Your reaction is exactly the same as mine... This is the best fragrance I've tried in more than a decade... I might even say it's my favorite Guerlain (previously Mitsouko) which is almost blasphemy but... It's unbelievable... I'm obsessed and in love❤
I love love love this perfume! It's so unique and brings an overwhelming feel of peace and calmness in me! An everlasting and deep connection with nature in this smell. Must be a sample from the heaven!

This fragrance is all about the ambergris! Ambergris, ambergris, ambergris! You can distinctly smell the ocean in this fragrance especially on the dry down where Im left with the scent of freshly collected sea shells on a crisp bright day. The incense is noticeable but it isn’t the star attraction. If you like animalistic scents than definitely give this a try! It was love at first sniff for me. 10/10

This fragrance is to die for! I had a bottle of this in the old packaging that I purchased at the guerlain spa at the Waldorf Astoria hotel in NYC! It is perfect in every way! I’m so glad it comes in a much bigger bottle and it costs less in the newer packing! I will be buying again soon!
This one is nowhere near as amazing good as Santal Royal and Ambre Eternel. I have the same bottle of Encens he has and I don’t get anything but a HUGE ambergris bomb with a touch of rose. It’s very very dry. The ambergris is not real either
@@Puddycat00 I bought Encens, it grew on me a lot. I layer it with oud essential. It has real ambergris BTW they are very proud of this creation because of the real ambergris in a very high amount.
You should try Oud & Santal from Cartier. The top kinda reminds me this one but it's not as transparent but instead quite rich in the base with the oud and all the other notes. I think it's even better than this. Good review... Take care 🙏
This is in my top 3 fragrances easily. I agree with everything you said about it besides the fact that you can’t detect any incense. To me it’s about 60% ambergris 40% incense. It’s quite a prominent note to me.

I hate to tell u but no it doesn’t contain actual ambergris. It’s a very well made synthetic . I know ppl that can easily detect real vs fake ambergris. And every one said this contained synthetic ambergris. And ppl who get a reaction to the fake ambergris have also said that there is fake ambergris in this as well. Even so, I still like this one very much. But it’s such a skin scent from first spray . They did an incredible job with this ambergris accord. He deserves an award for this creation.

Bois wreaks of just awful body odor. Its of nasty. When that fades though, I do enjoy the incense in it
