I love gas stations from the 50’s and 60’s like the Phillips stations with the pointed red awnings or Mobil stations with the round gas pumps. There are only two of those pumps left and they’re in Sleepy Eye, MN. Shell stations had what is called the “ranch” style of architecture and may be the most re-purposed gas stations of all. They seem to be especially destined to become beauty parlors and floral shops. I think it’s a case of people recognizing good architecture without realizing it.

    **Wonderful** series of videos!
I love the tiny, sleepy villages (I call them "villages" as that suggests a smaller place than a "town"). The empty roads through miles and miles of trees. Wonderful stuff!
