Ah finally, one of the best classes for one of the best units. I like to run her as a Lance Griffin first for a couple of reasons: -Her magic growth didn't kick in yet (Chloé 10/1 Griffin fixed mode: 11.65 str, 6.95 mag) -Can cause a lack of A lance users for Représailles, a very good lance you get for free from Ancient Well - If she is your first promote, it can also cause a lack of any good early game lance users if you use the FEH bonus as Alear wants the sword earlygame usually. - Not enough Levin Swords available yet compared to units that want it -Javelin to ORKO mages that are the most used 1-2 range enemies early game. Most physical enemies are 1 range. After she nears her lvl cap and her mag growth kicked in more (Chloé 10/20 Griffin fixed mode:18.3 str 16.45 mag), you can opt to switch her to sword Griffin to reset her lvl and inherit sword power X to Levin Sword stuff. Chloé is pretty flexible that she could also go Wyvern to go more on the physical side, can't go wrong with either of her promotion choices.
Directly comparing strength and magic doesn’t take into account that the majority of enemies have lower res than defense, so that on its own will help to even out her bases in a practical setting. The better 1-2 range of Levin compared to Flame Lance allows for Sword Power to have more presence also because it allows her to enemy phase more effectively and thus get more damage out of Sword Power. I do agree that she’s the best user of Fensalir and Représailles early, but units like Louis or Sword/Lance Wyvern Lapis are also very valid candidates for using these weapons if choosing to train them, so it’s not a major opportunity cost. Also, there’s no reason to keep Chloé in a class I view as worse performing just to use some weapons, as it’s a far better choice to make her a better unit and just not use those weapons on anybody, even if the gameplay gap is fairly small between them.
@@rattyxoxo7397 I change her to sword later, so I don't miss out on that build. I don't have enough levin swords to go around early nor the SP to buy Sword power 2+ and Canter. I had a better experience putting her in Lance Griffin until I can do the Sword Griffin build and reset her lvl. Enemies early game actually have more res on average than def, since the majority of early game enemies are mages or Pegasus knights. The bosses Ivy and Hortensia got more res than def. The sword, lance and axe fighters only have 1-3 more def than res leaving only armors where you deal significantly more damage with magic. It's the mid-lategame when they promote that their defense and res caps become more severe (7+ gap)
Good vid, I recommend stating with the abilities are when you show them though! I’m not sure new engage players looking for build options would recognize Lunar Brace or Staff Mastery just from the icon, or which engraving is which
2 things I'd mention. The first is that Momentum is another cheap, but useful damage boosting skill that she could inherit early. It's basically a level 3 power skill for 1 hit for only 1000 sp. That alone will have her one-rounding things for a lot of the game if you're on an SP budget for whatever reason The next, is that, if you're running Sword Power 5, EVERY hit of Leif's quad attack gets the damage buff, so that's a free +40 Damage, and apparently every hit is affect by Momentum as well, so if you run that it's another +24.... I haven't tested the Momentum part, I've only heard of it, but I do know that SP 5 works. So that alone makes Leif actually a pretty strong and reliable delete button
Update. Tested momentum. It works as I've described. You still need decent stats to deal damage so armor knights will still wall you but........ That's not an issue for any of your magic users

Watching this one really makes me want to use her as a High Priest just to see how well she runs on that class. Also if you go physical and want to keep her speed up with build you can level her as a berserker for a little bit and you really don't lose out on anything except the 15% magic. I'd go eight or twelve levels in berserker for the enhanced STR / Build but wouldn't over invest. Since the game is structured for smaller deployments I don't consider over investing in carry units as a bad thing. (Two carries, four damage units and a utility).
I think Sword Griffin Chloe is better for Magic focused builds but Lance Griffin is better for Mixed sets. Flame Lance definitely isn't as good as Levin Sword but it is still sufficient enough to make use of the benefits of magic imo. The tradeoff is that Lance Griffin with Lance Power will allow for slightly more powerful physical hits, which I like for dealing with opposing Griffin Knights. If you have the DLC Emblems, Chrom is stupid good on Griffin Chloe because he gives Str, Spd, and Dex, to boost her offensive output and Magic +10 when engaged to make her magic nuking comparable to Sages.
I went completely for her avoid stat. I upgraded the Represailles to Lvl 5 as fast as I could then engraved it with....Marth? to reduce the weight. I got an S Bond ring thats better than any Emblem ring. At this point, she can't be hit, she attacks twice agains every enemy and criticals at leadt half thr time. So I guess the biggest difference was the Represailles.
Invest in better chloe is the worse unit in the game her stats are poor she has no drip invest in better like vander or his son if you invest in them they will KILL anything in there paths

Sage Chloe also makes a really great Sage. It also makes her personal skill a little easier to set up as well.
