No, The people in game hear your voice from the headset. The secondary mic that would be connected to your computer is how your stream hears you as I show in the video.

Congratulations on getting the ps5! And thank you for watching and for commenting! I tried using a wireless headset before for Streaming but the only thing that had all audio working correctly was a wired connection and getting the elgato chatlink cable.
Awesome video but I do have 2 questions 1 if im using a blue yeti mic where would I connect that to to get audio and 2 do I have to have the elgato software and streamlabs obs software open at the same time in order to stream or how would I navigate it?
Thank you so much for watching and I'm glad you enjoyed the video! Connect the blue yeti to your pc and in obs for mic on the right side where you see the volume levels select your blue yeti as the mic you want to use. And no you do not need to have the elgato software open at the same time with obs. As I show in the video you would have to add a video cature device in sources and then add your elgato capture card from there. If it ever shows black for the video capture device just select the video capture device under Sources and go to the video capture device settings and deactivate and then activate and that will fix that issue. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Or do i have to open it every time i want to stream?
Glad you enjoyed the video and glad I answered the majority of your questions. Once you have updated the settings in the elgato software, you don't have to open the app anymore unless you want to adjust the settings for the capture card again.
Yo! So I bought an Elgato HD60 S+ do you think I could still use it on the Elgato Game Capture software? Or do you think I should return it to get an HD60 S?
No, you're fine. The software will aslo work with the HD60 S+
So my question is i use my ps4 headseat for both game and stream chat because im unsble to afford a seperate mic. I just got the chat link and copied ur settings does that mean ill be able to hear my stream alerts through my one headset now? Im still new to all the streaming setup & gear needed lol.
My problem is my playstation turtle beach headphones don’t have the aux port it has the port they use on ps5 controlllers so how do I use the splitter? Or will I have to get another mic?

Hey I was wondering why the game chat audio doesn't pick up whenever i record gaming videos using the elgato hd60s on ps5. I never had this problem using ps4 all I did was switch to ps5. It picks up the game music/sounds but not the audio from people on their mics & capturing that is the most important to me. I use an macbook air 2017 if that helps
Thanks for the video!
How can I hear my desktop audio for alerts and music while in stream??
How would you go about playing your PS4 game on your monitor without having to deal with your stream overlay in the way of the gameplay?
You can look at the gameplay from the actual game. You don't have to look at it from obs.
Hi. I got the elgato to capture game audio with the chatlink and set the settings to analog. Thanks! :) But I still can't hear my friends or myself on the stream when we use party chat. Any ideas? I'm on PS5 with Elgato HD60s+
Same. I can hear my friends, just not my own voice.
So you need a basic headphone and a like streaming headphones??
okay , question- so do I need the chat link cable or can I just plug my headset into my computer... im confused about that . also I dont have Streamlabs only stream elements OBS - where do I find those settings at the end of this video?

However, when I add my video capture device in streamlabs with the HD60S+ , I'm getting a black screen. I already deactivated and activated, but still getting nothing. Any thoughts?
Within the elgato software settings do you have Xbox one selected as the device you're using?
@@DruManjiDrew That's the thing. I don't see anywhere within the 4K Capture Utility settings to select my Xbox one as the device I'm using. Huge headache because it seems so simple using the Game Capture but ofc it doesn't support HD60S+ lol D:

Hey I have the new xbox one wireless headset it doesn't have an aux jack on it at all. Is it possible to capture sound through the aux jack in the back of an Xbox going to an elgato aux jack??
That might work. It's worth a try. Try it out and let me know if it works.
You are such a lifesaver! I finally got the Elgato audio picking up but it's not picking up my audio, my voice at all: and this is with the chatlink pro connected. Do you have any advise? I even restarted and refollowed the steps; still nothing.
Set to analog settings not hdmi 😅
thanks for the video. how do i set up my microphone to the elgato so i can record video gameplay from my elgato and separate microphone? with no chat mixer
You would have to connect a microphone to your computer and that is how you would be able to record video gameplay while your elgato is connected to your console.
After your done on el gato software, I go back to my obs but that video capture device does not appear on the mixer??

When I use my chat link, I have a pair of corsairs plugged into the cord that connects to my controller, while using a Blue Yeti for commentary.
My game chat keeps complaining that they hear an echo, but I don’t hear it. All of my monitors are muted and I can not figure out how they could possibly be hearing an echo. Any ideas on what it could be?
Good morning, I can not seem to find the game capture download only the 4k one. Do you have another way for me to find this?
I'm getting the white light then the red ligh. Is there a way to figure out what the issue is?

1 question, can the stream hear your voice from the headset that is plugged in to the chatlink?
No, The people in game hear your voice from the headset. The secondary mic that would be connected to your computer is how your stream hears you as I show in the video.
getting my ps5 next week and im planning on buying a wireless headset for gaming, im very worried i will have trouble setting up my audio for obs. i need to her obs and the game chat and vice versa. ill refer back to this video when setting it up but do you have any early recommendations for wireless headsets?
Congratulations on getting the ps5! And thank you for watching and for commenting! I tried using a wireless headset before for Streaming but the only thing that had all audio working correctly was a wired connection and getting the elgato chatlink cable.
I'm using Astro A50 Gen 4 for my Xbox SX. I have the cable. How would I connect the cord. To the charging dock then to controller?
It would have to be directly to your controller

Hi, so using the 3 band jack splitter in controller will allow me to use my headsets microphone still?
Yes
@@DruManjiDrew Nice, looks like I have to buy one now.
I tried a different method where I used a 2nd controller and did 3.5mm from that to Audio Line in on PC (My primary controller connected to headset as normal).
That works, however the only thing you can't hear with that method is voice chat as that only gets delivered to the primary controller.

I would think it would be your laptop that it might not be powerful enough to handle the stream since it’s not a gaming laptop or a laptop with proper specs to handle streaming.
