Due to some weird changes with the behavior of which flowing water interacts with the lava, it has become impossible to lava cast structures like towers. I presume they were changes because before 1.16 lava casting worked normally.

Great video. I was casting in survival using lava flowing over water source blocks with makes stone. I messed up and accidentally did lava casting making cobblestone. This video helped fill in the gaps, thank you. Looking forward to more videos. Great presentation, thanks.
cool im in a server where these guys spent like 5 months building stuff with details like buttons on the walls for extra details lol but now i can make it better BY COVERING IT WITH AN EVEN BETTER LAVA CAST AND I THINK THEY WILL RLY APPRECIATE MY HELP THANKS MAN !!
Thanks for the video, i now know how to make an entire town/city using only lavacasting (homes towers masive castles and so on), and they all just give more blocks then what i lost when making them.

You can actually cast hollow structures with chaotic interiors as well. Create an expansion cone and place lava, then water. Then dig a hole and help guide the water down making chaotic floors of cobblestone that look like fungal staircases and platforms and becomes full of dangerous mobs.
I've been playing Minecraft for 8 years now, mostly by myself and not really watching what others are doing. I'm shocked I never once thought about using lava as a building tool... Mind blown. What have I been doign with my life *stares at castle he spent three years on with disdain*
I got the idea from griefers to experiment with lavacasting myself in single player survival I would get annoyed at some maps being generated with too much ocean in Vita Edtion 1.0, so I started adding neat "cobble islands" one one map.
I used one of these on one of the builds I made on an anarchy server to reinforce it lol. (I havn't played it in like 2 years and when I came back it was looted a bit, and destroyed epic)
I was playing around with lava, trees and water one day in creative. That was weeks and weeks ago. So guess I discovered LavaCasting before I know it was a thing. I haven't tried it yet, but I assume the huge jungle trees would make a good template for a nice tower with a bunch of space inside.
