To be honest reviewer, I am not quite satisfied with the colour of Insta360 x3 after 3 months of uses experience. It has endless capabilities of shooting video but footage doesn't look eye pleasing and natural. I am thingking to purchase Gopro Hero 12 very soon.
I have both. They both are great cameras and each has its drawbacks. Really just depends on what you’re doing and your preferences. I love the convenience of the 360 though

The video quality from the insta360 x3 is so bad that it ruins its features completely. The desktop app is absolute garbage compared to their mobile app which is hell to use on a device screen. It's a cool concept but if your after decent looking and 360 is a must rather look at the the insta rs1 with the 1 inch sensor but be prepared to open your wallet wide.

Unfortunately insta 360 x3 can only shoot 30fps in 5.7k and 4k mode….bummer. I’d rather shoot in 177 degree with hero 12 black with max lens mod 2.0 4k 60fps
Insta 360x3 has a horrible image because it's always washed out trying to film through a fish bowl. Then it downgrades resolution to 1080 in 360 mode. Kinda cool and kinda SUCKS 😅 both overheat equally well and the GoPro will always dominate image quality in single lense mode. 😊
@@JM_Tech funny story cause I own one GoPro hero 10 and two Insta 360 x3's 😉. Since I have limited time for production I fly mainly with the GoPro to speed up the editing flow. 🤷
The X3 does not downgrade to 1080p in 360 mode unless you select export reframed video. The original purpose of a 360 camera is to shoot in 360 VR, not to "reframe", meaning to crop off the 360 footage thus reducing it to a normal, non-interactive video. The camera is only capable of exporting 5K in true 360 equirectangular mode, that is, 5760x2880. When you reframe it, of course the video would become a lot smaller. Why not try and export a 360 video without cropping? You might like it.
@@PanoGear we've been working with these cameras for a while now and I can agree with you. Unfortunately it's so time consuming and for my style of videos on RUclips. I have used it reliably shooting 4K 30 with decent quality videos and workflow times. I tried using it for dash cam in loop mode but it's utter nonsense trying to reframe over a 100 clips. I use the GoPro for a dashcam now and if I used the insta it would be in single lense mode for similar editing speeds.
Oh yeah it's super easy to record but as far as getting your footage you can't just take a 360 globe and then download it to your photos. But I get what you mean.
