You are the master in your work honestly, whenever I encounter a problem with my Audi A4 I watched your videos and get some lessons, I solved many problems on my car....You the best
I like your videos. But you worry about what people are going to ask too much. Just explain what youre doing and then answer questions in the comments, it drives engagement that way and RUclips moves your video up in the search. If you cover every single point in your video people have short attention spans and just move on to a different video. Keep up the great videos.
I had the same air leak, I changed the breather and was still doing the same, took it to Audi and the rear crankshaft seal had gone, it sucked it’s self in. New clutch new seal job done.
Super cool spot. That’s ballsy going that far out. With some panels off and not screwed together 100%. You know what to steer clear of. But still. Car can handle it. Always could use a little more power.. S mode on.
Hey napttown, I bought a 2015 a4 s-line 2.0 6 month ago , I can't seem to get more then 450km a tank ,I run premium ,changed coils and plugs, air filter still no improvement . Any advice brother ? Much love from Toronto Canada love the videos bro!
That’s about 280 freedom miles. That’s about all you can get unless you are driving highway the entire time. The most I have ever got from a tank was 378 with 13.3 gallons which was 28.3 MPG and that was driving 60-80mph continuously on a trip. These days I rarely drive my car and I only get about 200 miles per tank because my trips are all very short. I think you are normal. Unless you are doing long trips.
I’ve noticed if I stay 60mph or under I can get 30+mpg on the highway. City traffic and acceleration kills mpg. Sometimes I find locked rusty caliper slide pins on the front brakes that’s about the top thing to check unless you have engine codes
Its double the price if you have your own parts. Its triple the price if you watch and ask questions. And four times the price if you already tried to fix it.
Hey, NaptownTuner, I want to support your claim that we shouldn’t fix just the membrane on PCV. I’ve done the experiment, and checked the inner valves. The old assembly was blowing in all directions. New one, only one way. So, don’t let that turbo blow right in your crankcase! Look at comparison: ruclips.net/video/Uw0L0X7WZnM/видео.html
Yes please I second this would be externally helpful I’ve been trying to find this pesky vacuum leak for days now and I wanna be able to diagnose it instead of dishing out the cash to have a mechanic come fix the leak
First place I’d check is that diaphragm on the PCV assembly, Naptown has a great video on that entire assembly on how it regulates vacuum on the intake and boost on the turbo.. check the rubber diaphragm and the plastic quick connectors on the assembly and intake, check the purge valve connection that’s prone to leak as well
Hey man. My emergency latch in the trunk of my A5 literally snapped off. Battery was dead, I climbed through the back, removed everything backwards, and I had to spray the terminals clean to get it started. Once I got it started the trunk literally will never open again. You don’t have to tell me how to do it, I’ve just seen nothing on this topic and I feel you of all people would know. Is this fixable? Or am I gonna have to deal with a broken trunk forever 😵💫
Hi I appreciate all your efforts to show us all the issues with this cars I have 2010 2.0 t Passat and idling rough also there is CEL with code system too lean at idle bank when I disconnect s pipe from pcv to maiflow and I put finger engine running better I assumed on pcv and changed but again it’s rough on idle I did the same thing put the finger in mainflow and it’s running better, what can be?
Have you ever came across issue with worn camshaft that caused loss of compression and created misfire in idle ? i have 1.8 tsi and just had this issue, fixed for now with new exhaust camshaft, apparently been twice upgraded by VW, looked all round youtube and google seems like nobody yet had described such a problem with gen 3 ea888 1.8.
It’s the most notorious issue for the first generation 2.0t 2005.5-2008 engine in the USA that’s what we got in those years. Bad high pressure fuel pump follower design needs checked every 30-40k miles for wear
@@NaptownTuner I have a air leak they did a smoke test an said it was coming the bottom so I don’t know if it’s the rear main seal or I need a brand new breather set up
Please help!! I Have a 2011 Audi A4 2.0…. The spark plugs and coils have been replaced along with a new throttle body. My car was running great for 3 days and now it’s running terrible! This is my only vehicle and I need answers. It has a hard time taking off. The dash will blink EPC every now and then but it’s gotten more frequent.. then my engine will die. Once I start it back up, it will happen again in 15-30 minutes of driving it! I need answers. 😢😰

His goal is to give out all the info he can. He makes plenty of money rebuilding hundreds of these 2.0's over the last 12 years.
@@garrettottparrinello922 he has stated multiple times that he wants to grow the channel and make some money off it.

Yep same thing with my Audi, its getting fixed soon.
It's like a roller coaster ride at the end of this video
Ya I know you hate when you go on tangents but I’m listening…love the vids
We'll need to call you the, "Remote Renaissance man," from now on.
I don't know if that was Indiana but that's beautiful. Great vid!
Master of EA888 will find solutions 👍👍
Ohhh She's a BRICK HOUSE!!! She's mighty Mighty!!!!
Your audi turns into rally car really quick😁
Allright NAP, how much does it cost to get you to pull up w/ block n rebuilt head n get it going again? I'm in Ohio

"this is my test vehicle" Naptown cracks me up
From time to time I also get them beat up too, those B8s
Is there follow up video of you rebuilding this particular engine?
That drive you took reminds me of tail of the dragon
Is there a way to re-set the service due notification without having a scan tool, or going to a dealership? I have a 2011 Q5
Expert and pragmatic.
What would you have seen as a result with the a smoke test for this leak?
I got no whistling sound, but the vacuum under the oil cap and dipstick cap is high. Does this mean PCV? the diaphragm or the whole unit?

Hey Neptune I been look for a leak on the water pump side anyway to contact you to send photo of any suggestions

Can you walk through how to locate the vacuum leak on this engine? Dose the air go throttle body before PCV, like how the air flow in general. Thx
