When I first got my '15 WTP Justice complete bike, I saw "Made in Taiwan" engraved on the frame. I felt kinda sceptical about the quality. However, after watching this video, I feel bad for the workers because most of them are women and they look very hardworking. I should not judge their quality. With this, thank you for making my bike :)
My 15' WTP volta said the same like whaaa .?! Aside from some aftermarket parts here and there she's held up great! Feel free. check out my edit in my vidz that's the volta
Cool, but it would be cooler if trade deals didn't make this kind of business unfeasible in western countries. Wouldn't it be cool if the things we purchased were made in the communities they have been purchased within ? The pollution savings alone would be extraordinary.
Marc Ariss what trade deals are you inferring to? Everything is more expensive in western countries from materials to labor. And why is it important for our bmx bikes to be manufactured in western countries anyways?
I remembered when gf was American made. It makes you me think on how many errors are made on a frame to wear if a weld is not done right it’s going to crack and break. Those gts don’t have a like a car does like back in the day. If there was a problem with it you take it back and fixed it and repaired it and you didn’t have to do anything. That’s why when you paid for a 400$ bike you got your money$$$$ worth not like these 800$ bikes.
does it not bother anyone that no bmx rider is involved in the industry its out sourced and made by people who have no involvement in our sport long live s&m FBM and standard in house manufacturing all the way my money is going into riders pockets not some big fucking company that could not care less about the sport
i wish i could buy a frame straight from the factory without paying brand markup for a CULT sticker. guess if i get a GT complete and slap a sticker on it its the same thing right?
Damn I wished I had a automatic truing machine during my bmx career I was paying the bike shop like every other week til we got real cool and the taught me how and let me use the shop whoever I wanted for repairs I even took a couple shifts there fora few extra bucks on weekends but always told them just give me some new grips and pedals and were straight they always threw in a $50 piece for me good ol times in high school man miss the simpler times
The same people, but the bike companies will be Taiwanese instead of American. America gives everything away, and the world will keep taking from America until there is nothing left to take. Giving away knowledge about engineering, manufacturing, and business processes, all has obvious consequences. US politicians are too corrupt, or too stupid, to respond to reality. It's very sad to see. This bike factory is actually less automated than most of the factories in China. There are factories literally filled with robots, like those wheel making machines. They will have 1 or 2 people monitoring 100+ precision robots that never get tired, and never sleep.
Shout out to all the Taiwanese people for their hard work. My cult frame still going strong after 2 years

Same planet.
Tru. I always felt that bikes made in taiwan are of superior quality than the ones produced in my country :p
It's 2019 and the bike still holding up great :)
The engineering of some of the machinery (especially the rim and wheel machines) was absolutely SICK!!! 👍
I need these machines so i can keep my rim perfectly lined
Omg I have that black and red bmx. So this is where it was made
What model bike is it
Quality’s work and they get paid less and never get a raise, sad.
Wow after watchin this video makes me appriciate my bike a lil more cuz these people bust ass so we can have quality bmx bikes. Thanks guys.
Thank you🙏💯🎯
Never seen this before. Very interesting!
My awesome California design "P.K.RIPPER " IS built in Taiwan and they make dreams come true.
Thats a whole different world...
I wish someone would teach those machines how to fully tighten the spokes.
yep S&M all the way and i'm not even american
Something tells me that the whole staff lowkey shreds on a bmx...

Really ? REALLY ? Sorry, your comment is far to asinine to unpack. Bye.
lol...I suppose twice as expensive might be a problem if you are a kid....lol....price the ultimate consideration....holy fuck we are doomed.
Fbm makes frames in the US. So does Standard and S&M. They only run $20-$50 more than your average taiwan made frame and the quality is nicer.
Krusty Krew they dont make components tho or comepletes
That's why they have sister brands that do.
Interesting 👍🏼
i wish i could build a wheel that quick
Cool insight! Where can we find the carbon output figures of these processes?
That's why the bolts are so tight
Shoutout to my Jason phalen sig my 2017 gt bmx bike sig is going strong
with garry turner????
Woooow
What is the name of the factory?
Tóp

I thought gt was made in Taiwan?
@@kilocasanova6838completes are mostly china made and then after market frames are Taiwan.
bruh it's like a car factory
The people looked so unhappy ;(

Who will build bikes when Taiwanese labor becomes too expensive for American companies?

They all look sad. Gz
Boycott gt .....bring get back home baby....
Man that looks like a boring job
and now you know why complete bikes suck 99% of the time :)
Denn Foo nah... it depends on how you ride it and it depends how you built the the bike straight out of the box.
Hmmm.. This just makes me nervous ....
Reminds me of a slaughter house...... USA made only 4 me sorry
