Have you seen the KT-R1? It‘s the first device that looks „unbelievable“ to me, you got a whole PS2 running pretty smoothly in a Gameboy Advance sized package. I think it‘s gonna be the one that makes people that were on the fence the last few years finally commit. The only complaints are the lined up shoulder buttons and the shell design that looks 2010ish. What are your thoughts? Cheers!

Im very very happy to see these games running, and If you ever come back to testing anymore ps2 titles, I would love to see Gran Turismo 3 A-Spec. GT4 ran well, but not well enough for.most to consider playable. Hopefully GT3 actually can run on this beautiful device

7 months later, there's emulator changes that may need to be addressed. For example, the Github link in the description is 404, that repository no longer exists. Some stuff I'm reading online says the current official Dolphin would work better than it did anyway. You can find apks online for the MMJR version but it's old, and I won't link to any as their sources are not known if they're reliable or sketchy.
Ugh, the beyond good and evil sequel topic is a sore one. That games been in and out of development hell for over a decade. Encouraging to see it run so well on rp3+ in the opening area. its a masterpiece for sure.

about the super smash bros melee crash: it probably is the widescreen that crashes your game, it happens also on nintendont(a gamecube emulator for the wii)
For beyond good and evil widescreen you can disable widescreen hack and also use 4:3 aspect. Then you can use display scaling option to zoom into the image. Same for resident evil 4 i think. Both games have quite strange letterboxed widescreen which is embedded in a regular 4:3 aspect.
@@mickeymickey9914 the game is actually not anamorphic widescreen because it has hardcoded black bars at the top and bottom, wasting vertical resolution which is generally not the case for anamorphic content.
Hi I know this is like 5 months late and maybe you've already realized this but in Smash Brothers, if you want to turn off tap dashing, the thing you were complaining about, there is a setting in the game to where you can turn it off and have it so that your character only dashes when you move your stick twice in the direction you want to dash in
Trying to get Pokemon XD to run on the RP3+ has been a nightmare for me. Vulkan runs the game wonderfully on MMJR but battle arenas are overcome with flickering black texture errors unless if “Store EFB Copies to Texture Only” is disabled but then the game’s performance tanks extremely hard. OpenGL solves the graphical issues but at the cost of even more performance and won’t begin to run at fullspeed except with 20% clock speed and abysmal framerates in the overworld. I was wondering if you had any ideas of how to fix this, I’m super stuck :(
Do you ever experience sudden emulator crashes? I keep encountering it (across multiple emulators) on my 3+ with probably a couple dozen titles at this point. All games that have been reported as perfect or great on the comparability sheet, using recommended settings but no amount of tinkering seems to aleviate it. Just trying to figure out if this is a my device issue, or a retroid issue. Any help would be appreciated, Im going bonkers trying to keep Toadstool Tour running lol.

Sadly not. Best you can do in MMJR is quit the game, go to general settings and set game speed above 100% but you'd have to save and do that constantly.
It's bare, sometimes like with the Miyoo Mini you'll get an SD card with games but it's not strictly...looked well upon. With emulation you always should of the mindset that you need to get/find your own roms and that the emulators may require some setup.
There have been no reported issues of heat with RP3+. Multiple testers have said in the most intense cases it may get a little warm, but not enough to be uncomfortable to hold.
If you touch the 3 dots in the top right you can select Gamecube Input or Wii Input and set your controls. When you're in game swipe or touch the back button and press the 3 buttons again to see Toggle Controls, you can press Toggle All at the bottom to remove touch controls from the screen.
Sorry I forgot to check that one. All settings on except for "Immeditately Present XFB" and "Sync On Skip Idle", CPU Speed at 50%. Not perfect, probably could be tweaked a little or run better in another fork of Dolphin.
I know this is for GameCube but has anyone have any luck using the gyroscope of the rp3+ for Wii games? I can't for the life of me find the settings for it
When you're in game in MMJR, swipe to get the menu to appear and then tap the 3 dots in the top right and select sensor emulation. You'll have some options of which you'd like to turn on, so for example if you select tilt you can tilt the RP3+ left and right and that will work.
It's called Pegasus and uses a custom version of the shinretro theme that I added some stuff to, but some of it like the music and sounds are in the most up to date shinretro theme.
So I'm using Dolphin MMJR and it plays smoothly but sometimes the screen just goes white for a few seconds and then it goes back to normal. Like in pokemon Colosseum, everytime a poison type move is used I get a white screen until the poison animation is over. I have the same settings as you too, everything is normal until a poison move gets used. What settings can I mess with to fix this issue?
Switching the backend from Vulkan to OpenGL fixes it. I changed the CPU clock speed after that to 50% just in case and that seemed good. No idea what the performance will be like with OpenGL but in one of the battles I tested it seemed fine...strange bug tbh haha. If performance is terrible in OpenGL and you want to use Vulkan you could actually try looking for a HD texture pack for the game, small chance it might fix the problem but that's going the extra mile.
@@-roetaka so I did what you suggested and there's a lot of flickering. It runs smoothly, but some of the text boxes flicker or a character will flicker. I don't get any white screens but just some flickering. This will probably be the best it can be :/

I don't see why not, as long as it's not a cheap knock off one. I'm thinking of putting a 512gb one in, currently using a 256gb along with the 128gb internal storage. If you're compressing your games and not downloading everything under the sun I don't see why someone why need a 1tb.
Just got a retroid pocket 3+ and none of the buttons are working, I am extremely dissapointed. Now I wrote to the company, but who knows... My recommendation, don't buy it!
It's not on the store. I have links in my video description, you install it yourself by downloading the apk to you retroid pccket and then sideloading it with something like APK Installer from the Google Play Store.

Phantasy star doesn't play too nicely with save states and it's easy to mess up your save data. Stick to hard saves
