I’m not affiliated with the maker of the video, but want to throw in that participatory singing (aka singing for the hell of it) is a thing, but somewhat hard to find. Look up Shape Note singing communities (“sacred harp” is one), or “pub sing.” I’ve always found music sung in community for the heck of it to have so much soul.
