The Tomahawk supports up to 4133Mhz memory speeds, wouldnt it be better to purchase 4000Mhz / 4133Mhz memory rather than the slower 3.6Ghz kits you recommended in the video?
Anything faster than 3.6Ghz and the Infinity Fabric bus will likely divide to account for the higher memory speed, according to AMD, this is not optimal. Sticking with 3.6Ghz memory at this time the IF will stay on a 1:1 ratio.

No problem Steve, although its worth noting that things have now changed in late 2021. The best CPU at around £250 is now the Intel Core i5 12600K 👍

It depends on the resolution and settings, but at 1440P it should easily hit 60+ fps maxed out.

However id now recommend waiting for the new nVidia RTX 3060Ti graphics card to come back into stock, or if you can afford, the RTX 3070. You cant really get one now due to the supply issues. So wait until February and you should get one for the MSRP / RRP.

Just subbed excellent review too imo. Id love to build my own but I'm a novice lol. I just need something that will run football manager with all leagues and players loaded as my 12 year old laptop blew the motherboard with the processor heat/overheating. Also I've always gone with Intel and amd ive no clue about. 😅

There's a couple of changes id make to update the spec in 2021, but If you only ever plan to play Football Manager then you have a lot more options than if you plan on playing AAA games like Cyberpunk.
Also Intel have dropped their prices and their latest parts are now competitive, a great budget option of their current gen tech would be the Intel core i5 11400F CPU with a B560 Chipset motherboard.

RGB looks so sweet! Waiting for nVidia to drop their next GPU, those RTX 2080 prices are rediculous. Im hoping AMD's new Ray Tracing cards will give them some serious competition when they finally arrive. nVidia are as bad as Intel if given free reign of the market. £1.5K GPU's lol! AMD's new Ray Tracing parts look promising, im rooting for AMD man, they need to put an end to all this premium pricing madness. Come November we should hopefully start seeing big shifts!

The Ryzen 9's are awesome if you can afford! However at over £400, its probably a good idea to wait until the release date announcement of the Zen 3 CPU's later this year, if you can wait ;)

Hey I am looking to build my first gaming pc do you think this guide will still be viable in July 2021. If so thank you for your help this video has been a big help!
A couple of changes i would make are the GPU, which should now be an RTX 3060Ti / RTX 3070Ti, or if you plan to game at 4k 60fps then an RTX 3080 / RTX 3080Ti.
The CPU i now recommend would be the AMD Ryzen 5 5600X with a B550 Chipset motherboard.
Everything else is good to go :)

I noticed the 2070 Super is only around 10% faster than the vanilla 2070, thats not worth the additional £100+ imo, rest of the spec is spot on though!
Well if you factor in the 2070 Super uses the TU104 GPU of the 2080 (the vanilla 2070 uses the inferior TU106 same as the 2060 cards), and has additional Ray Tracing cores and SM's, when it comes to future games, especially when it comes Ray Tracing, the 2070 Super should be much faster that the vanilla 2070.
Still though, £110 is still quite a chunk of change more to pay!

You could def have done better, the 2060 is no match for a 5700, you can find a 5700 Challanger for little more than what cost a 2060.
Well i went for the 2070 in the guide, not the 2060, as the 2070 has more RT cores and SMP's than the 2060, for just £400. I confirmed in the video what you said, that the 5700's perform well, but unfortunately do not support Ray Tracing and drivers are not as stable.
The last 5700 i tested i was getting a lot of anomalies. If you check the reviews for the AMD cards you'll see many similar reports so i know im not alone.
For those reasons, i recommend the 2070 for £400 at this time. This may all change when RDNA2 release later this year, i certainly hope so as the RTX 2080's are daylight robbery! Always good to hear alternative opinions so thanks a lot for watching and commenting. 🙏
Ahh i see you only read the description. I only linked the 2060 SUPER there as the 2070 isnt available on Amazon.co.uk. Also its the 2060 SUPER, not the vanilla 2060 ;)

GamerGrade ya sort of bro, some of the parts were recommended by friends, now lacking of good gaming mouse, looking forward mice recommendation from your channel bro.
for those curious, this spec runs buttery smooth in Witchers 3 in ultra settings; Geralt spins his sword like helicopter up to sky. For the price, it costs me about S$ 2019 (about £ 1160 after converted)
The best value gaming mouse for the money is probably thew Corsair M55 RGB Pro. However you may need something more advanced like the Razer Naga Trinity if you play a lot of MMO's etc. The best wireless mouse is the Corsair Dark Core RGB Pro.
