@@pranabpahi313 this thinking does not works in todays world. We see women actively participating in military and all. And even earlier women were idealised as "power". We have seen pictures of godess durga and parvati making thousands of casualities. I think that there must be a solid biological reason behind this practice...

ma'am, were our ancestors wrong in describing the other world of Yaksh, Gandharv, Pret, Pishaach, Apsara, Yakshini, Shakini, Dakini etc. Do these even exist? If not then why they have been described in so much detail by our forefathers?? Please do a proper research on this.
All the creatures you mentioned above are fictional. Vedas don't mention anything about them. Even Vishnu, Rudra and Brahma are minor deities in Vedas. Whatever you're telling is glorified in Puranas. Purana stories are not meant to taken in literal meaning. But many of them have good morals which have to be followed. Some Hindu practices are scientific, but not all are. I believe science and religion should grow independent of each other. I do follow all the beliefs, even the ones which intellectuals label as blind, unless they don't cause any harm to any person.
@@doctorvatsa it does not matters where they are being mentioned. What actually matters is that they are still believed to be real, by many people. So, it becomes important to get clarified on the subject.....
