- A big truck launch needs a big venue, and the Texas Motor Speedway in Dallas was happy to oblige. Peterbilt Model 589s incorporating a larger cab with enhanced driver comfort and a completely new interior, trucked around the infield track with both PACCAR MX and Cummins engines and manual and automated manual transmission options.
The exterior is classic Peterbilt, sporting an aluminum hood, dual round 15-in. exterior air cleaners, a V-style sun visor and 7-in. exhaust stacks. The Model 589 options also include a Legendary Package that incorporates unique styling elements, including the Peterbilt script and spears logo on the hood, door pads and dash as well as unique brightwork on the exterior. The 589 is built on the same all-aluminum cab as the Models 579 and 567 and incorporates fuel-efficient features that reduce its environmental footprint, such as tire pressure monitoring and predictive cruise control, the OEM noted.
For a full walk around the truck and comments from Peterbilt's Jason Skoog, general manager; Scott Newhouse, chief engineer; and Jacob White, product marketing manager, watch the video above. - Авто/Мото
I love it, makes me wish my trucking career wasn't over
the new model 589 is such a beautiful truck! Well done Peterbilt.
589 looks great!
Can wait too see one with the extra sleeper extension fairings....to give the truck that traditional longer sleeper look
A Cummins in one of those trucks definitely would have been nice considering most 389’s have a Cummins in them.
Beauty!
Nice semi.
What a value! 😂😂😂
It's a beautiful truck. But I hate the dashboard inside the truck.
Tenho vontade de ganhar uma dessa
The Budlight of hood trucks
They never drive a truck East to West with the sun shining in on you most of the day from the side window. Have to put a large piece of aluminum to cover the left, front, up corner and run a piece all the way across so you don't get blinded by the sunshine. The dump the piece of crap trouble some Paccrap engine for the X15 Cummins engine that anyone will work on with 18 speed manual. Need to lobby for glider kits.
All these years and this is the best technology they have come up with? What a joke.
Honestly peterbilt is shooting their self in the foot on this hideous truck!
it not them it the gouv forcing them to *evolved* stupid regulation on emission and other shit every truck manifacturer have to go thrue theses.. there just trying to make oldtimer happy with new regulation so off course it not gonna be as good looking as a 389 you can't make new 389 anymore just like you can't do new hellcat..
broo they keep pushing there shitty mx13 no one that respect himself would want a pete with an fucking mx13 that engine is trash
