMotorcycles
      @JFMotorcycles  6 лет назад +6

      Well. Aprilia does not have anything in this segment anymore unfortunately. Only comparison can be with the second hand Aprilia Pegaso Strada or Trail, but then we would need to compare it also with Yamaha XTZ 660 and potentially some others. So I will compare this bike to other new alternative which is Benelli TRK 502. The difference is huge.
      SWM: Super light, nimble, very potent in off-road (and this even more in the X version), with a single cylinder which can be less comfortable for a longer traveling for someone. Also should be very reliable at least from the point of view of the engine Husquarna TE610.
      Benelli: The feeling from this motorcycle is that it is very heavy (235 kg). The manipulation is more difficult and cornering is definitely not that automatic and easy like on the SWM. It is way way less capable in off-road but probably more comfortable for the rider and passenger. We don't know much about reliability of this engine, but it does not need to be bad.
      Both bikes does not have in Europe extremely big network of services and dealership, however Benelli has it probably larger. On the other hand, servicing SWM should be easier and possibly cheaper.

    Would love to see your review of the SWM 440cc silver vase or gran turismo...

    • @adep8619
      @adep8619 5 лет назад

      +1 from me too. There is a big step in price between SWM Silver Vase and the Superdual T, so is the Superdual T worth the extra money?
      Nice route shown in review of Superdual but it didn't look like JF was using the extra power of the 600 bike.

    What about typical single-cylinder vibrations during long highway sections? How is the situation at the handlebar and/or footpegs?

    They could have installed some cheap Chinese LCD for dash. It would add 20 bucks to the price and would add a little bit of modern look. It is shame they've put LCD 2000 model.
