These are all lot of the downsides of the insta360 X4 including the Gps, app, software and the Accessories and there is more! I made this video for the people that are considering the camera and so they are aware of what to expect! ❤
Before you give some bad feedback about a product and mislead people first do some research... 1) About export time and can't leave app in order to finish it's not Insta360 app problem but with your phone and slow cpu... I have no problems with s24 ultra when leaving app and export time is less (probably you are using an iPhone which it requires every app to be on screen in order to work) 2)You sound like you know nothing about videography. They are not lying about 8k video, its not their fault that you have no knowledge. 8k video refers to the pixels that the whole 360 video contains. So ofc it is not the same quality as a normal 8k or even 4k camera that shots in 16:9 or similar ratio. Please never review something out of your knowledge again or at least inform people that you have no idea about videography terms and just say that this is an observation and do not use misleading terms that you don't know what it means .This is the first time i am commenting something negative on a youtube.
I don’t understand why do you think that i should not talk about the export time just because you own a S ultra blah blah 😂 half of the people watching the video on an iPhone just like mine and i think they deserve to know that information. Second i do have a bit of knowledge about videography and that is why i share it and obviously you weren’t smart enough to understand. I made this video for the people to understand what is exactly 8k. I don’t see insta360 mentioning any of that on there promo video. @@Mikopssss He's probably a paid to search for negative or honest reviews and go on the attack - PSA - iPhones are the dominate creators choice 90%+ and they can can run apps in the background. @Mikopssss you obvisouly know how to edit videos from watching your video and the studio setup. This video must have taken what 10+ hours to make and I appreciate it - will I buy and Insta360 in the future? Probably - but I will go into it eyes wide open and but the cage, lens guards, etc and make sure my computer and me can handle the workflow.
If it is a phone issue to have app on screen and it takes 20min then it is a valid point phone can't be used, right? That 8k is understood that shared by 2 lenses but you got that wrong too. It is maths 8k, not resolution. 8k resolution is 4x4k, not 2x. Clever marketing as 4k +4k is not 8k. Also, shame it only does 30fps. I record vid on 60+ on my go pro and not to do slow mo but to avoid blur and jitter. That vid allowed me to review if it is for me and possibly still is but I need to take few bits into account. You won't find such vid from sponsored reviewers. For ecxample shame gps is not built in as in a gopro. To get telemetry I need to spend quite a bit more. Not what I expected. It is your first negative comment, so maybe worth rethinking if it shold ne your last.
This is a really annoying review: Take the SD Card, slide it into your PC, problem solved. Don't use a phone app for editing, use the PC-program: problem solved. Don't edit your videos on your phone, use Premiere or Vegas etc. several problems solved. For underwater take off the lens protection, problem solved. Buy some cloth to clean the lens, problem solved. For good audio, buy a wind-protected bluetooth mic, problem solved. Low light is no option for tis cam, you're right, buy a Pocket 3 for this! It's a special camera which opens a universe of possibilities, it's definitely not a cam for everything and everybody. It's like if you ride a motorbike and complain about missing safety belts, strong wind, a noisy motor etc. Just don't do it!
Wow, problem solved! Why didn’t I think of carrying an entire editing suite, a toolbox of accessories, and maybe a personal IT technician while filming? Truly groundbreaking advice. I’ll be sure to pack my PC next time I’m hiking up a mountain-because nothing screams ‘portable camera’ like needing a whole tech department to make it usable. If your phone is capable, GPS will also work via the app, while the app is being used to control recording. It works great that way. I use a dedicated phone for each of my cameras, good phones that work with insta360 app are now too cheap (e.g. cheaper than the GPS remote) to not have dedicated phones (no SIM needed). Pro tip: I ALWAYS drape a (clean) micro fiber cloth over my lenses before putting the lens cap on. That keeps the lenses clean and ready to use.

Thank you for point out all of these small things, especially in a product at this price point. i may not agree with all the points in your video - but most of the things you said are extremely important for someone who considers this as a tool rather than a simple toy. thanks for making this video and being honest :) the issue you mentioned when keyframing your footage in software sounds like keyframe curve interpolation, have you tried different curves between keyframes? e.g. a linear, smooth, flat or bezier etc..
I indeed tried that and it seems to fix the bug sometimes if i make sure to use curve for all the key frames which is weird because i did not have this problem at first.

You complained about export time. Didn't you think about just pulling the SD card and plugging it into your computer? That way it's already there and there is NO export time. You can then just copy the video file from the SD card to your hard drive in under a minute. Then you complain about the delete button. When you tap delete, it makes YOU confirm that YOU want to delete a file. This is a YOU problem. You openly admitted on this video that you are not reading what it's asking you to confirm. Y OU are just tapping away (ok) as fast as you can. This is NOT the camera's fault, its a YOU problem. Nothing needs to be done with the camera. It has second confirmation on deleting which is all that is needed. You just need to slow down and read before tapping away. The AI works the way it is supposed to. Just because it is not doing something the way YOU think it should, does not make it an issue. You're running, passing people and objects. The AI is is going to assume you want to redirect focus to those people or objects as you pass them. That is just normal. AI is not for everyone. I rarely use it. The GPS could have problems/not working correctly, not feeding the information to the camera. You need to get i replaced and see if that resolves that issue. The way you are trying to find issues where no issue exist, export time, you having no knowledge of videography. Not understanding the all features, modes, options and when to use them. The AI not working the way YOU FEEL it should. It sounds like you have buyers remorse and are trying to justify your dislike for the camera. It is a good camera. You just need to slow down and LEARN the camera. Learn the different modes and settings and when to use them.

Any experienced videographer/filmmaker knows --- first you save a backup copy of the footage BEFORE you do any editing. If you don't do this first, then you are at fault and a fool.
Thanks for taking the time. Heard about Insta's support. Doesn't sound good at all. Especially a 360 camera needs intense support. You answered some serious questions. For example: export time. The most dreaded topic. Editing is necessary with such type of camera. People use low and medium speed phones. So normally Insta should have detailed answers on this topic, and also answers on battery life related to resolution. For example, for their Go 3S they write something about 130 minutes, but actually if you want to take advantage of the small body and use only the small camera (that's the main selling point) without the big body, testers say it's about 50 minutes. Hey, I need this info from Insta, not from testers in the middle of a 20 minute video, which luckily I saw in the right minute. So it's about building trust. And this is where I see Insta needs to improve things. Build trust overall. Not just good engineering. Camera conspiracies didn't recommend Insta, and hey, I trust this guy. And the same goes for you. Thanks again ❤
Finally someone who speaks out! I've had a very long email with support and how bad they are on the PC Studio only! It took them 2+ months to solve. The App drains both the camera and the smartphones and the clips are not professionally exported with lots of low resolution and off colors. Also, the file format has issues, there is not support for 360 except their outdated Adobe plug-in..

Yes it does unfortunately. It gets hot and the battery charge while plugged to the pc but it does drain the battery while transferring more then it charge it so..
How can you complain about the camera shooting 8K 30 !? How about you make your own 64K 3600fps noctilux lens 720* camera if you're that smart... It was obviously stated what it can shoot and you knew before you bought it!
I knew it yeah and i said i would still buy it. what you did not pay attention to is that the 8k is not even 8k after export and it is not bad to ask for 60fps. Those problems help a lot of people to be aware of what they are buying. If those issues that I faced do not effect you then it is all good 😉 No need for the negative energy it is useless 🙏✝️
I ordered one X4 black friday to try it out. I also have gopros 10, 11, 12. I’ll try it out and see if i keep it or not. I was waiting for the GoPro Max 2.0 which keeps getting delayed.
To me it's good but one thing I used the premium lens guard for my x2, strong wind blew the tripod down, the premium lens guard popped open, I was thinking it's ok if only the premium lens guard get scratched. As I took it up the lens got scratches too
I am not experiencing any of the issues you facing? I find the Insta 360 X4 very intuitive and user friendly. In fact I was pleasantly supprised how easy it is to use.
Great to hear that. If it fits your need that is awesome. Some people find those a problem because 700-800 euro is not cheap for everyone. Some people save months to buy a product and they prefer something that perfectly fit their needs.
Regarding the editing, not sure if you're using Premiere, but the reframe plugin from Insta makes editing 360 in Premiere much less painful than the native software.
I can actually agree only the "Delete" button, it is positioned on a bad place in the app, but on the rest, there is always a work around. Regardless it is the only action camera that have those feature especially the editing app and again a mobile app. maybe its not the camera for you. Before I buy mine, I have done my full research on the its pros and cons and given it is the one that would be best for my activities
While this is a different list of problems, I had the same general complaint about my Insta360 One X: The main functionality of the camera is great, but there are dozens of little problems that make using it a frustrating experience. It's almost as if they stole the core technology from aliens or something, but then had no idea how to package it all up into a useable system. It is not surprising that they still have the same kinds of issues. This kind of thing is caused by fundamental problems with how they run their company as a whole.

With export time and editing, I don't understand why you are keeping the camera on. Why don't you download the video to your phone first... And then edit and export separate from the camera?
Export time won’t change if the file is on the camera or on my phone. I do not download the files because i film everyday and my phone will be full in a week. The reason why i have big sd card on the camera is to be able to film and work on these files on the camera.
@@Mikopssss I disagree... I own an X4 and it totally changes depending on where I export, computer, laptop, Android phone.... All have different times and processing power. Keeping it on the X4 is super slow compared to off of the X4
Try to film 13 or 15 min video. Speed it up x32 or 64. Add stats on it. Add motion blur. Add color boost. Export the video and see how long it will take.
@@Mikopssss it kind of feels like you don't truly understand technology. Doing all of those things would be a huge burden on the X4. Doing that list is soo much faster on my Desktop, Laptop, or phone, than it is trying to keep the files on the X4.

Bought the X1, X2 and now X4. Yes the additional gear is overpriced and yes the remote is a nightmare (the old remote is even worse) BUT: there are tons of pretty good and honest tutorials out there. Real tutorials NOT one of those up selling content. The Insta360 needs more attention than just hit the record button to get good results. If you need a 4k cam with 60 fps and a crisp picture even at zoom level 2 - 4 the X4 just isn't the right cam for you.
True, i have mentioned some of the good features and there are more. I love the camera but there is a lot of problems that the company doesn’t seem to care about.

Thank you for the review. I'm on hunt for X4, now i'm aware of some things that I don't like, but after renting and testing X3 it doesnt stop me from buying X4. Accessories are really expensive, so covers, cases and other non critical stuff will be bought from alli.

They tie creators down with yearly deals, that is why you're seeing videos talk highly about their products that don't disclose the sponsorship. Because they think the video is not sponsored, the creator is under contract. Many of us dropped them due to their abuse and illegal ways of doing things. They even made Will Smith post an Instagram reel without disclosing the sponsorship.
Oh wow that’s insane. I have seen the video from Jeven Dovey talking about it and i was shocked, i have never seen this before and i hate that. It is the main reason why i made this video, i found out they were shady at the release of the x4. It is a great camera but there is a lot of room for improvement. my experience with dji, i sent my osmo pocket 3 to repair and they sent me a new one within a week. I absolutely love the costumer support, very quick and very polite. With insta 360, until now two cases are open for two months almost regarding the gps and the motion blur and they have no clue what is going on, i have to send them a reminder. When i released the video i got email 2 days afterwards😐 Now they want to send me a dive case and in return, i have to make a small video explaining the things that need fixing for the technical team 😐

It seems like you make a lot of good points on this camera. Like it shoots hi def 360 that you can choose later to edit and for mounting on my helmet when shooting wavesailing on a wingfoil etc .. so if you are some internet personality who does not need 360, then the bad points you mention mean something. First of all, put on hi speed computer and edit it in premier or another editing program. So what do you recommend to take its place in a 360 camera?
I bought 3rd party lens guard because the ones they make are horrible. However, the water and sand issue remains... You think you got great footage until you try to reframe later with water drops in them. They need to make the perfect lens guard to fix this.
Depending on your need. Honestly i am a big fan of dji products. I contacted costumer support few months ago and got my camera replaced within a week. 10/10 costumer support, product has way less bugs and flaws. It is very important to have a good company behing the product because if something goes wrong your money will not go to waste. Like the GPS o bought is completely useless it does not even work and they sell it.
I hear you. But there's a work around every device complaints you mentioned if you learn how to properly adjust the settings. It's def not perfect out of the box. Coming from a GoPro, this thing blew me away. 👍
Fair enough and i have adjusted the settings of the camera but there is a lot of problems with the GPS, the accessories, the editing softwares and some with the camera which make the experience not as good as i expected it. Comparing to DJI product for example there is no comparison. Fast Costumer service, products quality, budget friendly, high quality accessories, etc.
I have the x3 and are super happy with the quality. Watching on my tv through youtube. And editing with app is so easy 👏. I understand the x4 is an improvement but I don't think it's enough 👏
@@Mikopssss the file size will be 8k if you export the whole 360 video (fish eye view). But if you reframe, file size will be less than 8k, because you are only grabbing a part of the sphere instead of the whole 8k sphere.
It depends on what you are looking for! If you are looking for 360 cam there is gopro 360. the x4 is still a good camera but there is no good company behind it they keep lunching new products without fixing the flaws of the existing products.
@@mrrexy4151 Yes, the Kandao QooCam 3 Ultra 8k has by far a much sharper image quality than the Insta360 X4, I have both. However, the Ultra does have (in my opinion) two negatives vs the X4. The Ultra does not have ISO ranges (the new shutterMax mode does not quite work well yet either). And the Ultra has what I call 'centrifugal' force effect, when you are deceleration/accelerating/turning the horizon line bends noticeably. This may work for mounts on a human, but not static mounts on a vehicle. The X4 does not have this issue. So with the Ultra I am constantly have to adjust the 'roll' to mitigate the issue.
@@Mikopssssgo pro is several years old and has own problems like offset stitching due to offset lenses. How dumb idea that was to do so. Battery life also shorter etc.

comparing what comes out of the stablization vs the footage before hand, I agree that it does a lot of work. but there are so many people in comment sections myself included who are devestated by how normal walking makes bouncy footage.
Dude, get the files on your pc or laptop and edit there. Export time and all the other problems will be gone. Got to agree on the low light performance and accessories though. The frame I bought is basically useless. The lens guard come off pretty easily. Lost one of the glass 40€ ones mountainbiking. 🤦♂️
I bought the camera for it’s app. It Makes it easier to edit on the phone. When i am in a festival performing, i can use my phone to edit, if i was editing a long youtube video the. The laptop make sense. On a hike i need 1 min video to post on the spot. The rest we both agree on

If you watch the whole video you’ll realize that i have iphone 14. The phone is not slow if that is what you mean. If you mean that this is not the camera problem. I am exporting the footage from the camera, it is part of the experience of using the camera and it is important to be true to the people and make them aware of what to expect when buying the camera✌️ This is not a hate video this is the good and the bad
@@Mikopssss no mater what you use those are heavy files, you think that video rendering should be a 10seconds job no matter how complicated you make your edit? It does not work like that in real world, processing that much of information is processor heavy operation, and even though we currently have fast phones and computers still stiching and processing 5.7 or 8k videos is not a joke! Camera is only recording the video it is not the camera that does the video post processing.
Again i know all those info but on the other hands hundreds of people will buy the product they don’t care about the deep details. So it is nice to be aware of what you’re buying and what to expect. If you don’t have a problem with export time then it’s all good, others that have problem with that maybe insta 360 x4 is not the best choice for them. It is different for everyone. I said in the video that is my personal opinion.
Great video. i appreciate everybody who posts videos with it, but i realized I just don't want the headache for 10 views of people who hardly care. Just going to selfishly enjoy the experience of whatever I'm doing. :) That being said, if I did shoot a lot of clips throughout the year and post them to many people - this is clearly the best camera.
My only regret is to have to buy same kind of accessories that I've bought for my X3 because the X4 have their own accessories, practically the same just different sizes 😅
Crazy thing is that I have some of the same problems with the insta 360x3 ,, u have to have great lighting , external mic,etc.. the samsung 360 was way better pic quality
I understand your frustration but as you mentionned, it depends on What you do with this camera. As for me I really love it for What I need to shoot (btw motion blur is working well for me, that’s weird !)

Shame I did not see this great camera but absolutely rubbish for the editing, wiped my SD card and would not read it for no reason and it is the one that came with it.

Cheap PC? Sure, I’m just over here struggling with my MSI 4070 RTX, 32GB RAM, 2TB SSD, and 24 cores. Maybe this ‘perfect’ camera requires a NASA supercomputer. Or maybe… it’s not me, it’s the camera.😉
I own X4, im recording 8k 30, export to 4k 10min video took 45min, editing is smooth quick, no issue with lady upade, im ak using Phone snapdragon 3g and 13gb ram Gpx data Can import Also from another gpx device, such as sport watch (im using Suunto) The text can tip direct from app, there are more fints etc
@Mikopssss im tracking movement with more stat, after i make download file and import to the video, insta app identity file with datas and Can show in video (hrt, Steps, speed, elevation, atitude..)

They are not lying about 8k video, its not their fault that you have no knowledge. 8k video refers to the pixels that the whole 360 video contains. So ofc it is not the same quality as a normal 8k or even 4k camera that shots in 16:9 or similar ratio.
Please never review something out of your knowledge again or at least inform people that you have no idea about videography terms and just say that this is an observation and do not use misleading terms that you don't know what it means .This is the first time i am commenting something negative on a youtube.

That 8k is understood that shared by 2 lenses but you got that wrong too. It is maths 8k, not resolution. 8k resolution is 4x4k, not 2x. Clever marketing as 4k +4k is not 8k. Also, shame it only does 30fps. I record vid on 60+ on my go pro and not to do slow mo but to avoid blur and jitter.
That vid allowed me to review if it is for me and possibly still is but I need to take few bits into account. You won't find such vid from sponsored reviewers. For ecxample shame gps is not built in as in a gopro. To get telemetry I need to spend quite a bit more. Not what I expected.

This is a really annoying review: Take the SD Card, slide it into your PC, problem solved. Don't use a phone app for editing, use the PC-program: problem solved. Don't edit your videos on your phone, use Premiere or Vegas etc. several problems solved. For underwater take off the lens protection, problem solved. Buy some cloth to clean the lens, problem solved. For good audio, buy a wind-protected bluetooth mic, problem solved. Low light is no option for tis cam, you're right, buy a Pocket 3 for this! It's a special camera which opens a universe of possibilities, it's definitely not a cam for everything and everybody. It's like if you ride a motorbike and complain about missing safety belts, strong wind, a noisy motor etc. Just don't do it!

If your phone is capable, GPS will also work via the app, while the app is being used to control recording. It works great that way.
I use a dedicated phone for each of my cameras, good phones that work with insta360 app are now too cheap (e.g. cheaper than the GPS remote) to not have dedicated phones (no SIM needed).
Pro tip: I ALWAYS drape a (clean) micro fiber cloth over my lenses before putting the lens cap on. That keeps the lenses clean and ready to use.

thanks for making this video and being honest :) the issue you mentioned when keyframing your footage in software sounds like keyframe curve interpolation, have you tried different curves between keyframes? e.g. a linear, smooth, flat or bezier etc..
I indeed tried that and it seems to fix the bug sometimes if i make sure to use curve for all the key frames which is weird because i did not have this problem at first.

You complained about export time. Didn't you think about just pulling the SD card and plugging it into your computer? That way it's already there and there is NO export time. You can then just copy the video file from the SD card to your hard drive in under a minute.
Then you complain about the delete button. When you tap delete, it makes YOU confirm that YOU want to delete a file. This is a YOU problem. You openly admitted on this video that you are not reading what it's asking you to confirm. Y OU are just tapping away (ok) as fast as you can. This is NOT the camera's fault, its a YOU problem. Nothing needs to be done with the camera. It has second confirmation on deleting which is all that is needed. You just need to slow down and read before tapping away.
The AI works the way it is supposed to. Just because it is not doing something the way YOU think it should, does not make it an issue. You're running, passing people and objects. The AI is is going to assume you want to redirect focus to those people or objects as you pass them. That is just normal. AI is not for everyone. I rarely use it.
The GPS could have problems/not working correctly, not feeding the information to the camera. You need to get i replaced and see if that resolves that issue.
The way you are trying to find issues where no issue exist, export time, you having no knowledge of videography. Not understanding the all features, modes, options and when to use them. The AI not working the way YOU FEEL it should. It sounds like you have buyers remorse and are trying to justify your dislike for the camera.
It is a good camera. You just need to slow down and LEARN the camera. Learn the different modes and settings and when to use them.

Any experienced videographer/filmmaker knows --- first you save a backup copy of the footage BEFORE you do any editing. If you don't do this first, then you are at fault and a fool.
Thanks for taking the time. Heard about Insta's support. Doesn't sound good at all. Especially a 360 camera needs intense support. You answered some serious questions. For example: export time. The most dreaded topic. Editing is necessary with such type of camera. People use low and medium speed phones. So normally Insta should have detailed answers on this topic, and also answers on battery life related to resolution. For example, for their Go 3S they write something about 130 minutes, but actually if you want to take advantage of the small body and use only the small camera (that's the main selling point) without the big body, testers say it's about 50 minutes. Hey, I need this info from Insta, not from testers in the middle of a 20 minute video, which luckily I saw in the right minute. So it's about building trust. And this is where I see Insta needs to improve things. Build trust overall. Not just good engineering. Camera conspiracies didn't recommend Insta, and hey, I trust this guy. And the same goes for you. Thanks again ❤
Finally someone who speaks out! I've had a very long email with support and how bad they are on the PC Studio only! It took them 2+ months to solve. The App drains both the camera and the smartphones and the clips are not professionally exported with lots of low resolution and off colors. Also, the file format has issues, there is not support for 360 except their outdated Adobe plug-in..
Sad to hear that and indeed someone had to say it for the company to improve and people to know the truth.

Yes it does unfortunately. It gets hot and the battery charge while plugged to the pc but it does drain the battery while transferring more then it charge it so..
How can you complain about the camera shooting 8K 30 !? How about you make your own 64K 3600fps noctilux lens 720* camera if you're that smart... It was obviously stated what it can shoot and you knew before you bought it!
I knew it yeah and i said i would still buy it. what you did not pay attention to is that the 8k is not even 8k after export and it is not bad to ask for 60fps. Those problems help a lot of people to be aware of what they are buying. If those issues that I faced do not effect you then it is all good 😉

I ordered one X4 black friday to try it out. I also have gopros 10, 11, 12. I’ll try it out and see if i keep it or not. I was waiting for the GoPro Max 2.0 which keeps getting delayed.

I used the premium lens guard for my x2, strong wind blew the tripod down, the premium lens guard popped open, I was thinking it's ok if only the premium lens guard get scratched. As I took it up the lens got scratches too
I am not experiencing any of the issues you facing? I find the Insta 360 X4 very intuitive and user friendly. In fact I was pleasantly supprised how easy it is to use.
Great to hear that. If it fits your need that is awesome. Some people find those a problem because 700-800 euro is not cheap for everyone. Some people save months to buy a product and they prefer something that perfectly fit their needs.
Regarding the editing, not sure if you're using Premiere, but the reframe plugin from Insta makes editing 360 in Premiere much less painful than the native software.

I can actually agree only the "Delete" button, it is positioned on a bad place in the app, but on the rest, there is always a work around.
Regardless it is the only action camera that have those feature especially the editing app and again a mobile app. maybe its not the camera for you. Before I buy mine, I have done my full research on the its pros and cons and given it is the one that would be best for my activities

While this is a different list of problems, I had the same general complaint about my Insta360 One X: The main functionality of the camera is great, but there are dozens of little problems that make using it a frustrating experience. It's almost as if they stole the core technology from aliens or something, but then had no idea how to package it all up into a useable system. It is not surprising that they still have the same kinds of issues. This kind of thing is caused by fundamental problems with how they run their company as a whole.

With export time and editing, I don't understand why you are keeping the camera on. Why don't you download the video to your phone first... And then edit and export separate from the camera?
Export time won’t change if the file is on the camera or on my phone.
I do not download the files because i film everyday and my phone will be full in a week. The reason why i have big sd card on the camera is to be able to film and work on these files on the camera.
@@Mikopssss I disagree... I own an X4 and it totally changes depending on where I export, computer, laptop, Android phone.... All have different times and processing power. Keeping it on the X4 is super slow compared to off of the X4
Try to film 13 or 15 min video. Speed it up x32 or 64. Add stats on it. Add motion blur. Add color boost. Export the video and see how long it will take.

Bought the X1, X2 and now X4. Yes the additional gear is overpriced and yes the remote is a nightmare (the old remote is even worse) BUT: there are tons of pretty good and honest tutorials out there. Real tutorials NOT one of those up selling content. The Insta360 needs more attention than just hit the record button to get good results. If you need a 4k cam with 60 fps and a crisp picture even at zoom level 2 - 4 the X4 just isn't the right cam for you.

They tie creators down with yearly deals, that is why you're seeing videos talk highly about their products that don't disclose the sponsorship. Because they think the video is not sponsored, the creator is under contract. Many of us dropped them due to their abuse and illegal ways of doing things.
They even made Will Smith post an Instagram reel without disclosing the sponsorship.
Oh wow that’s insane. I have seen the video from Jeven Dovey talking about it and i was shocked, i have never seen this before and i hate that. It is the main reason why i made this video, i found out they were shady at the release of the x4. It is a great camera but there is a lot of room for improvement.
my experience with dji, i sent my osmo pocket 3 to repair and they sent me a new one within a week.
I absolutely love the costumer support, very quick and very polite.
With insta 360, until now two cases are open for two months almost regarding the gps and the motion blur and they have no clue what is going on, i have to send them a reminder. When i released the video i got email 2 days afterwards😐
Now they want to send me a dive case and in return, i have to make a small video explaining the things that need fixing for the technical team 😐

I bought 3rd party lens guard because the ones they make are horrible. However, the water and sand issue remains... You think you got great footage until you try to reframe later with water drops in them. They need to make the perfect lens guard to fix this.

Depending on your need. Honestly i am a big fan of dji products. I contacted costumer support few months ago and got my camera replaced within a week. 10/10 costumer support, product has way less bugs and flaws. It is very important to have a good company behing the product because if something goes wrong your money will not go to waste. Like the GPS o bought is completely useless it does not even work and they sell it.
I hear you. But there's a work around every device complaints you mentioned if you learn how to properly adjust the settings. It's def not perfect out of the box. Coming from a GoPro, this thing blew me away. 👍
Fair enough and i have adjusted the settings of the camera but there is a lot of problems with the GPS, the accessories, the editing softwares and some with the camera which make the experience not as good as i expected it. Comparing to DJI product for example there is no comparison. Fast Costumer service, products quality, budget friendly, high quality accessories, etc.

But if you reframe, file size will be less than 8k, because you are only grabbing a part of the sphere instead of the whole 8k sphere.

It depends on what you are looking for! If you are looking for 360 cam there is gopro 360. the x4 is still a good camera but there is no good company behind it they keep lunching new products without fixing the flaws of the existing products.

@@mrrexy4151 Yes, the Kandao QooCam 3 Ultra 8k has by far a much sharper image quality than the Insta360 X4, I have both. However, the Ultra does have (in my opinion) two negatives vs the X4. The Ultra does not have ISO ranges (the new shutterMax mode does not quite work well yet either). And the Ultra has what I call 'centrifugal' force effect, when you are deceleration/accelerating/turning the horizon line bends noticeably. This may work for mounts on a human, but not static mounts on a vehicle. The X4 does not have this issue. So with the Ultra I am constantly have to adjust the 'roll' to mitigate the issue.
@@Mikopssssgo pro is several years old and has own problems like offset stitching due to offset lenses. How dumb idea that was to do so. Battery life also shorter etc.

comparing what comes out of the stablization vs the footage before hand, I agree that it does a lot of work. but there are so many people in comment sections myself included who are devestated by how normal walking makes bouncy footage.

Got to agree on the low light performance and accessories though. The frame I bought is basically useless. The lens guard come off pretty easily. Lost one of the glass 40€ ones mountainbiking. 🤦♂️
I bought the camera for it’s app. It Makes it easier to edit on the phone. When i am in a festival performing, i can use my phone to edit, if i was editing a long youtube video the. The laptop make sense. On a hike i need 1 min video to post on the spot. The rest we both agree on

If you watch the whole video you’ll realize that i have iphone 14. The phone is not slow if that is what you mean.
If you mean that this is not the camera problem. I am exporting the footage from the camera, it is part of the experience of using the camera and it is important to be true to the people and make them aware of what to expect when buying the camera✌️

@@Mikopssss no mater what you use those are heavy files, you think that video rendering should be a 10seconds job no matter how complicated you make your edit? It does not work like that in real world, processing that much of information is processor heavy operation, and even though we currently have fast phones and computers still stiching and processing 5.7 or 8k videos is not a joke! Camera is only recording the video it is not the camera that does the video post processing.
Again i know all those info but on the other hands hundreds of people will buy the product they don’t care about the deep details. So it is nice to be aware of what you’re buying and what to expect. If you don’t have a problem with export time then it’s all good, others that have problem with that maybe insta 360 x4 is not the best choice for them.

Shame I did not see this great camera but absolutely rubbish for the editing, wiped my SD card and would not read it for no reason and it is the one that came with it.
Sad to hear that and i could easily expect that from this brand. Because their focus is on releasing new products and not fixing the problem of the existing one.

I own X4, im recording 8k 30, export to 4k 10min video took 45min, editing is smooth quick, no issue with lady upade, im ak using Phone snapdragon 3g and 13gb ram
